the shangri-la bangkok was the nicest hotel we stayed at on our 2-week honeymoon in thailand. it was undoubtedly 5-star. such a great value. pros: 1) free stuff! you must stay in the krungthep wing- it's a bit older and detached, but it is extremely nice and closer to the skytrain and river taxi. and they have so many free things, it's unbelievable. free amazing breakfast, free high tea and snacks, free soft drinks and juice and cookies in the room, free drinks and canapes in the evening. i mean, really, we didn't have to pay for food or drinks the whole time we were here. it was so nice sitting out by the pool, overlooking the river in the evening and drinking free drinks and eating free canapes. sounds like a small thing, but it was huge. 2) friendly, attentive staff. 5-star. 3) clean, elegant, luxurious, nice music playing, i mean this place absolutely felt like luxury. 4) value- you couldn't get this kind of service and value in the states for this price. unbelieveable value. 5) great workout facilities and pool. 6) absolute best location in bangkok. steps away from the river taxi and sky train, and being on the river is so nice in the evening. cons: none. i could go on and on about this hotel, it was truly wonderful.

I've stayed at 5-star hotels on several continents, often costing two or three times as much, but none has come close to the attention to detail, the personal kindness, or concern for guests' well-being on display. When my wife needed a nurse to attend to an infection, the manager of the hotel himself accompanied her to our room, made arrangements for us to go to a nearby hospital, and called on our return to be sure that she had received effective treatment. In the magnificent rooftop bar overlooking the city and the barge- and cruise-boat traffic on a wide bend of the Chao Praya River, it quickly became apparent that all the staff knew your name, and anticipated your every wish. The rooftop restaurant was pricey, but the food was as close to heavenly as it gets. And if you wanted something more mundane, the cluster of restaurants around the hotel pier could muster up a meal to suit every taste. It's the best of both worlds in this self-enclosed resort at the heat of a great city.

Great genuine 5 star hotel. We booked the 2 bedroom suite with river views. It's a nice big room and the view is very good. So much going happening on the river you could enjoy watching it for hours. The staff in the hotel are very well trained and know what a 5 star hotel should be like. The head chef (could be Australian) was at both dinner and breakfast for the buffet and I can say it's one of the best around. Location wise it's nice to not be on a busy road in Bangkok and be able to be out on the balcony and hear yourself think. The hotel has a ferry service to the next closest BTS station which makes it easy to get to anywhere you want or just take a metre taxi which are very cheap in Bangkok.

After checking out dozens of options for 5 star hotels in Bangkok decided that the Marriot at Thonburi was the best option. We were not disappointed as the rooms,facilities and grounds were a delight to our family. We have 19 yr old twins and a 13 yr old so we felt relaxed and welcome at all times. In house restaurants exhorbitantly priced. Poolside not as expensive, but you can always eat out. Thoroughly recommended if you want to stay outside the melee of downtown areas. At first we were put into rooms facing the freeway but after approaching the front desk were able to be moved to face the garden area which also had views of the river. This was an unexpected bonus without having to pay more. Don`t hesitate to book at the Marriott Resort and Spa as this really made our stay in Bangkok . It`s worth the expense if you can afford it...much cheaper to book through Agoda.

This hotel was AMAZING, the best hotel experience I've ever had. We booked this for a 30th birthday celebration and specifically wanted this hotel mainly for the rooftop bar/restaurant and the incredible balconies. I had seen this on the Hangover movie and I'd spent months stalking them on instagram and by the time we came to depart I was worried that I had built it up too much and it was going to be a let down. I was SO wrong. From the second we stepped out of the car on arrival we were treated like VIP's, the staff were so incredibly lovely, they went above and beyond to ensure we had the best time, they sent me a total of THREE birthday cakes in our 5 day stay, and one of them was brought to us at our dinner at sirocco by about 5 staff all enthusiastically singing happy birthday. The location is perfect, the views are some of the best I've ever seen (upgrade to tower club river view TRUST ME) and the staff are ALL incredible. We would never stay any where else in Bangkok!

