Find hotels in Thong Sala Pier

My wife and I stayed 4 nights here. We had come from 7 days on Thong Nai Pan Yai and when we hit Thong Sala we were really missing Yai beach. Once we settled into Phangan Island View Hotel we were pleased with our choice of hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area while not a beach is still a quiet and nice place to sun then cool off with a quick dip to drop your overheated temperature. The breakfast choices are all good and the quality of food is excellent also. Our room was very clean. The only negative was that just a few meters outside the hotel is a loud street and busy Thong Sala. For many the location would be great but for my wife and I we found Thong Sala a bit loud, busy and full are fast driven motorbikes. We enjoy more remote quiet settings but we needed to be in Thong Sala for these days before moving on. The hotel setting back off the road meant is was more quiet. You could hear street noise but more as background. The positives of the hotel made it great.

This was the best hotel I stayed at in Thong Sala. 10 min from the pier on foot, easy to find thanks to the directions they sent with my confirmation. Good location, central but not quite in the rowdy backpacker district. And the place is gorgeous for what you pay (690 on a good day). The building has terraces and balconies like a Spanish hacienda. The foyer has all the glass and marble and potted plants you'd expect of a much fancier place. (The foyer also had the requisite prostitute, but she looked like a fairly quiet and kindly one.) The desk staff was a couple of motherly ladies who immediately took on an aunty roles for me, calling me a nickname and checking in on me whenever I came in at night. The room is good, too - very clean, nice bland decorations, big TV, fridge, free water bottles. My room had windows on two sides and a small balcony. The aircon and wifi worked great. Only problem I could find were slightly dated bathroom fixtures.

We stay in First and Frang for arround 2 weeks.. Its a good Hotel just in the middle of the center of Koh Phangan (Haad Salad).. But i recommend to rent a motorbike if you wanna travel arround.. Otherwise for walk from the Pier i guess its arround 15minutes at least.. Very lovely rooms.. Stuff is good aswell just the girl on the reception looks like annoying and was not that friendly.. But only one of them.. The rest is friendly and smiles all the time 👍🏼 its a little bit like a home.. You can use the Kitchen and cook your own stuff (after you have to clean for sure by yourself) there is free water and you can also drink free tea or coffe as much as you want.. (we went searching shells and made them by ourself ) otherwise there is a daily Market in the center which sells everythint from seafood until sticky rice for less money too.. For clean room you have to give the key to reception but sometimes it took quite long.. But for us it wasnt any problem to wait until they make your room.. So the price is really cheap per Night arround 600 baht and you get a lot for that... Definitly a good place if you dont have the money for a high So Resort.. Pick up service from and to the Pier is 50 baht each Person 👍🏼

Booked here originally for 3 nights and ended up staying 6. The hotel is located in a quite area of thong sala but only a short 5 min walk to the heart of it. The rooms are very clean and air con works brilliant. The pool also was good and it had a bar aswell. The staff were excellent on my stay as l actually injured my foot one evening and the staff made sure l was ok and got me any medical stuff l needed.

We had a great stay here! The staff was friendly: always smiling, greeting us at check-in with free pineapple juice, and even upgrading our room! The pool was refreshing, the wifi was strong, and the restaurant was good (if priced a bit high). The room was nice too: it had AC, a mini-fridge, modern furnishings, and a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom was a bit small, but we didn't mind at all. There was also free water and coffee, and they tried to keep smokers outside. We liked the hotel's location, as it was near delicious local restaurants, and Thong Sala town; with our moto, we were able to easily get around the whole island from this central location. We would stay here again!

Angkana Bungalows is located just 15 minutes walking from the pier and from Thong Sala, where the night market is. Nevertheless, you feel like you are isolated from all the busy roads and noises. The beach is not so good to swim but the scenery is fabulous! The staff is super helpful and they will try their best to make your stay very comfortable. We booked for two nights and wanted to extend our stay but it was not possible... all the rooms were taken because of the Full Moon party. Mattias and Marion caves great tips to explore the island and find a new place to stay for a few more nights.

We spent two days at Tropicana Resort, and we really enjoyed our stay. We got an ocean view bungalow which had a huge fan over our bed, and also an air-conditioner, but actulally most of the time the fan was more than enough. The sea was literally 10 meters away from our doorstep, we could hear the waves from our room at night. There is also a hammock on the terrace in which I really enjoyed reading right next to the ocean. You can rent a scooter too from the owner, he offered us a deal for two days, and the scooter was in great condition. He also was very helpful recommending great places to eat, and helped us with any questions we had. If you are looking for a relaxing time to spend on Koh Phangan or a great location close to the Pier and the night market from where you can easily explore the rest of the island, then I highly recommend you to try Tropicana Resort, and go for the ocean/beach view bungalows.

Hostel is a bit overpriced. When we arrived, room was dirty but they fixed it immediately when we told about it. Ac works fine, wifi is okay, there are good places to eat next to the hostel even though it is pretty far from shopping places and so. It takes 100 baht per person to get Haad rin or Thong sala by taxi. Room was basic but nice, hot shower was good. Staff was very nice and helpfull.

We stayed here for the full moon party and it is located in Bantaii. This hotel was really close to the Bantaii centre and close to the shops and the pier. The rooms itself was pretty big and it accommodated all of us and it fit us all okay for the full moon party. Easy to find and all the tuk tuks know of the place. The service was okay and the staff was quite helpful with tours and transport.
