Really love this hotel! It is close to everything you need -shopping food transport. I travelled with my husband and 5yo child, older parents. Since we travelled with older person we need to stay in a hotel that close to everything- restaurant food court convenience stores especially the shopping place. We didnt pay for the breakfast since there are many restaurants and food courts open starts from 8.30 am. You can go to takasimaya food court, wisma atria food court, Toast Box in wisma atria and one just accrossed the Mt Elizabeth Hospital (behind the Paragon Mall). For malayu and indonesian who always starving for Padangs food you need to go Orchard central there is Garuda Padang Food there. Many convenience stores such as seven eleven close to the hotel. Close to public transport Bus just acrossed the hotel. ORCHARD MRT Stat is in Wisma Atria Plaza (at the left) also Somerset MRT Stat is in Orchard Central Plaza (at the right). The best hotel for you who need to be closed to everything that you needs!

Hotel is very accessible to the MRT and shopping malls. Hotel in general is very clean and the smell of the lobby is so nice. You get to self check in and out if the front desk is busy. Room is very very clean and modern. We stayed for 4 nights and every day they clean our room unlike other hotels. My fiance and I got the room with a nice view. The hallways are has a futuristic feels, it's almost like you're in a spaceship. I have very high standards when it comes to hotels, and this one passed. You get to really relax after a long tiring tour of the city. Overall we loved the hotel and the staff. Will definitely check in again and recommend.

Very Good, easy check in and check out, fast internet, easy to login, breakfast was good, eventough targetted for businessman, they are child friendly staff. Newly renovated room, cleanliness was superb, nice design for hotel bathroom. The best part of this hotel is located at central of Orchard shopping place. in front of Paragon, walking distance to 313 Somerset, Takasimaya Ngee Ann City, Wisma Atria and Tang Plaza. Also 5 minutes walking to nearest MRT Station, either Somerset Station or Orchard Station.

Marvellous service from the friendly staff. Most impressed with courteous, knowledgeable and smiling (especially Netty - if I remember correctly!) staff at reception. A short 8 minutes walk will bring you to Orchard Road and you can have your fill at the various food courts around. Check out the variety of food available at Paragon, Lucky Plaza, ION, Wisma Atria, etc. You are really spoilt for choice. My preference is the food hall (level 4 ) at Wisma Atria. The MRT station is located less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel and is very useful for those like me, who want to get around Singapore on the efficient public transport system. Bit sad though, that the hotel has payable internet services at this day and age.

I came for an important exam and was staying in this hotel due to the perfect location (3mins walking distance to exam venue), at first I was hesitate to book this hotel because of the picture of the hotel building looks abit old, BUT surprisingly the interior is so NEW, CLEAN and WELL maintained! According to the receptionist from lobby, this hotel had just done renovation and that’s why the interior so clean and new. I stayed at the 10th floor and the room was so cozy and well equipped with everything, even with a modern tech water dispenser! The cleaner is so friendly and she help me tidy every single corner. The price is affordable with such good location (1min walking to lotsa of shopping malls in orchard road) and friendly service. Totally worth it! Will sure come back again when come to Singapore and will sure recommend to my friends!

As a family of three (two adults and one 7 year old) we wanted a hotel of quality at a reasonable price in a convenient location. We found all that and more at the Concorde Hotel Singapore – perfect for our quick Singapore business+leisure trip. Located at the "lower" end of Orchard Road, the hotel is spacious and fashionably renovated. Large open atrium lobby (with internal glass lifts) gives spacious feel. The service was exemplary from check-in/out; the concierge desk was efficient and friendly, and the Premier Lounge staff were great. Pay the extra few $$ and book a Premier Room – you'll get access to the Premier Lounge – breakfast, all day coffee/tea/snacks, evening drinks, speedy check-in/out and the Premier Rooms are more top floor, spacious and beautifully decorated. Despite no "view", the location makes up for it. Located above a shopping mall (everything from shoes to a food-hall/hawkers stands), the Concorde is an easy one block walk to Dhouby Ghaut MRT station, with taxis at the front door. Five mins walk up Orchard Rd and you're in the thick of shopping & fod heaven – from typical hawkers stands to 5 star gourmet dining. The Tour Desk in the lobby is linked to one of the large local travel companies - the staff are helpful and efficient and you can buy tickets to attractions (e.g. Singapore Zoo, Universal Studios etc) cheaper than at the destinations themselves. The free Universal Studios shuttle bus stops at the hotel on the half hour, and the Singapore Attractions Express Bus will cost you only $S5 (adult) each way to the zoo ... sure beats the cab fare. The hotel's restaurant is first class (and very reasonably priced) - popular with local diners as well as hotel guests. All in all - a great Singapore hotel option!!

