Amazing”

Stayed there for my birthday trip. 15-17 June 2019. Royal Superior, NEW Tower. I think the Royal Group has just injected money in lifting up this Hotel again back to it's original status. I was worried too reading all the old comments but my stay was nothing but amazing. NEW Tower has elevator. New furnitures, with air conditioning, great TV (internet tv with movies, musics etc) Nothing much on the breakfast varieties but still ok. Had a great steak dinner at Le Rabelais. Hung out there at night on the 2nd night with live piano performance. Enjoyed Le Quyen and Quoc Thien concert on the basement of New Tower. Spa (Old Tower 2nd F) was the best I ever had. Location wise, well, it is right in the middle of the city. Walking distance to Atiso statue shopping mall with BIG C supermarket. But you need to take taxi to Cho Dem and other places. Suit up bellboys everywhere, and maid looking ladies in every corner ready to assist you. Keep it up! I really enjoyed my stay!

Beautiful but may need some maintenance”

Beautiful large palace with stunning views, however all 3 rooms our family was in had some leaking water issues in the bathrooms. Very nice hotel, but may need some maintenance. Breakfast is nice. Dinner restaurant is overpriced, but the waiters and staff were great.

Very convenient and accommodating ”

The staff was very nice and able to meet our needs. We stayed two nights and had a private tour arranged within 15 minutes. We had laundry done on the same day. Our only problem was the fact that there were lots of stairs and the bathroom was not handicapped accessible. We had to climb into that bathtub and we just about flooded the bathroom with their shower head. Sorry.

Nice hotel with a new wong, good location”

The grounds are very nicely maintained. Lots of flowers with large grass areas. The grand building in the background looks majestic. The new wing just opened Dec 2017. The rooms are very nice and the decor and style match the ambience of Dalat Palace Heritage. Problem is the hot water supply is not reliable.

fantastic attention to detail in elegant setting”

From beginning to end, We felt treated like royalty! Extremely comfortable restful sleep followed by a wonderful buffet breakfast. WE enjoyed an excellent dinner in the Le Rabelais dining room. Our room in the new wing was luxurious. WE love Dalat and look forward to returning to this fine hotel

WOW Spectacular hotel”

WE felt treated like royalty on arrival and everything in the hotel exceeded our expectations! Sleep was a dream with luxurious beds in quiet extremely comfortable rooms. We were in luxury rooms in the new wing with the lake view. Breakfast buffet is scrumptious and the dining room superb for an elegant impeccable dinner! We love Dalat and look very much forward to returning to this fine hotel!!

Fantastic scenery”

The palace hotel Architecture is quite unique in Vietnam. The design is elegant and exclusive. The staff are great. The hotel surrounding is amazing, especially the scenery towards Dalat. I had some issues with the plumbing. It's quite troubling to have a straight current of same temperature water in the bath. The breakfast is not rich enough comparing to other 4-5 stars hotels in Vietnam.

Unique Hotel”

Historic French building was restored to the last detail. Amazing experience ! Even the telephone and bathtub shower was from the 19th century. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My room was facing the back of hotel which was very near to the road. So it was very noisy due to motor cycles during peak hours. Otherwise it was OK. I would request for a room facing the front of hotel if I were to stay in this hotel next time.

Super impressive old french hotel. Magnificent”

This is a magnificent old french colonial hotel. So much character, you can feel the history in every part of the building. The staff were fantastic, a credit to the hotel management. The food in the dining room for dinner and breakfast was superb. If you are looking for a classy, romantic place to stay, stay here.

Great Hotel”

I stayed in this hotel for the first time. It was a wonderfull experience! The hotel has a lot of charachter, beautifull views from the rooms and has very spacious rooms. The breakfast is delicious and also it's a good place to have diner or afternoon tea. Wifi is working very well. I booked at a very low price,Í'll book again once prices are low again (in the low-season)

Hotel with history and luxury, ”

This hotel has been around for almost a hundred years but its original beauty and glorious past seems to be well maintained and kept up by the current management team! All rooms are furnished with the original furniture and fixtures...up to the shower head! They're all positioned such that each of them has the best view of the Xuan Huong lake below or the surrounding resort town! From the hotel, it's a short 10 or 15 minute leisure walk to Dalat central market or the French Indochina governor mansion. The service has been as good as ever and the staff try their best to make sure the guest has the most comfortable and pleasant stay possible. Staying at this hotel, you would enjoy the history that comes with it as much as the art works and all the mahogany furniture left over from the French colonial past!

A real palace”

Dalat Palace hotel is one of the former residences of the last Vietnamese emperor Bo Dai. All rooms preserve "old" style, including small details. If you have room with a balcony, you can seat there and enjoy lake view. Hotel has tennis court, golf club, French restaurant. The only drawback was when somebody moved upstairs I could hear every step, as floors are from wood. Highly recommend it as a base to explore Dalat, even for 1-2 nights only (then moving to cheaper place)

Classic French Colonial Hotel with best view”

Spent 2 nights with family at the Dalat Palace Hotel. Remarkable preservation of a historical French style hotel in the Vietnam highlands. Staff excellent and ervice are all excellent. Rooms make you think you are in Europe with high ceilings, hugely spacious, French doors and windows. Seriously peaceful compared to the usual hustle and bustle of Vietnam. No air conditioning, not really necessary at this time of year. No real shower but amazing old fashioned bath tubs. French art throughout. Only 2 dozen rooms. Very private. Great idea. Not cheap, but if you like this style really quite romantic.

when i arrive is was stunt with the beautiful french architecture. the exterior is great also interior is beautiful. i can fell the old day how french influence in to vietnam. the quality of furniture is antiqued. nice view you can see lake from your window. it's not far form market you can walk about 10 minute. you will not get tried to walk because the view of dalat is nice.

Special 5 star Indochina experience”

The Dalat palace is a wonderfully restored huge old slice of old Vietnam. The rooms are gorgeous and with a view over the gardens and the lake. The beds are super comfortable and the food and service excellant. Well worth the 5 stars and for the per night, well worth the money.

Beautifully restored hotel in a great location”

I've wanted to stay in this hotel ever since I first saw it in 1995 just before its grand reopening. I was not disappointed. The restoration is magnificent with great beauty and style everywhere you look. No detail has been spared from the brass plumbing and claw foot bathtubs to the magnificent Phalaenopsis orchids that grace every public room. The beds are comfy with down comforters and pillows. I especially enjoyed having evening drinks in Larry's Bar.

Great and very special Hotel”

This is the first time we stayed in this hotel and we were just soo very pleased! The room and the whole Hotel ist very,very special. We did also use their Cafe de la poste and again this is such a lovely place with delicious food and at a very reasonable price. I can highly recommend both Hotel and their Restaurant.

One of the best hotel ever”

I chose this hotel because it is the best in Dalat and it is the best. Not only in Dalat, it is one of the best hotel I ever stayed. Dalat Palace is full of European sensation and they are beautiful. You will have a great view of Dalat from the balcony. This hotel is really romantic. You will feel special when stay there.

Good place to stay in Dalat”

Our room in the central of the Dalat Palace Heritage Hotel that has view to direct the Xuan Huong lake, super nice view (but the breakfast's poor). So we're going to book for next trip (room exclude breakfast).
