We actually booked to stay longer and it was actually the staff who suggested that we re-book the room through Agoda so as to get the best rate as they were unable to match the price. The rooms here are pretty cheap anyway but we did as suggested and kept the same rooms (2) as my mother was also along for the trip. In reception they do have a sign that mentions the "cultural music" but it doesn't tell you that you will have a very early wake up call at an astounding volume because of it. It is the morning call to prayer and it is very likely to jolt you awake! However, it does mean that you can get up early to enjoy the mornings if you so desire or obviously you can just roll over and go back to sleep. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the room clean, it does need some extra hanging space for clothing particularly for people wishing to stay longer than a night. The breakfast is very much a local treat but you can have toast and coffee, I opted for the local food as it's my preferred dining anyway. The pool is phenominal but it's a bit disturbing to be swimming past peoples rooms and see them watching you. The outdoor area is great and looks over the beach. I have seen reviews about how dirty the beach is but I saw the staff out cleaning the area which was great. I think people need to remember that it is Indonesia and cleanliness is not always at the forefront of peoples minds there.......of course as a tourist you can always help out in keeping things clean. We loved our time at Pop! and would certainly return if we could get the same rooms overlooking the ocean.

it was the best place to stay in Bali. we are group of 4 people who travelled for two weeks around Bali and we stayed there for only two nights. however, we all can strongly stay that this was the best place we stayed. it really gave us a feel like we lived with Balinese people, we learned about their culture, tried amazing home cooked meal for breakfast, lunch and diner. the food was trully incredible. we wished we could staed there longer. we dedinately coming back there and we feel like we made lifetime friends by staying there. you must stay there and experience yourself a trully amazing feeling as what feels like living with local people.

Almost everything about this hotel is excellent - location, facilities and activities. But one thing stands out particularly - the staff. If you had any requirement or wish, they will help you immediately and with smile. I cannot recommend enough this place for travellers who are looking for a getaway from crowds and stress - BBC is The Place to do that. We are looking forward to visit BBC again! P. S. If you are looking to experience local livelihood and tradition (the real Bali, not the touristic one) look for Potok - he is hanging out the beach typically and will take you around Bondalem with his motorbike for a small fee (it's up to you). In other words - our family loved staying here.

What an excellent find this little hotel was. The staff were very welcoming and the room was very clean and comfortable. The AC was working very well and the shower was quite honestly the best shower we’ve had in Bali, warm and awesome water flow. Breakfast was included and it to was awesome. Everything about this place just rocked and we highly recommend anyone who wants comfort at a very affordable price to stay here, you won’t be disappointed.

This was the last stop in my stay. I must say the place was awesome. If you ever stay here you must go trekking with BOB. That is the best thing about the place. Also location will make you stay with the mother nature and enjoy nature. I travelled around bali, but this was the place that I was looking In my vacation. Awesome place filled with awesome people. Must say, enjoyed the free lunch that they offered after the trekking

This is a budget hotel, so the price is low but facilities are limited. My room is non-AC, has a wall fan, a small TV (only Indonesian channels) and a tiny bathroom. The room is very basic, with no blankets, no towels, no wardrobe, no hot water, and no trash-bin. (The weather is hot, so you don't need blankets or hot water. Just bring your own towel, a plastic bag for your trash, and insect repellent to keep the mosquitoes away.) The lack of facilities are compensated by the friendliness of the staffs, free wifi (available in the lobby but not in the rooms), free sheltered parking for my motorbike, and free breakfast (tea/coffee and a plate of fried rice). I also like the location - right in the town centre and close to the market (Pasar Anyar). There are 3 cheap restaurants at the square at 25 Jalan Ahmad Yani (a 5 min walk from the hotel)

Worth the 2 hour taxi drive to get to this hotel. This was our best bit of Bali. Very disappointed with other parts of Bali, but this place is stunning. Not a great of other things to do in this valley, but for a total relax this hotel is a must.👍 there is another restaurant within 5 min walk ,and a small shop. Arrived here with cards but not a lot of cash . So please note !hotel will only exchange dollars, so had to get locals to take us to cashpoint in town 20 min away. Very very nice place to stay. If in Bali , go here 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

I knew what I was getting when I looked at the map and at the price. Grand Wijaya Hotel is a very basic hotel that serves its purpose. The staff was very friendly, but none of them speak English, except for very basic question and answer ("Where is toilet?" "Where is breakfast?" etc.). The hotel itself was a little noisy in the morning, road noise all day, and some other noise (a mosque perhaps?) starting early in the morning. The room itself was nice enough, but it is one of the Indonesian style hotels where you do not receive two sheets, and it is not clear if the blanket is laundered or not. It seemed clean, but I would rather have a sheet and mattress cover. The area around the hotel is nothing special, some very local restaurants that foreigners may not be comfortable at, and some banks. The Singaraja Beach was a very long walk (20+ min.), but was definitely the nicest thing in the town. BEST POINT: Perama Bus company southbound service (to Ubud/Kuta) will stop at the hotel directly and pick you up.

The Gaia Oasis is a wonderfully quiet hotel focused on relaxation & meditation. If you are looking for a relaaxing out of the way location - then look no further. It is a small walk to the local traditional village - not a souvenir in sight! The room we stayed in was amazing - large room, four poster bed and a huge balcony from which we could see the ocean and the sun rise. I loved our hammock on the balcony! The outdoor bathroom was divine. The gardens are immaculate, the pool very clean and the staff & service excellent. Complimentary tea, coffee, water etc are available all day and a lovely afternoon tea is included. Breakfast and dinner are served as a small buffet - lovely tasty food. Not a great deal to see locally without hiring transport but plenty of tours are available. We hired motorbikes and got around easily. Probably not a place for children and definitley not the place if you are looking for nightlife! We loved our stay there. Our transfer to Amed was expensive - otherwise we thought our stay was good value. i would definitely recommend this hotel
