We stayed here for a night, along with family members, for my wifes graduation at the University. We had three rooms total. Its an old hotel, I don't think there are actually any new ones in Surathani. But it is clean, well maintained, and our rooms (suite) were tastefully done with all the modern amenities. The hotel was fully booked, and had been all week. So its hard to judge it on a day to day basis, but I thought the staff handled the volume and all the customers demands extremely well. I don't think we were inconvenienced once for anything (meals, check in, parking, etc) due to the large amount of people there. I have been to plenty of hotels in Thailand where this does NOT happen, with far fewer guests, so I do commend the managers of this establishment. This of course is not a resort hotel, so commenting on how "fun" it is or how nice the pool or spa is doesn't seem applicable. Its a good place to stay in Surathani if you need to spend a night. Probably since this is not a hot tourist destination, I feel we got a lot of value for our money. The breakfast is very much for Thais, but there was plenty of food and I left full. The location is just a few blocks from Central, if you need to do some shopping.

After having a disappointing stay in a hotel in Koh Phangan rated 3 stars I was expecting worse. The hotel is simple but clean and it has good taste. The staff is very kind and helpful. It doesn't offer much but what they give you is top class. Good towels and a clean room. You won't get free coffee and tea, just the two bottles of water you get everywhere in Thailand. Anyways I assume most people are just passing by to get somewhere else so it's perfect for that. It's very close to the night market where you can buy cheap authentic Thai food. Also, they will book a taxi to the airport for you if you ask for 350 baht. It was just what I needed and definitely recommend it.

We were on a road trip from Malaysia all the way to Chiang Rai. Suratthani (S Tara) was a stop by for us to put up a night. We booked this room purely based on reviews on Agoda and the room was very cheap! We werent expecting much for the price we paid but we were SURPRISED when we arrived. We reached the hotel at midnight (1am) and the staff actually came out and greet us and helped us with the luggages all the way to the room. Something even 4/5 star hotels might not do at times. Room was decently comfortable, clean and spacious. Air conditioning was a little noisy but i wouldnt complain about that for what its worth. Breakfast was also included in the room price and the variety was decent. All in all, i'd definitely recommend this hotel for budget travellers looking for a decent hotel (best value for money).

We stayed only one night on our way to Koh Samui. The hotel is located 70km away from Racha ferry terminal but we were already very exhausted driving for 10 hrs from Bangkok by the time we got there and needed to rest. The hotel is tucked in a little alley but not that difficult as there is Tesco Lotus on the other side of the road. The hotel is super clean and the female staff at the reception seems genuinely happy to provide good service. The shower, bed etc, everything was GREAT considering what we paid. There is a little local Thai restaurant with picture menu in front of the hotel or you can walk 500 m to Tesco Lotus for dinner. The parking is reasonably spacious. Great stay.

Opened about 1 year ago very new clean place. Quality bedding, sheets etc. Spacious rooms plenty of parking. We had a room with 2 doubles to accomadate our family but the price only included 2 Adults so they charged us an extra ฿370 for our nanny which included breakfast. When we called down for an extra pillow they wanted an additional ฿50 for that. They said the breakfast was an American breakfast, nothing American about it and if I was reviewing based on that they would get 1 out of 5 stars. But as a thai breakfast very typical fresh and clean and it's 3-4 star worthy Over all nice place I would stop again on our way to Koh Samui about 1 hour to the ferry.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby and are baggage was quickly attended to by porters once we exited ghe cab. The front desk expected us and had our reservation ready to go (the first time this has happened in 4 weeks if travelling). Check in was smooth though we had to pay extra for my breakfast since our occupancy was booked for only 1,not 2 on their system. The rooms are dated but clean and I always got a great sleep. There were no bugs in our room but a few large, slow mosquitoes in the lobby. I really enjoyed my Thai food in the restaurant and ate there many times. The service was great consistently for my husband and I. Breakfast is good too with a mix of thai and western foods, so you should be able to find something you will enjoy. The pool is sizable and refreshing. Massages were outstanding, we had 4 between my husband and I, all around 300 baht. They go very hard so you may be quite sore the next day, keep that in mind if you're flying. Our laundry service was efficient and undergarments were folded in packaged together in cellophane bags, while our larger items were all ironed, hung, and placed in our room wardrobes later that afternoon. Prices are per piece, not weight, and laundry staff did not speak English but were friendly and helpful nonetheless. Much of the staff speaks very little English but we had no problems getting our needs met. This hotel also has a large number of thai guests who are travelling as well. Take a tuk tuk for 15-20 baht per person to the night market if you'd like some street food. The area has other restaurants and western food in the area too. Overall, it's convenient having the pool, massage, and restaurant all under one roof. Great value for the money.

