environmentally difficult. Room shook whenever trains passed below. Air conditioner was old and made a racket. The room had an unpleasant smell, perhaps because of fumes from the highway.

I'm not impressed with howard johnson hotel. The quality of room and the price is very contrast. Not recommend to anyone to stay this hotel. Room is dirty, smell is bad and noisy with the traffic outside at night. I'm sure you can pay to another hotel and get everything better than this hotel.

My cousin met an accident while entering the compound. His car was bumped by another car while he was looking for the signages of the hotel. It was about 8pm he had a hard time looking since the sign was small. The hallway was very noisy at 4am I can't sleep anymore

Big rooms with wide windows ”

At its standard even for the big city like Washigton, the hotel rate ($/= per night)I think was somehow high. May be the demand was high as it was during the presidential election period. The hotel is sandwitched between the a very busy road and a railway. though it is well insulated but noise-polution is not cut-off completely, hence for those with light-sleep may have rest-less nights.

The hotel locate in the main road,easy to find. Location is not feel safe. The hotel is a little bit old. The room is a little bit small.

Economy hotel just outside the high price area”

Older style and well maintained by pleasant staff. There are no bus routes past the hotel so the only access without a car is walking about a mile to the closest Metro statio. this would be bearable but unfortunately at present, direct access to the station is blocked by major roadworks, requiring a detour through a large market area. The streets are well lit at night but uphill all the way getting back to the hotel.

Hotel for reasonable price”

The hotel was clean, our room was big, the price was reasonable (when comparing to other hotels in Washington, DC). In general we were satisfied with our stay. The only negative thing was that there was a reconstruction on the way, we had to go around and thus it was relatively far to subway.

Lovely hotel with friendly environment”

In breakfast some salt items are needed to be included. This hotel will be more attractive for the travelers after inclusion of lunch and dinner services.(with Halal Items)

A good hotel with good rooms but limited services.”

The rooms and bathrooms/toilets are good, clean and spacious.The rooms are equipped with 24 hour WiFi and its always working! The rooms have got iron along with ironing stands.The coffee maker and refrigerator add to the convenience. The location is good as regards the travel by taxi but if you need to travel by bus or train, then it is a bit cumbersome. The room dedicated for the breakfast is small with very little seating capacity. There is no facility for any kind of food at the hotel after the breakfast hours (6 am to 9 am). The management is very friendly, hospitable and cooperative. They are always happy to help and guide you in any matter. The management helps you get taxis at cheaper rates through its own contacts.

Great service , bad location and bad rooms”

i don't like this hotel because the location is dangerous and you need walk near the market and this area is not safety for anybody. becarefull. the service was so friendly and all the time gave us information about the city .

Nice location hotel”

The hotel staff are nice and friendly. Unfortunately, the hotel is located on New York Avenue, which is now under construction (Nov 18, 2011). Pedestrians have to detour since the sidewalks are closed. Metro station (New York Ave) is close to the hotel, about 5-10 minutes walk.

Service without smile”

staffs are not so frienfly and professional. At this moment the staff was a bit inpolite. It took much time if I asked the staff to call a Taxi for me and let me stay about 10 minutes outside the hotel.