i have been going in & out of singapore for many years and this was the 1st time we stayed at royal plaza. i was thoroughly impressed from the minute i set foot on the main lobby all the way till check-out. the lobby was filled with a soothing vanilla fragrance. staff was not only friendly but was extra attentive and helpful. rooms were clean, adequately spacious and i don't think any other hotel offers free wired and wireless internet access. our room also came with a free minibar. the location of the hotel is the best amongst the hotels i stayed in around the orchard rd. area as it is close to the more interesting shopping places like the ion orchard, wheelock place, isetan, wisma atria, mandarin gallery, takashimaya, and the underground shopping arcades. most of these malls have food courts that serve a variety of asian and western cuisine at very reasonable prices. another plus is its close proximity to the mrt and bus stations as well as the far east plaza where there is a money exchange outlet with one of the best exchange rates for us dollars or philippine pesos. there is also a 24-hour starbucks, a kfc, and mcdonald's outlet nearby. one last thing, we noticed the numerous awards the hotel received over the years displayed at the lobby. we now know for a fact that each one of those awards were truly well-deserved!

This is a stylish and historic five star hotel near the heart of Singapore, the Orchard road. The Orchard MRT station is within 5 ~ 7 minutes walk, and there are many shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants, and everything you might need around you. So, the location is very good. We stayed at the Parklane split-level studio. It's in a different building, and looks a bit more dated than the main hotel block. But it provides very spacious room - enough for 4 people or even more, it you're willing to pay for the extra bed. The split level studio is well equipped with kitchen and even washing machine, which is very helpful in the hot and humid weather of Singapore. The bathroom is also very clean and spacious. Some weaknesses are there, too. The building and the room itself are a bit dated. It needs renovation, but still, it is very well equipped, and it doesn't look cheesy. The room doesn't have a good view, either. We're on level 4, but I think other rooms will be the same. So, don't expect too much about its view. The staff are very nice and helpful. I'd give five stars to them. The pools are nice, too. Don't forget to bring swimwear with you. You won't be disappointed. Overall, it was very satisfactory, and I'd love to stay there again if I travel to Singapore with my family in the future.

We stayed for 3 nights here. The location is very nice. Its 5mins walk from Dhoby Ghaut MRT station near Plaza Singapora. It has 7-11 shops available near by so u can get your break fast/snack anytime while on your way out or back to hotel. It has a neat swimming pool on roof top accessible by lift 1 only with an outstanding view of the vicinity. Recommend a panoramic photo from there. Hotel has two entrances, the other one opens towards the main Orchard Road, where you can find a number of malls like Orchard Point, Orchard Central, Ngee Ann city center, 313 Somerset, Apple Store. This road has multiple bus stops. Get yourself a 3-days Singapore Tourist Pass for unlimited trips to MRT & Public busses. Both have a/c so thats a relieve in 35C temp during the day. The hotel has a Tour Desk where as i suggest using Klook app to book at activities ranging from Universal Studio, Sentosa fun pass, Zoo, Night Safari, Gardens by the bay, bird sanctuary etc. This way you will not need to stand in ticket lines. Just book and show the online receipt to the gate keepers who will let you in :) do visit asian museum on Raffles stop, Fullerton road for Merlion. Good quality shopping is available at Bugis Junction (Bugis stop via MRT and exit towards Bugis Junction). Do not goto Little India, its very dirty and a mall there with the name of Al Mustafa Center (although cheap) but has terrible / poor quality products. You will be disappointed. Visit East Coast bay near Marina bays for a quite beach spot. Good for camping. On your way out to Airport, book a taxi via Grab Ap and it will cost you a max of $17 SGD till terminal 4 airport. Upon arrival, get a $15 SGD sim from Klook app It will give you 100GB worth 4G internet And free calls to last you easily 8-10 days even. Pick up point at Cheers store on level 2. Use mini bus to reach your hotel. It will cost you $SGD 9 per person with a travel time of 25-30mins. Booking stand is location at last level. They charge credit card and d

