Hotels near War Remnants Museum

Not the newest, most refined 5 star you can find in HCMC, but for group stays or large families, this place is great. It's not far at all from the Reunification Palace and the War Remnants museum. In terms of service, they were most helpful and attentive. I had the misfortune of losing my wallet on my inbound flight, they made contact with the airline and followed up with them on status. Even after I checked out, they followed up. I've only known this kind of service from the top brand and exclusive boutique hotels. I commend them for this. Great local breakfast.... try the Pho Be sure to take the offered guided tour to get the most from your stay.

Excellent hotel - actually one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and I regularly make business trips on a monthly basis. Stayed in a twin room which was modern with a tasteful design, clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. All the hotel staff were extremely helpful and they all did a wonderful job in making you feel welcomed and always went above and beyond. They would always hold the door for you and they proactively provided assistance whilst I was waiting for an organised tour one morning by helping me to find out when the tour bus would actually arrive. The only real downside to this hotel and it unfortunately is out the hotel's control is there is a night club nearby and you can actually hear the booming sound at night - it didn't trouble me too much as I stayed at a room on a high floor. Other than that, it is also very close to a lot of attractions - within 15 minutes walk to the Central Post Office, the Independence Palace and the War Remnants Museum.

This was our first visit to Ho Chi Minh City to visit our son and meet his wife's family. We were looking for a hotel with good quality at a decent price and the Aristo Hotel fit the bill. It's not a five star, more like a 3.5 star hotel but the staff added value. They were attentive to all of our needs. Most of the staff that we interacted with understood and spoke English well and they responded quickly to our requests. The breakfast buffet had a decent variety with some different options each day (we were there for a week), including an omelet station. We used the coupons we received at check-in for the onsite spa and went for the full body and foot massage package. There is only one changing area shared by men and women. This is something they should address as the only option for privacy in the changing area were the two shower stalls with frosted glass. The massages themselves were wonderful and a great way to relax after our full day tour of the Mekong River which we were able to book at the reception desk. One other note. Any time we went down to the lobby, the doorman would ask if we needed a taxi. When we did, a taxi was at the door within two minutes. There was plenty to see within walking distance. The Independence Palace (or Reunification Palace, depending on where you are from) is only three blocks away, the War Remnants Museum is two blocks away and Notre Dame Cathedral and the Post Office is about a half mile away. If you are looking for a quiet room, this may not be your hotel. It's not overly loud but you will hear the traffic in the morning and you are likely to hear a PA announcement from a nearby center occasionally. On balance, when factoring in the staff, location and the spa, I would say we made the right choice. I would not hesitate to book another stay at the Aristo Hotel.

Everything about this hotel is 5-star or first class. The hotel is newly built and very fresh and the decoration of this hotel is truly lovely from the lobby to roof top lounge area. The breakfast buffet is to die for and one of the best ones we have ever had. The staff is very service minded and well trained and rooms are clean and have all that you need and really comfortably beds especially considered been in Vietnam. During our stay the where some mistakes ordering at the pool bar and breakfast but it is understandable since this place is new and it takes some time to make everything nice and smooth. We could highly recommend this place and if we are back in Ho Chi Minh City we would definitely stay here again.

Finally I found the hotel I should revisit and stay again in next visit to HCMC. I have been visiting to HCMC for almost a year and now I found the best hotel. Start from friendly staffs to until the cleanness of the hotel, this kind of best of the best hotel you will never be found in HCMC. Price also reasonable when you compare with other 4 stars hotels and the great thing is you will get superb services. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Have a great value of money!It's close to airport,only takes 20minutes to get there.There is not many entertainments surrounding.The breakfast is just so-so,only a few kinds of food.But it's ok,the room is clean.The spa is so cheap,but must give some tips,it's also cheaper than any other 3,4,5 star hotel.I like Thailand spa,very strong but especially comfortable.I have stayed here for four days,i enjoyed my stay.

for the reduced price offered on Agoda (about 1/2 of what they asked for at the front desk) it was a nice reprieve from simpler accommodation for my family. the pool was a real treat - i was even able to do 20 minutes of laps. :) also lots of lounge chairs around the pool - and in the sun! family took 2 rooms so was able to spread out and feel a little pampered. the breakfast had wonderful coffee but lacked in overall buffet allure - good Pho, good omelettes, but unless rice congee appeals to you, you'll grab some noodles and bok choy or a baguette with butter and jam. i.e. we ate 2 breakfasts there and it worked but nobody was thrilled with the buffet. last note, a positive one, front desk staff were very helpful and Victory Hotel Saigon is 2 blocks away from the War Remnants museum which is very informative while heavily bent against the American involvement in the 2nd Indochina War without explaining why top generals made decisions to use "excessive" force. but i'll save that all for a review of the museum! good luck to you on your journey!!

