"Pros: Easily accessible by Ferry from Tiga Rasa, just say where you're staying and they'll drop you there. Batak dances are held you twice a week, Saturday is you're visiting on weekends. Beautiful sunrise view by their own pier. Garden well maintained, Rooms are commendable. Staffs have a good understanding of English too , easy for travellers not familiar with local language. The pool table provided was a delight to pass some time. Free parking provided too."

"Cleanliness was bearable but there was a pile of hair and some trash in the drawer when I opened it up. Overall, it was okay for me because the view outside my room was amazing and that was sufficient to compensate for the flaws. Hot shower is available at all times which was really great! I went there in November and was told that it is the low season. If it is low season, you can get really cheap stay in other guesthouses as well especially if you book a day or two before the trip. Hope this helps! <3 HORAS!"

"On the Tuktuk peninsula on Samosir Island, within easy walking distance of the ferry docking point. A new, small hotel with friendly, but unobtrusive, owner. A small but varied dinner menu; meals were individually prepared and of good quality. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and breakfast time was flexible to suit individual guests - a choice of American, Continental or Indonesian breakfast menus. Shops and other restaurants/cafes within easy reach. Overall a very pleasant place to spend a few days."

"The venue is located very close to the ferry drop-off. There is not elevator, so you may have to climb 4 storeys to take your breakfast or go to the swimming pool and back, but if you know it, it is ok. The view is nice, the staff is quite dedicated. The breakfast is decent (the waffles are great). The swimming pool is clean and good. The surrounding hotels are a bit noisy at night, so you need to bring earplugs. We went for Chinese New Year, so I guess the prices where a bit up, and quite pricey for Indonesia. But there is not much choice around Tuktuk anyway. You can walk to surrounding restaurants that are nice. The hotel will arrange motorbike rental, etc. I think it is equivalent to 2 stars in Singapore, so you would expect a lower price, but the supply of rooms is limited in Tuktuk. But the lake is so good that you don't go there for the hotel anyway. "