Some of the Staff are really polite, greets you and help you with your baggages and secure a lift for you. But when I asked for extra amenities like shampoo and shower, I waited 2 hours till I had to check out, none of it was delivered over. No free parking but the carpark price is reasonable. It's like after you check in, it's none of their business. I am really shocked that a 5 star house keeping service can be this bad, even a 3 star hotel can do better than this. But for a fair opinion, the room was really spacious and comfortable like a apartment for the price of a room in other 5 star hotel. The place is not exactly sound proof and you can hear the kids playing happily at the pool from 8th floor. The location is really good and in the middle of orchard MRT and somerset MRT, you can access to paragon, takashimaya, somerset 313 easily. Wisma Atria and Ion Orchard are within walking distance as well.

Pros: Food was halal be it at Straits Kitchen or room service. Room was well maintained but look quite old and need to be revamped. Location is the best to access most of the shopping malls. My kids loves the hotel stay and food at Straits Kitchen. Cons: Waited quite long for prayer mat and clothes and then they said do not have enough due to VIPs taken all of it. Should stock up more next time.

this hotel is located exactly at orchard road, and you just need to walk 5-8 minutes to the nearest mrt station (orchard station), cinema (shaw house), and famous & popular shopping malls (ion orchard, takashimaya, tangs, ngee ann city, wisma atria, lucky plaza). across the hotel (at the corner), you can find convenient store (7 eleven), money changer, and foodcourt (under 7 eleven). the minus points are: 1. hotel looks a bit old, as it needs to be refurbished. 2. long waiting at reception desk during checking-in & checking-out. 3. the room was not ready when i came after 12 noon, eventhough i had mentioned my early arrival when i booked the hotel through agoda. i had to wait for 1-1.5 hours to get my room ready. 4. the concierge staffs were not able to manage their storeroom well, as they was not able to find my luggages. i even had to come in their storeroom to help finding my own luggages. there might be a possibility someone would take the wrong luggages or take someone else's luggages.

Our first time staying here and we love the location. Its quiet and nice with friendly service. Just happen that we have a big balcony that you rarely find in most hotels. The internet service is free and very fast we we will recommend to anyone who like a quiet holiday. The room is clean and big also it just 10 min walk to Orchard road where all the shopping mall and food hall are located. If you don't like walking there is no problem of getting a taxi.

We stayed here for 3nights and it’s astonishingly beautiful. From warm welcome and assistance of Shamus (not sure bout the spelling of his name,cos they don’t have a nameplate on) and detailed welcoming assistance of Sharifa when we had our check in. We also encounter Vivian at the restaurant when we had our everyday breakfast and she’s very accommodating and friendly. The food was better when you go there earlier it has more selections. Transportation was convenient the bus stop is just infront of the hotel and the mrt is just 2 bus stop away. It is also near to orchard shopping malls just 2 bus stop away also. Highly recommend to. Sure we will be back.

We booked our stay at Shangri-la Apartments with some doubts that it will be somewhat outdated and old. From what we read in the reviews it was a clear mixed of messages whether this place is a good place to stay at. We are a family with 4 adults and 3 little kids staying at their 3 BR apartment. When we checked in, it was clear we were happy we decided to book Shangri La apartments. the space and the full kitchen facility was worth it for our kind of family setting. Please be aware that the 3rd bedroom was a single bed. but the second room with 2 single beds can be put together to make a large king! lol was fun for the kids to bunk up together. Location wise it was tranquil enough while being at a really short walk to Orchard Rd. (less than 10 minutes to the Forum shopping mall). Will definitely come back to stay.

