Excellent and fast laundry service. compact but comfortable room and clean bathroom. kind staff. quick check-out. The Hotel is 3 min from the next metro station and an other 5 min (metro) from taipei main station.

Excellent hotel, good service and location”

Overall I am happy with my stay. My twin room on the club floor is quite small compared to the single room that my friend was staying just next door. Breakfast buffet selection is average. The 2 Chinese restaurants are pretty good.

Good location and great service”

The location is good and near MRT. I celebrated my wife's birthday and stayed there. Their reservation dept. helped me to decorate the room with flower, booked their restaurant(A Cut Steakhouse) and ordered a bunch of flower. I deeply appreciate them.

Great service”

the hotel interior is timeless, a lovely decor. and the 2012 xmas decorations were so nice. but what made this hotel special was the staff, they were without exception helpful and wonderful our daughter was very sick on her stay there, and they allowed us to stay free of charge until a 4pm check-out. that was very kind of them.

Standard double upgrade”

this is my second time staying at this hotel. i was very luck, the standard double room i booked was taken by others, so hotel staff upgrade my stay to executive level's room. it was very nice. staff was nice. food was great. overall, very pleasant stay.

Established Luxury hotel with modern facilities”

Hotel is in a local neighborhood but centrally located. Nice interior, for Exec. Floor special check-in counter and lounge at 11F. Very friendly and quick service. The room amenities quite new. Seems to target also JApanese travellers.

Lovely hotel excellent staff and good location”

It is worth staying at the exec room. The rooms were great and I got upgraded to an exec suite when I came back. Staff even helped print ou English instructions despite obtaining the Chinese instructions to direct us to xiaoren guo amusement park

Lovely hotel on the airport shuttle route ”

Spent one night and got upgraded to a lovely room The hotel is directly in front of the bus stop for the airport shuttle which makes it v v convenient So direct train stops to Shilin night mkt and taipei main station. I would stay here again.

Lovely interior... Good location!”

Wasn't expecting much of the hotel as I was told by a local that the hotel is quite old. As such, I wasn't overly surprised to see a rather dated exterior as I got off the airport shuttle.. However, that's where all the negatives end. A book should never be judged by its cover - once inside, the hospitality was nice and warm. The rooms were nicely decorated - cosy with all the comforts of home. It still does not compare to the Conrads, Shangri-Las of the world ... but for the price that I paid for the room, there isn't much to complain about.

the hotel is convenience located with less than 5 mins walk to metro station, close to convenience stores, restaurants and market with lots of food stands. the room is reasonably sized and in good condition. Staffs are friendly and helpful.

Hotel with good service”

It's still nice at a standard room. It has got all I need. A clean bathroom and standard comfortable bed. However, it is an very old hotel thus there is still a tinge of cigarette smell at the corridor. The room is still refresh. It's only less than 5 min walk to an MRT station. There are plenty of shops and restaurants around and there is also a department store just 1 block away. It has excellent location.

Not much attractions nearby”

Hotel is big but the decor in room is a bit dated especially the carpets . There’s a stale odour as one gets into the room . Room size is acceptable . The nearest commercial area for shopping and dinning is about 3 blocks away .

Overall Service”

Staff Service－Staff service are good, the hotel is quiet Cleanliness - Although this hotel have been quite a while, you will be surprise of the cleanliness they have maintain Food - Omelette, quite good. Should put more effort in doing pastries & bread, still room for improvement. Porridge wise, the add-on toppings should have more variety since this is Taiwan. Room - The only set back is, most of the bed are only Queen size (only Executive and above offers King size bed)

Among 5-star hotels, Ambassador is affordable yet it's a bit for from Zhongshan district. Most of the staffs are very kind, but it's quite hard to communicate in English. About room condition, when people talked each other, I could hear the voices from other rooms, which was a bit annoying at night. I called the reception about this, but something made me feel that I was the problem. If you want to stay near Zhongshan district with quite affordable price, I would recommend this hotel, but sorry to say, I don't think I would try again.

Great Location and Great Service”

The hotel is within walking distance to 2 MRT stations(Shuanglian and Zhongshan). It has many cafes and restaurants around. It is also within walking distance to a night market (Lingxia). The other famous night markets are all within 20 mins MRT rides away. The service of the hotel is also very good. The breakfast has a good variety, catering mostly to the chinese and japanese customers. Room is relatively big with good free wifi. Though my room faced the main road, there is hardly any sound. Only minor displeasure was that the pillow was a bit too soft. And it was unfortunate that the swimming pool was temporary out of service.

Way overrated and over priced. ”

Stayed at Kaohsiung and Taipei branch of the same type of rooms. Unfornately Taipei branch was very disappointing. The room atmosphere was very deteriorated, carpet smelly and old. But staffs are very excellence at their duties and endless commitment to fulfill guest's request.

Great Location”

Very comfortable and quiet poolside room. I would go back to Ambassador Taipei Hotel again. Definitely a must recommendation place to my friends, because it is near the train station and the bus stop for Taoyuan International Airport is just right in front of the hotel. And great tasting restaurants are every where.

Excellent on all fronts”

Excellent all round and I highly recommend booking the rooms on the 4th floor that have sliding doors which open onto the swimming pool area. There is typically no-one there or hardly anyone, you have a view and you can cool down in the very hot climate! Staff was always very good and pleasant.