Staffs are helpful, friendly, excellent service. Staff spoke English very well. The hotel is new and very nice inside and out. The location of the hotel is convenient within walking distance from the War Remnants Museum and Ben Thanh market. The rooms are nice decorate, clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast buffet is well organized and many selection to choose. One minor thing was that it took a long time to check out even there wasn’t any guest check in or check out at the time. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was clean and quite charming. My sister and I had a twin room with a small balcony that overlooked the busy streets. We really appreciated the clean shower and bathroom. Breakfast was good, and it's very convenient to eat in the lobby restaurant if you don't feel like walking anywhere. The fruit juices are so refreshing. The staff were all very attentive and friendly. The only downside was that there was a power outage on the block, and we couldn't get to our rooms (electronic cards), so we waited in the lobby for over an hour, but the staff were very patient and kind and served us tea to try and accommodate us. Overall, a really great value for your money and really enjoyed the spaciousness and cleanliness of the room. It's not extremely close to the city central, but we had no problem getting Grab bikes and cars for about ten minute trips to Ben Thanh, restaurants, and museums. Thanks for a lovely stay! :)

Hong Hac Boutique Hotel Saigon is a cozy place. It was difficult to find when we first arrived since the signage is not very clear. The location is perfect - very close to most of the tourist attractions (War Remnant Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral and Ben Thanh Market). A lot of shops and restaurants in the area. The room is small but clean and comfy. Super love the breakfast, two thumbs up! The staff were extremely helpful. They helped organize a quick tour and looked up how to take transport to certain sights for us. I would recommend this hotel for great value for money and location. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and will definitely go back again when we visit Saigon next time.

The nicest hotel we have stayed in on our travles. The modern decor is so refreshing and you are unlikely to get this anywhere else. You will probably pay a lot more for a 'fraying round the edges' large chateau style hotel which all seem to loose their edge and sparkle very quickly. Great location; the war remnants museum and the reunification palace are both a short walk away (5 and 10 mins respectively). Breakfast is okay. Staff are super freindly and accomodating. The spa and massage looked good and were quite cheap, but did not get time to check them out unfourtunately. The hotel definately packs a punch above its weight, and is way better than a 3 star hotel. You can use the pool at the Victory hotel (couple of mins waly) for 40 thousand dong.

The War Remnants museum and Nothre Dame Cathedral are withing walking distanse. Walk to the Turtle Lake -statue. There is nice cafees. Market is also withing walking distance. You can go jogging at the park opposite in the mornings. At the hotel there was only one minus.Someboby at the sraff visited in my room when I was away. Everything was ok but I don't like that. Only cleaning is ok. Of course they have the rightness to go there. I liked the breakfast at the roof floor an they gave everbody one litre complementary water every saturday. Nice hotel.

I think District 3 is an area not most travelers would reach out to but has advantages over the hustle and bustle of District 1. Great restaurants(right next door is an amazing restaurant), bars, walking distance to Reunification Palace/War Museum, $2US taxi to anywhere in center Saigon. We found it a great place to come back to and re-group. We would stay again!

we were surprised that the hotel was situated in a back alley. but after a short walk past a few local homes, we found ma maison and stepping into ma maison was like stepping into the home of a close friend as we were warmly greeted by natasha - the owner of the hotel. we were ushered into the cafe-reception area of this quaint little hotel-home, where we were served with fresh, icy cold passionfruit juice while checking-in. natasha promptly settled our check-in and planned a day tour for us around hcm city since we were only there for a day. it is so rare to be greeted with such hospitality these days. our room was absolutely lovely and so clean you've got to book a stay here to see it for yourself. we stayed in the deluxe room and it definitely provided me with a restful, peaceful night's sleep away from the bustle of hcm city. one thing to note though, there are no elevators in this little hotel so be prepared to climb 4 floors up to the deluxe room. but the room is worth every bit of energy you put into climbing those stairs. make sure you start your day with the breakfast they serve at the cafe. there's a choice of vietnamese or european breakfast. we had the vietnamese breakfast and both the noodles (can't remember the exact names of the noodles but the seafood noodle was a saigon dish and the beef noodle was a central vietnam dish as we were told by natasha's uncle) we had were the best we had in vietnam so far. the additional baguette we were kindly offered had a thin n crispy skin and light and fluffy on the inside. yum!

