Room was large, but not clean. Always had to ask for amenities to be replenished. Old and in need of updating. It could be a very nice place otherwise.

Hard to communicate, no traveler services”

The hotel was clean, safe and quiet. Unfortunately, the staff were unable to communicate in English (if you know Chinese you might be able to get help from one of the staffers.) So I was unable to get help with booking train tickets the next day, it was also a bit difficult to get around Pyin Oo Lwin from the location, the horse and carriage was about $10 US I think. The pool looked nice but it was not filled during the winter months. The internet was rather fast, mostly because Pyin Oo Lwin is a military city. Go see the botanical gardens!

Disappointing location and staff language skills”

none of the staff having much English language skill so were not able to help us beyond very basic matters. Notwithstanding this we did manage to enjoy our stay in Pyin Oo Lwin, see what we came there to see and move to our next destination successfully.

nice place if you get the right room”

The negatives: cigarette smell in most rooms, little english at front desk, no swimming pool as shown, location not good (up a small side road with nothing close by) The positives: they gave us a clean, non smelling room. The internet worked good, rooms are more like bungalows and are large with big flat screen tv's and nice bathrooms. Western breakfast was not good but the burmese one was excellent. One woman there speaks excellent english so your problems can be worked out. Best if you have your own transport to get around. We would stay again. Good value for the price with the right room. Don't miss the kandawgyi gardens - amazing!

Good for family holiday stay”

Hotel is pretty. I would only give it two stars by western standards but then this is not the west. Myanmar is struggling to join the rest of the world and as such I think this hotel is doing a good job. It is important to judge this hotel and others like it by the standards of the country. This was a good place to stay.

Hôtel excentré, prévoir lampe de poche le soir et surtout un bon sens de l'orientation. Calme assuré du à la position. Dommage que l'entretien des locaux ne soit pas fait, tout est décrépi, la piscine d'accès difficile ressemble à une marre à canards, eau trouble verdâtre, pas d'entretien.Hôtel sur le déclin, malgré un potentiel locaux important.Dommage pour le personnel parlant peu anglais mais gentil et serviable

War nur eine Nach da. Bei Stromausfall fängt der W-Lan-Router im Zimmer das Piepsen an. Die Lage ist auch total weit weg und den Pool hab ich auch nicht gefunden. Essen hab ich nicht probiert. Die meisten angestellten sprechen kaum englisch. Gibt bessere Unterkünfte im Zentrum.

Hotel liegt etwas ausserhalb, Transport ins Zentrum nicht einfach aber mit Motorradtaxi machbar, abends stockdunkel,gute Infrastruktur (auf Myanmar bezogen!), hilfsbereites Personal, Sprachkenntnisse nur beschränkt. Schöne, ruhige Lage mit tollem Fruchtbaumgarten.
