Great hotel for the price in San Francisco!!!”
I've stayed in many an hotel in San Francisco, but this by far the best I've ever stayed at! The staff, especially Lisa, went above and beyond to be helpful. I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in till I left. I never felt hesitant to ask about something for room. I booked a room with a private bath but i checked out the shared bathrooms and showers and they were immaculately clean! And if you book from your mobile it's possible to save up to $20 a night! But if that doesn't happen I highly recommend this hotel at full price. It's clean, it's quiet and in a Safe neighborhood with some fabulous outdoor dining if you walk a couple blocks in any direction. I love Hotel Lion, it's a real jewel!

The hotel is cute, clean and charming! Fabulous location in the heart of San Francisco. The staff is wonderful, most of my interactions were with Lisa who was awesome... totally friendly, courteous and helpful. EXCELLENT customer service! Thank You! Would most definitely recommend the Hotel Ikon.
Great value a few details to note”
Great great great value. A few notes to keep in mind—Windows are very low to the ground so a bit dangerous with a 2 year old. We visited during an heat wave & our room had no ceiling fan so the fifth floor room was a little warm. A few maintenance issues: Elevator happened to go down at checkout and lobby coffee pot at check in . The drain and toilet were a TINY bit finicky in the room , we were offered to switch but we were there for such a short time and just to shower and sleep, it was manageable. Hotel staff was warm welcoming pleasant nice. So were the residents as it is a “mixed building” some people are renters and some are hotel guests. Great location! Felt safe! Love that you need a fob to get into building and that parking was available across the street (no association to hotel). China town and coffee within a 2 minute walk. Would recommend hands down! It was motel prices but much cleaner and centrally located!

Denis was super helpful and friendly, went out of his way to assist us. The other staff were also good. The elevator was old and so very difficult to use, going up and down was a task. An electric kettle in the room would have been very helpful, we had to go to the shared lounge where coffee, hot water, a microwave and toaster are available. Unable to have a cup of hot Green Tea in the room. Room was small but clean, WiFi strong. Location of hotel is great, very close to Chinatown and easy to walk or Uber to so many tourist spots

Definitely the best bang for your buck in the whole area. Relatively cheap, clean room, full bathroom with a tub.
