A place to take a bath and sleep while waiting for the next flight”
On my flight from Los Angeles to Melbourne there was an eleven hour connection in Honolulu. Wonderful isn't it? Here is the catch. I arrived in Honolulu at 8:30PM and my next flight was scheduled to 8:30AM. There is nothing to do at this time. So, staying eleven hours at the airport is tough right? To make things worse, Honolulu airport closes it's gate area at night and if you intended to stay there until morning, forget it. They escort you to an open area outside the gates where you can spend the night sleeping on the floor or on cement benches. Amazing right! This hotel was the closest one I could find. It was not cheap but was the best choice to relax and rest before part two (eleven hour flight) to Melbourne. I had to walk one block to find a McDonald's and a convenience store because the hotel's kitchen was already close. The room was really big and clean. If you call the hotel they will pick you up at the airport with a free van, the same one that will drive you back to the airport. And there was a fee to be paid at the front dorm. So, in my opinion the cost/benefit was good.

Everything was great at this hotel. Although I did have some issues with some of the ladies at the front desk. Including one being the manager. I kept catching them in lies constantly and they were giving us a very hard time while we were staying here. For example, I had a card I could put on file but wanted to put some in cash but the manager refused, the next day I went to the front desk she allowed someone to do that and apparently she’s a regular who does that all the time. And on their website including others it states that their parking is free, but when arriving they expect you to pay $40 a day or $20 a day if you book through them. However, when speaking to a couple nicer people at the front desk, they informed me that it’s not per day, it’s one flat rate. So I feel like they were over charging and trying to get extra money from guests. That is not okay! All in all, the hotel is decent, close to airport and lots of shops, in the center between east and west, clean, no bugs, cold ac, hot shower, nice clean pool, a little store and bar, vending machines, washers and dryers, etc. it’s a good hotel to stay at, just wish the front desk was all on the same page.

For folks who need pick up service from the hotel: you'll need to call the hotel and let them know where you are, they'll pick you up near the baggage claim area. The hotel itself is very close to the airport, but as a first timer to Hawaii I'd say it's best to let the shuttle pick you up, don't attempt to walk as the airport layout and walking paths can get confusing. The hotel itself is good, meets all my expectations, and is quiet. Staff are courteous and the rooms are clean. The shop inside of the hotel has most everyday things such as snacks and medicine, but there's no restaurant on site, so you might need to order food delivery. If you are looking for a convenient airport hotel, this is the one to go with

Our room was clean, well light, great air conditioner, nice pool area, great staff. Very close to airport. I prepared meals. But small shop had really nice, well priced meals just in, that looked delicious. It was quite a high price, but that might be noticed as Aussies due to low conversion of Australian dollar.