My first stay at Lebua at State Tower. Was here with my friend for a short getaway from work and the hectic world. Lebua has made my bangkok stay a very pleasant and memorable one. This is, by far the best hotel I have ever stayed with (in Bangkok and many other countries, even the famous international brands). Everything about the hotel was just great and fabulous. What impressed me the most is the attentive, efficient, highly personalised and warmth service felt by all staff; the extra mile just to make sure guests are pleased and kept happy throughout the stay, yet remained non-intruding. From the moment I step foot onto Bangkok airport, the airport transfer, concierge to room check in, everything was perfect, seamless and well-orchestrated. The housekeeping even specially cleaned up the room beforehand to make sure it is totally dust free, when they know I have nose allergy! And indeed it is, without a spark of dust. Special thanks to all Lebua team crew effort, for keeping me a healthy and happy guest. A worthy highlight about the dining, as I have tried 2 restaurants (Sirocco and Mezzaluna) during my 3 nights stay. Both are special and pleasant in its own way, however, I would reckon that Mezzaluna is a bit underrated and overshined by the famous Sirocco (from the movie Hangover II). Personally I prefer Mezzaluna as a truly fine dining experience, the food, service, chefs, string ensemble, ambience; everything is exquisitely presented and performed. It's the second time I dined there, and I still loved it as much. So in a nutshell, Lebua- A five star hotel with six star service, living up to its tagline of "creating an unique memorable experience for its guests". I would definitely visit again, and would recommend Lebua to anyone whom want to have an out of the world experience you wouldn't forget. By the way, take a Tower Club room with river view, you will not regret it :) All in all, an unforgettable experience in mesmerising Bangkok - priceless.

The Centre Point Hotels were recommended to us by a family member who always stays there. We chose this one because of its proximity to the river and the train station. We were impressed by the helpful, knowledgeable staff, the large, airy studio apartment, and the very nice restaurant where we enjoyed breakfast each day and one dinner, on the night we were leaving. We were able to walk to the nearby train station to visit the Jim Thompson house (certainly worth seeing), as well as a stop on the tourist boat route. We found the river boat was the best way to see the various temples and other important sites in the area, and a good way to feel a part of the excitement of the very busy river, the heart of the city. We had dinner twice at the Mandarin Oriental, on the terrace overlooking the river, a magical experience, with the fairy lights in the trees on the terrace and outlining the boats constantly plying the river. The food was lovely, as well.

Overall, the stay was as expected of Hilton standards. The warmest staff there are probably the boat shuttle personnel, and doormen. The others are rather cold and a little too impersonal. The worst is probably the 'breakfast door-lady' who never fail to embarrass my wife and I for two days. Perhaps it was my mistake to have made an error during my online booking to indicate only 1 person. Despite being assured during check-in that I can just walk in and the extra will be charged accordingly, I am still subjected to a 5 minutes questioning and further checking in the systems. But I suspect she does not understand my request "Please charge to my room". So, be extra careful when doing the booking, otherwise you would be harassed. Anyway, the breakfast is plain, at best, for a 5-star hotel. Although far, the hotel's boat shuttle makes it up. It is convenient, safe, regular, FOC and connects you almost directly to the BTS (Saphan Taksin) and the river express central jetty. Another public ferry (6 Bahts return) connects you nearer to Chinatown. For the adventurous, do visit the market directly beside the hotel for good authentic Thai food.

The Royal Orchid is mine (and my partners) hotel of choice in Bangkok primarily due to its location but also as it is a nice hotel to stay. Every room has a view of the river and the view only gets better the higher up you go. The staff are always very friendly and courteous whereby nothing is too much trouble. You can dine right on the edge of the river or inside at one of the many restaurants depending on your choice. The buffet food is nice but somewhat expensive but show me a 5 star hotel where it isn't. One of the true beauties of this hotel is the location. Yes you are right on the Chao Praya River as are many hotels. However, you have a river boat pier right next door so catching one of the many ferries up and down the river couldn't be easier. You also have the free shuttle boat down to the closest train station. And if you feel so inclined. the dinner boat cruises depart next door on the other side. Additionally, China Town is either a one stop ferry ride or a pleasant walk away. I have stayed here a number of times and will continue to do so when transiting through Bangkok.

I loved every bit of it, i was a little worried since i booked it on a budget, but truly the hotel easily matches any 4 star hotel. It was a WOW experience. The hotel is located on the riverside, which has true stunning views of the chao praya river, both from the room and the garden outside where you can just laze on a chair overlooking the river or take the relaxing swim. the food was also great, we had buffet breakfast which had a pretty good spread of items.The room is minimalistic which was perfect for us since were travelling most of the time. transport: its a 5-7 min walk to the ferry, and from there you can take the chao praya daily pass which takes you to many of the attractions like wat arun, grand palace etc. its also close to the skytrain .good options to avoid traffic at peak times.There are plenty of fast food joints outside the hotel incase you want to sample something else. Plenty of good decent salons for a quick facial, mani/pedi, foot massage. Another thing to mention is that even if its a budget hotel, you will not have to put up with any kind nuisance like noise, unclean rooms etc There was only one negative that i would write- it would be great if the hotel had a boat to cross over to the other side of the river, as thats the starting/end point for most important ferries, it would save the walk to the ferry, which sometimes gets muddy if it rains.