A stop off on the way down to Had Yai. Brand new hotel with everything pristine. Rooms spacious and everything functional. Plenty of parking. Nice clean swimming pool. A walk about exercise park across the road on the island called Koh Lamphu and an excellent restaurant called Crossroads next door by the river. Even a 7-Eleven and Lotus just outside the hotel. Could not have picked a better place with all the above within 5-minutes walking distance.

Stopped for one night before taking the flight. Clean, cheap and just what we needed. Staff doesn’t speak such good English, we tried booking the taxi for the airport and it didn’t come at the time agreed. Impossible to flag down a taxi from the street early in the morning. Eventually someone showed up but the receptionist wasn’t helpful at all in solving the situation.

In the middle of many great restaurants and a short walk to the riverside. Women at reception were excellent, very helpful, good English and they had responded quickly when I emailed them earlier to make a change to the booking. The hotel is very well managed and very clean. We booked the super deluxe king bedroom. The hotel décor is quite new. Our room was at the back of the hotel, very quiet with limited street noise which allowed us a nice sleep in. It is a weird shape but has everything you need for a good stay; nice bed, clean linen, good bathroom, safe, kettle and fridge, good table and bench space. This let us have breakfast in the room which suits us. The air conditioning was so good we turned the fan to low. Wifi was reliable with OK speed. This middle size family/ business hotel suited us very well.

One of the better hotel / serviced rooms I had stayed so far. Price is one of the best in Surat Thani given its star rating. The staff are very helpful, trying the best to respond to each of your request to their best ability. Morning breakfast is very delicately prepared by the cafe staffs, served fresh and hot. Overall, this serviced residence gives their guest a very homely feeling. I will definitely return to Centrino when travelling in Surat Thani. Deserved to have 3.5 stars or more.

I was really miffed that this hotel list itself as city center, and location location! It is a 6.5 km taxi ride to the city center and bus station. I booked "city center" to be able to catch a early morning bus. They are perpetrating seriously false advertising. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay and the staff were very cordial. It was surprising that a hotel catering to the international clients would have a waitress who speaks literally no English. She was sweet and eager to please but the language barrier was A big one. How about Basic English classes for Hotel employees who want it ? How much could that cost in terms of the benefit of being able to communicate with international clients? This is a 100+ room hotel!

Ideal hotel for transition stay to Koh Samui for those flying-in to Surat Thani via AirAsia. However, locating this hotel would be tough as insufficient signage to hotel, recommended to take taxi from Surat Thani airport to the hotel. Note however that hotel room (exception to Family room) does not have kettle for water boiling and reception/housekeeping do not have extra kettle for loan. Those with young children, consider taking Family room, it's really spacious and decent room for overnight stay before depart to Koh Samui the next day. Central Plaza is walking distance from hotel (~ 1km, 20 minutes walk), note that the shopping center close at 9pm local time. We're surprise that the hotel serve really decent breakfast (noting the 3-star rating), we're more than satisfied to the food served. The hotel staffs are really nice and helpful , however, they are not proficient in English language. Highly recommended hotel for overnight stay before depart to Koh Samui next morning.

We booked two rooms at this hotel, we had the deluxe and our friends the superior duplex..(we both wanted the superior but there was not enough left). Both rooms for the price to be fair, was spectacular! I think the hotel should be rated higher than 3 stars! I have stopped in "5*" places that where definitely of much lower quality! Our friends room with the gardened balcony, whirlpool bath and spacious contemporary design was particularly impressive. We didnt make breakfast but im sure it would have been great judging on the rest of the hotel. The staff on reception, didnt really speak any english, however, they pulled a freind in from somewhere to help, who arranged for laundry for us and even VERY kindly took us out for food, then picked us up included with the price! After coming in from the jungle at koh sok, the luxury we found here was most welcome... Would I go back if in area...? YES!