The building is old and it doesn't stand out among its neighboring hotels, but the staff was really accommodating and friendly. They may not have the most advance amenities, but their price is makes up for it as its not it won't hurt your budget. It's location is excellent as the tourist center is very near. Subway station is just a few walks away and you can buy your singapore pass as well. Since their along Orchard road, the place is near the shops were you could buy from affordable buys and expensive stores. There are lot's of shopping malls you could easily hop in and they are really beautiful. Food and pasalabong are very accessible. The staff can speak english well though it's a given that they will have their own local accent. They are friendly and will assist you in any way they can. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience and I wan't hesitate to book here again when I come back to Singapore.

We had a good stay at Hotel fort canning. The hotel self is surrounded by a park, which makes you feel a little bit outside of everything which is good, however it is very centrally located and very close to the MRT station Dhoby Gaut, and the nice shopping mall Plaza Singapura where you can Eat a lot of nice food, although not fancy but more western fast food that they dont have in other southeast Asian countries. The staff was very proffessional and kinda stiff, but stll very friendly, they are doing their job. Although when we checked out we had to remind them that we had to get out deposit money back. Kind of an awkward situation, since the receptionist cleraly wanted to be done checking us out so we had to notify him that we would like t have our 100 sgd back. The room service food was not good, pricy, as it is in Singapore we wold think that the qualtiy of room service in a 5 star hotel would be really good, but no. Overall we had a good stay and might come back to stay there.

I have always stayed here when coming to Singapore. Singapore Marriott Hotel is the best and my most favourite hotel to stay when coming to Singapore, highly recommended especially if you are a shoppaholic. It is located exactly at the centre of the great Orchard Road which everyone knows is a shopping heaven for all shoppers. Around the hotel, there are several big shopping malls like the ION Orchard, Wisma Atria, Takashimaya, Shaw Centre, Wheelock Place, Far East Plaza, Tangs Plaza, Lucky Plaza, Paragon, and some other smaller shops scattered around the Orchard Road and all of them are only minutes of walking distance from the hotel. It is always be my first choice of hotel when coming to Singapore.

We were surprise that we have under-expected this hotel. The hotel is so clean and grand, in the room itself we feel like we are staying a 5-stars hotel. Staffs are so polite, friendly and professional. (There is 1 chinese girl who can speak english so well and fluent, impressive) Location is good as it is at the famous Orchard road. Just walk out from the hotel there are shopping malls and a lot of F&B available. We will definitely coming back to this hotel in our future visit!!!

We had a lovely four night stay. The service as always was first class. Breakfast at the line restaurant is a family favourite. Also a nice pool area for the kids, this is not always the case for inner city hotels. This hotel is not near the shopping malls or mrt station. It is maybe a ten minute walk down to Orchard road. The hotel does provide a shuttle to one of the bigger shopping malls, but we only found this out the day we left.

We booked through Agoda just 10 minutes before we walk in. Our booking was already in the system and all is ready to go. The booked room (executive) wasn't available and they instantly upgrade us to the Suite - which we love! Great size and lovely layout - very private. My husband can work in the bed room while my 2 year old run around in the living room. Great breakfast selection and lovely friendly staff! Fantastic location with all the shopping malls within walking distances. We will be back again for sure!

Overall it was an awesome experience. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and decorated, bathroom was big and cosy, bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is located really close to Orchard Road, a good 20-minutes leisurely stroll or about 2-3 bus stops away. It was not cheap, but it is worth every single cent we paid for. The brunch at Le Brezza was very good too, they have really nice and fresh seafood, best oysters we ever had. On the downside, we found the spread for the evening cocktail very limited. And I craved for ice cream and called the personal butler to find out what flavor ice creams they had, however, they couldn't tell me and I was only told 'seasonal flavors'. Nevertheless, this wouldn't stop me from going back to St.Regis again. We were very satisfied with our stay overall. Oh, not to forget, they upgraded us to a better room and arranged for late check-out without us asking for it even. Great value-added service! Two thumbs-up! Highly recommended.