I highly recommend Naga Residence. The place is very clean and it has great security. You have to access an automated sliding glass door first using your room key card before you enter the hotel's elevator. So you feel very safe. The lobby also has free cookies, juice, water and computer for the customers to use. Their wifi connection is also very strong. The room is spacious and the hotel location is perfect because there are a lot of food places to choose from around the area. It is near 7/11, a mall, walking distance to the pier if you want to ride a boat to cross the other side of the river where the temples are located. I would like to personally commend the supervisor, Mr. Marlon for helping us with our accommodation and itineraries. He is also Filipino like me so he really helped me a lot in contacting my merchants with our itineraries and bookings since he knows how to speak in Thai, he helped me with the translation. :) He really went above and beyond until our last day in Thailand because he also helped us in getting a ride to the airport. He really has great customer service. The guard named Umporn is very friendly and helpful as well. Also, I left my pair of earrings in our room and the housekeeping staff turned it over to their front desk. I really appreciate their honesty. For those who are planning to go to Bangkok, I recommend Naga Residence. It's the perfect place to stay in Thailand! :)

The Mandarin Oriental hotel, the original hotel situated on the River of Kings, intrigues passers by on the river taxis, and captures the imagination of all who are lucky to visit or live in Bangkok. Arrival there for a celebratory 2 night stay lived up to all expectations. Service is immaculate from the moment you step out of your vehicle, paperwork executed in comfort in your own room and all amenities explained by the person who becomes your personal butler. The rooms are well-appointed and luxurious, on the smaller side but with no reduction of style or comfort. Air con, often the most disrupting element of any hotel, is quiet and effective. All guests were invited to a cocktail reception to meet the GM - where alcohol and canapes were of the highest standard and the atmosphere in the colonial Author's Lounge beyond compare. As part of our celebration we booked dinner at Le Normandie - the French restaurant on the top floor of this building, overlooking the river or the city. We were taken to our secluded table - privacy and elegance are maintained despite the small size of restaurant and looked after beautifully by the staff, including personal service from the Maitre d'Hote. Food and beverage were all sublime. We also had dinner on the riverside terrace - a magical environment for a select menu. Breakfasts on the riverside terrace are again out of this world, though if you were to come merely for breakfast rather expensive. The buffet includes all manner of delights pleasing all nationalities and tastes. The hotel is easily accessed by skytrain and then a lovely, courteous shuttle boat service. Valet parking takes the strain from those who have approached by road and taxis are carefully sought for all without their own transport. The area over the river includes a Thai restaurant, Spa and leisure facilities. All of the hotel building and grounds are remarkable for their flowers and trees.

When my boyfriend and I were planning to book a Hotel in Bangkok, I wanted to have a tub in our room with reasonable prize, since it was our first night we wanted it to be amazing. I found this hotel and was won over its photos of the rooms and was transpired in person, which we were very contented. Upon arrival the FO was very welcoming and helpful, it didnt took us long to wait for the check in procedure and was assisted to our room after 5mins. We booked their Executive Deluxe and it was one of the best rooms. The tub was built for two, best for honeymooners, the bed is big and all the amenities are personalize which makes you feel like you're in a luxurious hotel. Location wise, its very quiet with a lot of street food, which their street is known for, aside from being the oldest roads in Bangkok (a good history), It's a good 5-8mins walk to Asiatique, where you can enjoy night shopping and mid-high level restaurants, before reaching Asiatique, you can pay a visit in a nearby temple for a little sightseeing. You can also save money and time by getting on the boat since its nearby Chao Praya river. Kudos to everyone and I hope to see you all again!