We travel in a group of 30ppl++ that include few families and kids can easily fall in love in this hotel. The hotel is like chalet style which you can park your car just infront of your room. Simple and clean room is excellent for us. The surrounding landscaping is a good place for us to take photo with. I will like to recommended Paragon Hometel to family that travel with own transportation. And big thank you to hotel staff who help us arrange early the time slot for our breakfast. We really loving it.

my place @ surat hotel i believe deserves recommendation. if you have to stay overnight in surat thani for whatever reasons, then i would advice to seriously think about staying in here. like others, we opted to spend 1 night in surat thani to catch a flight the next day. given what we paid for (aud $18 for 2 pax), we weren't expecting much. we chose this place because of the general positive feedback it has been given. upon arrival, the front facade of the place looks nice and clean, the staff greated us warmly with a nice welcome drinks and on their counter was a little board with our name written down to say "welcome" with our country's flag (australia)right above it. nice touch. the room we were given was big, very clean, had bottled water for free, fridge, new air-con, en-suite bathroom, free wi-fi, and t.v that had a lot of english channel/shows! after a week of watching al jazeera news (only thing in english where we were), this was exciting around the corner from the place was a night market that starts around 4 p.m. and "no. there were hardly any insects for sale". seriously, there were a number of great food to eat for sale which were cheap and you will not get sick e.g. barbecued pork, corn on the cob, pad thai, if you see the girl doing little pikelets with pandan spread inside (green looking paste) do yourself a favour and give it a try. it is delish!! the staff speaks little english but they will do their best to make sure that you are comfortable and that you don't get rip off. when you first get to surat thani e.g. if you arrive there by bus, where you get off, you will be pounced on by taxi drivers etc. trying to get you to commit into pre-booking them. don't!! just wait till you get to my place as they will tell you the different, really cheap and easy options of getting to the airport for example.

Whenever we have a conference in Surat we stay at 100 Islands, because the beds are so comfy, not your usual Thai hard bed. Breakfast is decent, but nothing amazing, ypur usual toast, Thai food, small amount of fruit, fruit juices, tea and coffee. what I missed this last time was ceral, normally they serve cereal but there was none. 1st time that myself and 2 friends went for a foot massage at their spa, considering the name of the hotel includes spa within it, you wpuld have though it would be special. it was quite cute, the 3 of us could all be in the same room together, never had a lying down foot massage before, and for 2 of us it was a leg rub and the occassional tap on the foot, so we wouldn't really recommend the spa, you could probably get a better foot massage for 300baht elsewhere. Saying all this, we will no doubt be back again next year, nothing quite like a comfy bed.

- Very good (new) hotel and cheap price. - Located in the centre of Surat Thani. - Staff were helpful and take very good care of customer. -There are a lot of parking lot. - Good view on 6th floor. Overall perfect. We are happy to stay here and we will recommend this hotel to our friend or in the future if we have opportunity to go back in Surat Thani again this hotel will be our first choice.

I really love the concept of this hostel, which is why I stayed here. It is quiet and tranquil. I loved having my own room and privacy. Yes, the location is far from things to do. If you book a tour they will pick you up. They do provide bikes but I recommend to test them as they aren't the best. They have TV but all the channels are in Thai or some other local languages, I didn't find anything in English. It was clean and the pool is nice, could use some better lounge chairs.

One of the cheapest places I found and was the best value for money without a doubt. The rooms are completely refurbished and spotless. Also very bright and airy. The location was so good for me as it was a 5 - 10 minute walk from where the bus drops you off and also from where I had to catch the bus the next morning to get to the airport. Super easy and convenient. I only stayed in Surat Thani to catch a morning flight the next day, but if I ever had to stay again then I would pick this place again for sure.

I loved my stay here. It is just so peaceful and quiet. It's a hotel with restaurant but also seems to be a market garden - the garden area is huge and the rooms have large windows that look out over it (the top floor rooms also have river views). I am a really light sleeper and very sensitive to noise, but there was absolutely nothing to disturb me. Bliss! The restaurant area is lovely, although the restaurant doesn't have any western food (or even western style Thai food...like pad Thai or red curry). It does have an American-style breakfast though. The food was really good though, and quite cheap. I have a couple of complaints -- I organized a pick-up at the bus station but the staff hardly speak any english, so even though I facebooked them twice (and they said the pickup was OK) it seems they didn't really understand what I was asking. The hotel is located about 4kms south of the bus station and Lomprayah office. It's also on the same side of Surat Thani as the airport. But, most taxi drivers I dealt with didn't know the hotel, so it was very handy to have the hotel's number on my phone so the taxi driver could just ring them for directions. With taxi meter is should cost about 40 baht to the bus station, around 70 - 100 to central Surat Thani, and around 200 to the airport. Overall I absolutely recommend this place, I would really like to go back. Also, they play music in the restaurant that is sometimes really loud (I just asked them to turn it down, since I was eating by myself most of the time).
