"Best price you can get right in the middle of Johor Bahru City Center, ease of walking distance to the CIQ if you plan to travel to Singapore while nearby shopping center allows easy access to food and retail purchasing. One thing if you travel by car to this place, you need to pay parking per day/entry (RM6) via TnG card, but the hostel offers top-up value service. Accommodation wise they have clean comfy beds and every bed has a charging station and grooming mirror. Their common area is well equipped for both heavy or light cooking and storing your food. Shared baths have shower heaters feature and hair dryer. Longer term travelers have a lot of value gained for this price. Depending on which part of the building your bedroom located, mine L2B2 is located near to a noisy bar premise, so it is a little distracting when I am trying to sleep. It would have been solved with a sound-proof window. Staff are very friendly in guiding me around the place to familiarize with the area. "

"it was busy day when I came as it's two days before deepavali festive. So, front office received so many guest check-in and I have to wait for about 30 minutes. The staff received my Agoda's booking without any problem and finally gave me the room I ordered. The room is quite tight but it meets our basic needs. It's clean, air-con worked well and despite providing limited channel, they have Nickleodeon for my son. If you opt to stay at Citrus, just make sure that you book room with window, especially if you're claustrophobic. The only major downside is there's no water kettle. Bathroom is also clean and suiting our basic needs. The hotel provided amenities (soap, shower gel, teethbrush and toothpaste). I book room with breakfast and they served good breakfast. There are always flakes and milk, bread with toaster and salad. They changed the buffet everyday. The best thing from Citrus is its location. It's just across of JB Sentral. So, once you finished immigration process all you have to do is find exit way to City Square Mall and find Jalan Station. You can find countless street food hawkers at night around the hotel. Or, if you prefer cafe or restaurant you can find at City Square Mall across the hotel. If you pick Citrus, always make sure that you book room with window"

"1) Location Very strategic location and near to many eatery places. It is 25 minutes' drive to Legoland, 35 minutes' drive to Forest City and 1 hour's drive to Desaru Fruit Farm 2) Apartment Our 2-bedroom apartment is new and clean. Towels and body soap is provided. Washing machine, clothes hangers and 2 poles are provided in the balcony to hang the clothes and towels. Water pressure is good and the water heater works perfectly. However, there is only 1 bathroom/toilet in the 2-bedroom apartment. It would be better if : a) a rubber floor mat is put inside the toilet as it can be slippery when wet. b) more toilet rolls to be provided (we were only provided 2 toilet rolls for 3 nights' stay). We informed the management on the 1st day and they promised to ask the cleaner to deliver the toilet rolls to us, but until the 4th day when we checked-out, the toilet rolls were not delivered. We had to get our own supply. 3) Check-In Procedure This can be improved as follows: a) The Hotel Management should contact the guests at least 1 day before check-in to explain on the check-in procedure. I asked Ivan a day earlier (contact as stated in Agoda) for the contact no. of his collegue who are in charge of the checking-in, as I am concerned that to transfer RM200 as deposit into UHA Management The check-in procedures was only given upon transferring RM200 4) Price The price is reasonable for a 2-bedroom apartment. "First, I must say this is an excellent hotel which deserves more than a pat on the shoulder! I stayed from 06-08dec and its only at the last minute - on 05dec late afternoon that i emailed the hotel to request for a birthday cake. To my surprise; they took note of this last-min request and even decorated the room with balloons and gave my friend a nice bouquet of flowers and a whole cake! ALL the staffs I've met are sincere and always wit a smile. The location is great too! You just need to exit from City Square office tower; cross the road and you will see a Citrus Hotel, walk along the left lane into the row of shops and within 3mins you will see Belllo hotel. Its next to a 7-11. Its also close to those cafe hopping places along Jalan Tan Hiok Nee - probably 5-8min walk? Just look for the OCBC building and walk towards there! One thing to take note is probably the shower head holder. It does not allow the shower head to be tilted which makes bathing a little difficult. Also, the door does not seem to be sound proof? I could easily hear chit-chats outside the room early morning which can be quite disturbing. Other than that all is good!; beds are clean and you have all the basic necessities. Its definitely VALUE FOR MONEY!"

"JB is the armpit of Malaysia, and the City's unpleasant and run-down hotel scene does reflect this perfectly. Hard to believe therefore, that such a hidden gem still can be found. The Grand Jade is located not far from the CIQ and JB Sentral, towards the sea. From the JB Sentral Bus station, where the airport Express stops, it is about 7-8 minutes walk. I discovered it while sitting on the said Bus a week earlier, and after several nasty experiences in the downtown-area, I luckily decided to give the Grand Jade a try. The rooms, which are obviosuly all different in size and design, are tastefully decorated with quality-hardwood-furniture. the mattress is excellent, not too soft, but as well not hard as concrete. the bathroom is very small (at least in my room), and the sink is inside the actual room, but that did not bother me. they give you design-toiletries (hand-made designer-soap!!!), and they give you a small basket with snacks for free - quality snacks, no rubbish: 2 packs of expensive Marigold Multi-fruit-juice, 100% juice, no sugar added. Cookies with no preservatives added. The big flat-screen TV has Astro with several (though not too many) English and Chinese channels. Sadly, there is no fridge in the room, this is the one big let-down, particularly as there is no convenience store around where you could just drop by and buy a cold drink or whatever. Kettle, coffee/tea, Hairdryer is provided. some rooms obviously do not have a window, but mine had. I would not have accepted a windowless room for that price. the problem with the location is, that there is a lot of street noise right outside, and even though the windows are good and of high standard, they can not block all the street noise. But nevertheless, this was a very positive stay, and if I am unlucky enough that I have to stay in JB again in the future, this small hotel will be my first consideration for sure. these people actually understand the meaning of hospitality - they deserve your business !"