The hotel is located in the historical area of Bangkok (Banglamphu) where you can find lots of delicious foods and travel attractions around (very close to Khaosan, Phra Athit Pier and the Grand Palace). I was there with my partners with the double room (River View). We could see the Rama VIII bridge from the room. Facility in the room are all very good. The only thing that almost disappoint us was the lady at the hotel gave us the wrong room at the very first time. We need to show them the booking confirmation that we paid for the river view room. She changed the room for us. At the lower floor of the hotel, there is bar and restaurant where you can eat, drink and see the view of Chaopraya River together. Beverages are at reasonable price. I would recommend if you would like to take a break in Bangkok for this hotel

The Navalai has become my go-to place in Bangkok when I come here to use the National Archives, which are located up Samsen Road. What I like best is the familiarity of the rooms: the design and quality of the furnishings is right up there with a good western hotel, but with a distinctively Thai flair. I love Phra Arthit Road's small cafes and old Thai mansions (several princes had houses along this road), and at nighttime it's quite the hotspot for local (Thai) hipsters to come and hang out. If you're not into that, the Navalai is nice and quiet -- at least, the "serene corner" and "river view" rooms are. :-) The restaurant downstairs has a lovely river view, and the breakfast buffet has really nice variety on offer. Typically the spread includes ham & bacon, scrambled eggs, various breads for toast, croissant and baguette, cold cereals, fresh fruit, and yogurt (not to mention an Asian breakfast option as well). Though there is tea and juice on offer, their fresh coffee can't be beat. When you are too tired from sightseeing to leave your room, you can room service, although it's a little pricey. (For cheaper drinks and snacks, try the 7-Eleven downstairs, or any one of the vendors down the street.) In addition to the 7-Eleven, there's an ATM in the front of the building, and a money-changing booth just up the street. Lots of buses and taxis coming along this street at all hours. Oh, and don't forget the riverside park next to the Old Fort at the end of the street. It's easy to get around town from here, too -- whether by river boat (15 baht will get you all the way to the Saphan Thaksin bridge SkyTrain station) or a taxi (about 60 baht to Siam Square, where you can also pick up the SkyTrain). The Grand Palace, National Museum and Thammasat University are very close by as well. Enjoy!

Beautiful hotel and grounds, large spacious rooms with tall ceilings. Breakfast was very good and the dining area looked out onto the river. Relaxing to watch the river traffic as you eat breakfast. Front desk knowledgeable ad helpful, everyone was outgoing and friendly. Location was a plus, a market shopping area next door. Right across the river from Grand Palace and Wat Pho, river ferry is 3.5 batt and stop about every 20 minutes? Wat Arun is on same side as hotel about a 15 minute walk. To go to Astique Riverfront take river shuttle to Central Pier .To arrive from airport use metered cab, about 9 dollars US, using a set price would be double the cost, they will cover the meter and try to talk you out of using meter but price will double. Grab Taxi is great for traveling to other areas of the city. A really wonderful stay and would stay again and recommend to friends.

For many years now, we have been looking for a place to stay after our old hotel was torn down and replaced...... The New Siam Riverside may be it!! Good location on the river, about a five minute walk from the orange express boat pier. Many other restaurant options near by. The food services in the hotel are good. The breakfast buffet is good and varied. The hotel is old style, but well maintained and clean. The staff is good. The pool is nice and in good condition right next to the river. The New Siam has a group oh guest houses in this area.... We have stayed at the New Siam 2 across the street and it was good also.

very nice Hotel! very clean and nice breakfast. very close to public transport (subway and river boats) - so it`s easy to go to the important sights in Bangkok. Hotel ist very good and all you need for a weekend in Bangkok. It has a small pool and fitness room too. Next to it is the Shangri La Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental where you can go in the evening to have a drink at their terrace to see the river. (very nice and romantic) Staff is very nice and they also offer spa treatments in the hotel. Next to the hotel are also some restaurants and a shopping mall. For the price of the room it`s the best Hotel you can get in Bangkok.

This is a relatively new hotel, thus, some drivers will find difficulty finding the place. That is the only disadvantage of this hotel. Otherwise, the staff were just excellent! The hotel interior was pretty creative, i believe its a restored shop house. They have a beautiful restaurant below, where you can have dinner overlooking the Chao Praya river and the Grand Temple.. such beautiful views during the night.. !!! Breakfast served was a feast, and very tasty! Even the General Manager would come by to say hello. Great personalised service from all the staff there really! Location wise i wouldnt say its the best, but its very near the Grand Temple if you wanna do sight seeing. I also wouldnt recommend stay here for families with Children as there are no elevators in the hotel, only a spiral staircase. Its a great hotel for singles, and couples who want something different. Overall, i had a great stay in the hotel because of the staff ! I would come back to stay again!

when i was early check-in, all staffs are so kind and nice service. We went on a family summer vacation peacefully. the hotel room so clean and pleasant. my room is too big, big restroom, big window. everything is cool. the location is perfect. BTS saphan taksin maybe walk 15minutes. nearby robinson department and river city. i am willing to go again. I think it was the best choice in Bangkok.