This hotel is located across from a large park where they have the water puppet theater. It is also a short walk to the War Remnants Museum. It is surrounded by an assortment of eateries. The staff are all proficient in English which makes things easier. There is a small but adequate restaurant that provides the breakfast. If you are into it there is a massage shop and a karaoke club. The rooms are okay and the beds sleepable. The bath is deep so step carefully when going to take your shower. If you are on a budget this would be a great choice. It reminds me of places I stayed when on temporary duty in the military and also when visiting other universities.

Big hotel with a lot of privacy. Stayed at level 2 in the suite room. There is a kitchen area with all the plates and utensils that you can use too. Clean and cosy, water in the bathroom was also really strong and nice. Bathroom clean, bed very comfortable! Although we can still hear some sound from the road outside, it is still acceptable to us. No problem sleeping at all. Staff were really helpful and nice, and the security guard was always so sweet and helpful too. Gives a feeling that they are all so down to earth and want to give their best. Location is not bad, and there is a push cArt store selling. Banh mi (French loaf sandwich) and fried noodles. Also v delicious and clean. 4storey highland coffee is just opposite the hotel, nice place to chill and have nice coffee and cake. Would definitely come back to this hotel! Grab transport in Vietnam is really simple and affordable! Weather was hot so we took grab everywhere.

Nice new contemporary-styled hotel with spacious rooms. Located within walking distance (or covered by the minimum cab fare of VND 25k) to the popular city attractions such as the Central Post Office, Nortre Dame Cathedral, War Remnants Museum, Reunification Palace etc. In the immediate vicinity of the hotel, you can find a KFC, a Sharetea outlet, a circle-K convenience store, a nice garden cafe and a local restaurant. You can also find a very good Korean style family spa just opposite the road. Friendly front desk staff, efficient lift service, no problem for any cab driver to locate this hotel just need to show them the hotel name card. If one must pick bones out of the eggshell, the breakfast could use a couple more choices, and the hotel does not provide in-room dinning service hence the reason why some of the alternatives were listed above in case you need to have a bite after the in-house cafe closes at 9pm.

This hotel is new, so the rooms are clean and well furbished. I booked two nights here and extended another night through the hotel, and they kindly gave me a lower rate from Agoda for Deluxe room. The staffs are friendly, they tried their best to help even with their limited English. When I asked them directions to Soc Trang, they helped me look for a coach that goes there and offered to book a hotel for me if I needed one. Location of hotel is in district 3, but Ben Tanh market and the luxe Dong Khoi street are easily acessible by taxi. The best thing about this hotel was the service I got and it was one of the best I've come across for a hotel like this.

Got off the Mekong Express bus from Phnom Penh in District 1. Taxi tout wanted US$15 for the trip to Le Blanc. Mugged him off and found a meter taxi that cost US$2. Check-in at the hotel is efficient. Staff are extremely helpful. The room was of a decent size, clean, with fresh towels, sheets, etc. There's air-con (efficient and quiet), a fan, fridge, drinking water (2 small bottles that are replenished daily), and a TV with several Western channels. There is a choice of breakfast, a Western option with eggs and sausage, plus toast, or Vietnamese. The broken rice Vietnamese dish was particularly good IMO. Laundry was a reasonable price, but if you're willing to chuck it in the machine yourself, and hang it out, etc, then the service is free. District 1 and the action is a walk away if you can brave the Saigon traffic as a pedestrian, as are the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace; otherwise it's a couple of bucks in a taxi. Always insist on the meter. All-in-all, Le Blanc would be our choice next time we're in Saigon.

If you are ready to get away from the District 1 tourist scene this is an excellent choice in a moderate range hotel. Lots of local restaurants for the locals. You need to be a little more resourceful to get by here, but it's well worth the challenge to be immersed in a true Vietnamese neighbourhood. The tourist areas of District 1 are only a 50,000 vnd taxi ride away. War Remanents museum is only a few blocks, Reunification palace about 1/2 km. The main desk person speaks and understands English very well and she is most helpful to make your stay comfortable.

we were given our rooms very fast, we were not charged for an early check in as we arrived at around 1am, the hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating, they would go the extra mile to help us. the hotel was near a market so we were able to buy fruits at a much lower price, there was also a coop food mart near the hotel so were able to buy toiletries and food for a lower price also. there was a police station near the hotel so we felt safe. there was a church nearby and local restaurants, kfc, and dominos nearby also.

Pushed back in a small hem, (alley way) not scary at all! this posh hotel is everything I needed for a quiet rest. You don’t hear the noise from the hundreds of motorbike. Yet it’s just about 50 ft from the Main Street, “Cao Thang” the room is small yet posh and cozy. No restaurant, no bellman ... nothing fancy yet it felt like a place you want to come back to after a full day of touristing. Would be staying here again whenever I come back to this part of Vietnam.
