Great place to stay if you’re in Iowa City. It is in the heart of the city and close to the University. The rooms are spacious with an industrial type theme. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend staying there if you find yourself in Iowa City.

I stayed here with my family for 4 days. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen is convenient once they don’t have breakfast. They make the bed and change the towels every day but they don’t clean the floor or the bathroom nor the bathtub. We got a dirty room and its floor wasn’t clean not even once during our stay. They have a coffee machine but the coffee isn’t replaced everyday. The toilet paper another issue, we almost run out of it. The fitness center has many equipments but it’s hard to find. They do have parking but it’s very inconvenient because you have to validate the ticket every single time and it’s on another building which is hard to find at first. The staff is kind.

Got the king suite with balcony and it was a wise investment. The staff were super helpful, was able to get a late check out without issue and the location made it easy to spend Friday to Sunday without having to move my car once. Thumbs up!

My partner and I travelled to Iowa City for a concert, and stayed at the Vetro. We did enjoy our stay, but we have a few notes for Vetro/other travelers! Pros: *LOCATION: this hotel is right where you want to be! Close to everything! The shops, courtyard, restaurant/coffee shop/grocery in the building, theatre, all the things are right close by! *Parking was free! *Staff were great! *Huge terrace with our room! Cons: *Could have been cleaner; we had a lot of dust in the room/ cobwebs in windows. It was 90% clean - my partner and I are clean people so if it had been really bad we would not have stayed. It just could have been a bit better. *Confusing to Navigate at first: it took us a while to figure this place out - where to enter, where to park, how the floors worked… the gym is especially confusing and we never even sought out the pool. BUT once you get your bearings it’s actually very convenient!