My wife and I stayed at Loy La Long in the Black Room and absolutely loved it. The place itself is a bit hard to find at first, tucked into a temple complex (that also hosts a car park) and abutting the Chao Praya, but luckily as we hunted for it one of the staff members saw us and led us straight to the front door. Once inside we immediately fell in love with the restored teak house that makes up the hotel. The owner and her staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful in making recommendations and helping you navigate this massive city. The hotel itself is just outside of the Chinatown area, so you are walking distance from some of the best food in Bangkok. The room has a fantastic view of the river (literally right on it) and a very comfortable bed. Every morning they cooked and served a breakfast of our choosing (requested the previous day) and every day it was excellent. There are two common areas that also look out on to the river with an open-air design, and there are snacks, water, beer, etc. that you can purchase at any time by writing down what you take on a post-it note and adding it to your room tab (perfect for a night cap when you finally get home after a day in the city). One hundred percent we would recommend booking here and would stay here again ourselves on our next trip.

After spending a few days in the hustle and bustle of Silom , I wanted to have a few day quiet on the river - I love discovering new trendy little hotels and this one was perfect. Open for only about a month the hotel is set on the river banks of the Chao Phraya Its a small hotel with very few rooms. As you approach the hotel from one of the little back streets you arrive at a Moroccan/Asian style terracotta building , the entrance with its small red pool and main building is ornate with tiles and colonial style furniture. The rooms are unique and quite fabulous colonial style again , I had a river view room. and loved sitting on my terrace at night watching the boats glide pass. The free standing bathtub was great of which I used every night after walking around the city. and the beds well I slept like a bug in a rug and woke up to the sun rising over silom I loved it and the staff were great -thank you for a great stay - I will be back 🙏🏼

I stayed at 4 different hotels in Bangkok and this was my favourite. Yes, it's a bit further away from the main attractions, but a taxi is cheap or the river boat which stops near most main sights. The Tongtara is in fact located only 10 minutes walk from Asiatique, an amazing shopping and restaurant area which houses a night market from around 4pm onwards. The stalls all sell quality products with some more touristy type things, but on the whole it's much nicer wares than Khaosan Road. The food is also good here with a number of different restaurants- some very reasonable (where I ate), and others very expensive (which I looked longingly at!) But if you have the money, all good! The hotel itself is set back a little way from the main road, with a very plush lobby, a great pool (which many of the days I was there had no-one else in it) a decent breakfast, and lovely big rooms. Myself and my friend were staying there for a few days and we had a double bed each, one whole wall was a window out onto the city, tv, fridge, big bathroom- it was great!

The best thing about this place was the view of the river. The riverfront room overs a panoramic view of the river, located just across from the Grand Palace and National museum. The balcony offers a great place to sit, have a coffee and watch the river traffic. Breakfast was buffet style and had a limited but good selection of items. Nothing spectacular though. The Wang Lang market is good, right outside the door, and offers a wide variety of street foods and drinks, but it shuts down early, between 8-9pm, and got quite crowded on the weekends. The biggest issue was the lack of decent restaurants in the area. I've never had and issue finding a decent meal in Bangkok before, but this area really lacked anything of quality. Also, being on the other side of the river causes some complications in transportation. You can take the river boat taxis during the day from the nearby pier, but they stop running early (8pm weekdays, 7pm weekends) which means either a long taxi ride back in the evening or taking the sky train over the river and then taking a taxi back to the hotel. Also keep the phone number of the hotel handy, because most taxi drivers don't know the place. (Though they do know the name of the nearby hospital, Sirirjit). To sum up, the views are amazing, but the location is a bit of a hassle.

Service provide by all staff was on par with the best hotels in Hong Kong. They did so much to make me comfortable and enjoy my stay. I loved the room, decor, river view and how well the housekeeping staff took care of me and did the best job ever making my room comfortable. They all genuinely wanted me to enjoy my stay. In fact I had just returned at 3 PM and the front desk called to let me know they were serving tea - outstanding service and delicious tea. The view of the river is peaceful and part of the experience. Important Note: the location is not curbside to easy in and out taxi service. Getting to the hotel involves a walk through a neighborhood and a good sense of direction. The staff do all possible to mitigate this aspect, and many people stay there just because of the feeling of remoteness. Highly recommend this hotel.

