Finally a places where the accommodation looks as good as the pictures. A+ for cleanliness. A+ for comfort. Our breakfast was just perfect, and they know how to make an almond milk coffee. Carla accommodated our late check in and welcomed us the next morning at breakfast. Actually bought items at the gift shop, a first, but the selection was all well priced beautifully curated and useful. Over a wonderful, clean, comfortable, peaceful stay. We don’t ever say this, but, we will be back.

Great spot set in lovely gardens. The villa was very well designed and had all the creature comforts. Carla welcomed us and took us through the villa to settle us in. Would recommend and would stay again

Friendly staff (free coffees on our arrival was a nice touch), First class facilities, great coffee shop on site (on the lake) beautiful gardens to stroll through, short walk to the beach, short drive to town. top quality fittings in the bungalow. Large tv in the lounge room, smaller tv in the bedroom. Comfy bed. Washing machine. dishwasher. stove..quiet location. Can't fault this place. Will definitely be back.

Each room is a separate small apartment within what feels like a little island of apartments. Admittedly unusual and looks a little like a caravan park, but it’s not! And I’m sure previous visitors and surprised and delighted by the clean garden view rooms available. I think this place would be great for visiting families to stay. Lovely clean pool was available (although stayed too short to to it!), staff were really friendly and helpful, willing to share local knowledge of the area. Too bad we only stayed one night as it seemed the was a lot of walking trails and beach things we missed! Only thing a bit lacking was I didn’t realise is was a 10 minute walk from the beach - thought the place was almost ON the beach... but otherwise nice stay overnight. Have a go! 😊

Oasis ”

The Getaway is certainly somewhere you can go to get away. The units are very modern and have all you require for a relaxing couple of days. The couple who run it , Elvis and Carla were very welcoming and suggested several good places to visit nearby. The grounds are beautifully manicured with lots of colours and wildlife. We loved the built in dishwasher ( like a drawer). The cafe on site was excellent and all the staff very attentive. The only downside is it is about 2-3 km from the shops and restaurants. But with self catering and a car there is no problem.

A perfect Getaway at 1770 Getaway”

A truly beautiful peaceful oasis. Magnificent grounds - amazing bromeliads throughout the gardens!! Lovely accommodation, comfortable, very spacious, clean, tranquil setting. Extremely well equipped with everything you would need. Lovely pool which we made full use of. Really great cafe - excellent food (loved the spit roast) and in a beautiful setting. The staff were super friendly & helpful. Would have liked to have stayed longer. Highly recommend.

There was a lot of personal touches made that we were not expecting (Weber provided on the balcony of each villa), glad wrap, oil, salt and pepper, aeroguard etc as well as a complimentary coffee on arrival! These small gestures, made our experience so much more enjoyable as it was less that we had to think of. The staff and the way they treat their guests and visitors was a 10/10 and we have now decided that we are going to make this an annual holiday at this particular place, just because we had such a good experience.

After the storm!”

We were supposed to travel on the 18th Oct for 6days. Unprecedented rain cut Agnes Water 1770 off. After chatting to Elvis the owner we arranged to spend 5days from 21st Oct. So glad we managed to get to this little piece of paradise. The garden villa was so comfortable and contained everything we needed. (Even a vegetable peeler I could use as a left hander. Didn’t use it but I could have). Everything was green and lush. The staff are so pleasant and hard working. Cafe was amazing. The eggs Benedict the best I’ve ever had. Lamb roast on Wednesday didn’t disappoint. Would love to return. Only a small problem ( I have already mentioned to Elvis.). The bathroom was beautifully clean and well equipped. The walk in shower was lovely but as I am disabled I found the stainless steel rather slippery there were no hand rails or non slip area. The toiletries supplied were organic and lovely especially the Body soothe after a dip in the pool.

Fantastic place to stay! Beautiful individual villas with private deck all set with BBQ! Staff extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any query. Liked the getaway so much we extended our stay by another night! 1770 is a wonderful place to visit and staying at 1770 getaway makes the experience that much more relaxing.

Great location for those wanting a private getaway. Perfectly situated with quiet beaches and calm surroundings. Bring your walking shoes though. The trek down to the beach is short but steep!