We were couple traveling for business & leisure trip to Sing and Regent was our last hotel before we went back home. So we were looking for a place to rest, just close enough to orchard road to do final shopping but not so close to the bustling of the shopping malls and Regent fit the bill perfectly. We were also looking for a place which is sedate & provide good service not too mention in a walking distance to the botany garden. Regent didn't fail us a bit. I stayed at the deluxe room which was spacious (33 - 36 m2) with floor to ceiling window facing the botanic garden area. It has plenty of natural light which is nice and the amenities are solid 5 stars hotel. The only need disappointing about the room are the TV channels which consist mostly of sports, news & variety of local channels from various country. Ok if you stay for short term and wont spend much time in the hotel but matters when you are staying for a bit longer time. Complimentary internet connection is available for 2 device which I find a bit restrictive for 2013 :) It should be available free of charge, period. Breakfast was as expected from a hotel in Regent class - variative, excellent quality & fresh ingredients. The coffee was good which I appreciate after a series of bad hotel-served a cup of joe. Service is efficient, could be more friendly but seems to be the same everywhere in singapore. Though one person, Ms Yanti from front desk exceed above the rest. Reading the other reviews about regent I can understand that some find it outdated in style but I was looking for understated timeless luxury and that what regent is. It is not the place for those looking for a swanky millennial hotel with silvery aluminium interior. In Regent you'll find warm old world luxury. The service I experienced was true to its heritage though a dash of sincerity & personality and less formality will do nicely.

Professional service and friendly staff. The best stay I've been to so far. Staff guided us through and to our room. They had an outdoor pantry for guests that provides us with free flow of drink machine (latte, mocha etc), a water dispenser machine as well as a vending machine for other can drinks (which is far cheaper than outside). The inn provides cookies/biscuits to each room as well. The service staff are all efficient and you don't have to wait long for them to attend to you. The skyroom is just like what you saw on their website. The room itself is very spacious and the bathtub located at the balcony overlooking the sky. The room is equipped with a smart tv (the only thing off is that the tv remote is not functional, able to watch videos and movies by the keyboard and mouse though), a unique bath robe, good toiletries with a bath exfoliating scrub inclusive. The bathroom includes rain shower that alongside would able you to walk to the outdoor balcony. Overall facade, splendid. Swimming pool is more like for one to get a dip, not like any other swimming pool but still clean and nice. Location is not so isolated; a walking distance to shopping malls and the inn is near to a stretch of eateries, convenience store and a grocery store. Extremely satisfied, would totally recommend it to family and friends, a very serene and ideal place to stay even for a staycation. Definitely will make a return stay there soon. Thumbs up!

We are very grateful for the free upgrade from a two bedroom to a three-bedroom premium during our 8-day stay with 8 on Claymore. The apartment is huge with plenty storage space. The dishwasher (when housekeeping not available during weekend) and the washing/drying machine are user-friendly. There were snacks and cup noodles in the welcome basket (one-off supply) which was great when we were hungry upon arrival and all the restaurants nearby were closed. The 24-hour gym and 16-hour swimming pool were clean and superb. Centrally located on Scott’s Road, it takes only 5 min to Orchard MRT if you take the short-cut through its back door to its sister hotel. Supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants (from food court to Michelin two star) are all within a few minutes’ walk. Everything was great during our stay! Would definitely recommend to everyone going to Singapore!!!

It was my first time to visit Singapore. I had very short time to prepare myself including hotel reservation. I have been very fortunate to get information to choose the hotel and make reservation via agoda.com. I was lucky to reserve the YWCA Fort Canning Lodge with a nice discount. The hotel is located in the very convenient area, near the subway station (MRT), near big shopping malls such as Park Mall, Sigapuru Plaza, ect. We can take the subway to Orchard, the place having a lot of shopping department stores. My Singaporean friends told me that they now know a very convenient hotel to introduce to their friends who will visit Singapore.