Would you be able to find a hidden and romantic spot, in the middle of Bangkok? It exists! It’s even quiet over there (Yes, Quiet in BKK). And although its near to the old town, you can get there only by the Hotel owned 24/7 boat service. It’s the Praya Palazzo. It’s really a place for relax, enjoying the silence or watching over the River. But, we are still in Bangkok, isn’t? Well, just walk to the Hotel Pier, and after a few minutes ride you will enjoy again the tumultuous Bangkok. The Hotel even gives you a phone, so you can call the Hotel Boat whenever you need or want get back to the “heaven of silent Bangkok”. After enjoying your night, get your “a la carte” breakfast at the pool or in the dining room, before heading again into the noise of the City of Angels. I never thought a City like this could have a so relaxing place. The Praya Palazzo might not be the ultimate Luxury property, but it’s small size (17 rooms), centrally but “hidden” location, friendly Staff, nice views, historical building and “romantic setting” are values of it’s own. Everything it’s nicely designed, and while rooms are rather small, they are comfortable and with a touch of the past (while meeting with modern standards). Just don’t concern that a wooden floor makes noise when you walk. This is normal! (as it should be!) Well, it’s just a lovely place, even more. A place to feel good. (Not for Backpackers or Party People) No wonder I liked it! This is truly a Boutique Hotel. For Mainstream, better book elsewhere (so I might still get a free room!). I shouldn’t even talk about this place… ;)

We use the RR as a base during our visits to this part of the world. On this trip we landed in Bangkok, stayed at the RR, went to Myanmar and returned to the RR, and then went to Laos and returned for the 3rd time for 3 more days before returning to USA. The RR is next to the Boat Stop no. 16. The boats stop running at 19:00 but it runs all day like a river bus. In 10 to 15 minutes and 40 baht (about $.50 usd) my wife and I zip to boat stop 9 (the palace, the Temple and many canal trips) and lots of local tourist shopping, to boat stop 7 which is the Yahoudi River Front pavilion filled with restaurants on the river, boat stop no. 5 which is the edge of china town, the flower market and another pavilion of fine restaurants and shopping, or boat stop 1 which is the connection point for he Bangkok Highspeed overhead city train system to quickly get around the interior of Bangkok. These would cost between $7 and 20 dollars USD to take a taxi to and take between 45 minutes to an hour of traffic. Next to the RR is a 7-11 which we found to be convenient to grab a snack, or beverage at before we went to our room. 1 walkable block away 2 river dinner ships leave every night for a fun 2 hour river cruise - about $45 USD pp for buffet and about $14 USD to order from a menu that has no English. They are 10 stories of rooms, many of which have small balconies with chairs and tables that overlook the wonderful Chao Phyao River. The room size is generous and all of the ones we have stayed at with balconies have a small refrigerator and safe. The hotel is about 1 hour taxi ride $20 USD from the BKK airport or Don Mueng airports during rush hour or 45 minutes off time. Always use public taxis and not limos.

A lifelong friend and I are traveling Thailand. The Swan Hotel is wonderful. It is not a new hotel but deserves 5 stars. The room is very basic but comforatable. The pool is fantastic and beautiful. The staff is the best. Always there to help you. Breakfast and lunch is very good with wonderful quick service. I will always stay here when I return. Thank You---Patricia Smith---Florida USA

Whether you’re a solo traveller, couple, or family - this place is absolutely amazing! From the moment you lay eyes on this aesthetically pleasing quaint boutique hotel - you will be in love! Talakkia is a hidden gem (literally, down a secure back alley), just a ten minute walk from Chinatown. The staff were exceptional, the food moderately priced and delicious, and the room superbly clean with everything you need - and not to mention the unique, modern-industrial chic decor, so cute! Would stay here a million times more if I could have the chance to! Handy mini bar with snacks and drinks to purchase, tiny (but wonderfully relaxing) outside pool and spa/reading/relaxing area, elevator, and ice cream are just a few of the other great perks! Side note - needed a quick shower after checking out and leaving for the day, staff easily let my partner and I come in, rent a towel, and shower up before a long night train ride (appreciate this so much!) - Talakkia, one of the best stays EVER.
