Frienly staff, comfortable place”

I am sastified with the villa. The staff are very friendly, helping me and giving me direction to those places I planned to go. Environment is good, there is a swimming pool (although I did not swim there), and can do BBQ there, best choice for big group of friends to stay there. Room is considered big with the price, and it is comfortable. Only weak point is the location, it is out of the town. It is not difficult to find, because it is just beside Makam Maksuri, but difficult to reach if not renting your own car.

Not a comfortable and pleasant stay”

For breakfast, the milk is mixed with condensed milk which is sweet. For those who wants to put milk in the coffee, it becomes sweet. The swimming pool is dirty and seen many small insect inside the pool water. Out of 3 rooms we booked, 2 of the rooms have many mosquitoes and other insects in the room. The hotel stuff should make sure to spray the insect killer before guests arrival and not till guests move in only request the insect killer spray.

The Cozy Hotel Located Away from Town”

The hotel is a brand new hotel and everything is almost at very good condition. The decor was great and excellence for 1 star hotel. It is located 15 mins from Kuah Town and 300 m from Makam Mahsuri and Nasi Dagang Pak Malau. The cons, where there are one big family rented a few units and organized family day within the hotel area. They are not respect the others privacy, using a siren on early morning, make noise at swimming pool until midnight. Hotel management should control this kind of situation. Furthermore, at midnight the hotel won;t allocate a service desk personnel. They just leave a security guard alone and this might cause trouble if the guest faced any emergency situation.

new villa with comfort room”

good place to stay, since it is quite a new villa. Location is good for us since it is in the middle of our target locations to visit, may not be suitable for those who target beach. the breakfast was served late, the only dissappointment.

Excellant villa in the middle of greenaries”

Excellant location in the middle of Malay village in Langkawi. Sorrounded by green mountain, paddy (rice) field, and greenaries with fresh air. Good for cycling as the road is not busy. The Villa is connected to other interesting places e.g beaches, waterfall, mountain in Langkawi through good road networks. Close to the main airport at Padang Mat Sirat. The Villa provides swimming pool, barbeque and other facility for families or group get together. The management and staff are friendly and very helpful. The local and American breakfast served at the dining are excellant. In general the whole facilities are clean and well maintained. There is a food stall that sell good "Nasi Dagang" a walking distance from the villa. The food stall is located at the edge of paddy field where people can enjoy the sceanary of green mountain.

Clean and quiet surrounding”

The biggest problem with the hotel is its location, it's kind off in the mid of no where, oh sorry its just next to the makam mahsuri. Well, no where near the beach or town and its really very remote especially when night falls. My family were the only guest on our 2nd night at the hotel however the hotel did light up all the lights, that really ease our fear a bit.

Excellent hospitality in the heart of Langkawi”

Dewani Villa, despite its location in the remote area of the village, held its natural beauty being in the heart of Langkawi. It's right next to Makam Mahsuri; one won't miss the opportunity to visit one of the heritage sites while there. The room is very much accommodating for big families. Staff are extremely friendly, making the stay much more pleasurable.

Bed & breakfast, with pool”

Location is just a stone throw away from Makam Mahsuri, so its a bit out of way for those wanting to spend most of your time at the beach. But if you plan to do round island trips to various attractions, it shouldn't really matter. Each room or set of rooms is housed in its own villa, disjointed from the other, however they are not really sound proof so you can hear the other guests quite clearly if they are walking past or talking outside at the common walkway. An outdoor pool & BBQ pits are located at the centre of the property behind the reception. Surroundings are basic, dotted with decorative trees but grass were not trim during my stay. Breakfast choices are not many but sufficient. They change the menu according to number of guests on that particular day. I had delicious nasi lemak with scramble egg & curry chicken on 2 days, and nasi goreng ikan bilis & fried noodles on another. Try arrive early for breakfast as it may run out, and then you need to wait for the staff to replenish the food. Parking is available inside its compound. If you are coming back to the hotel at night, drive carefully as the kampung streets are dark. Watch out for cow crossing the street!

Dewani Villa September 2015”

The situation of the Villa is central to the island of Langkawi an with a car all parts of the island can be reached easily and in a short drive. The stay was marred by heavy rain overnight which caused our room to flood, soaking all of our possessions left on the floor . With hind sight there were signd of this happening before. The next morning we treported this and were given a new room which would not flood (on a slope not flat ground. A bit dissapointed that we were not offered to have our flooded clothes laundered! We rinsed them and dried in the sun - Langkawi was not affected by the smog covering most of Malaysia. The staff were friendly and helpful in general. Breakfast was satisfactory but get there early for best choice. On the last day breaffast times were delayed and we were not informed on the day before. As we had plasnned to get away immediately after an early meal we had to leave without eating. Despite these problems the Villa is excellent value for money and we would return.

staff: very helpful in term of everything even they only 3 staff. price: value for money and they even serve breakfast. quite good selection. location: far from beach and town but very calm with kampung surrounding. (must rent transport) room: clean room with enough space for praying for muslim.

Pleasant and comfortable”

Comfortable stay with spacious and clean room. New budget hotel with nice swimming pool and ample car park. Located in the middle of the island in a quiet village about 300m to makam mahsuri. You need a transport to visit other parts of the island. Breakfast was ok

A little gem at Langkawi island”

The room full with ants and spiders! Staff didn't make up the room properly (toilet is not clean even we have left the room key for the staff to make up the room), spider webs can be seen in almost every corner of the room. Ants are everywhere so beware the bed may have ants crawling around. Limited breakfast selection but overall still value for money.

Unprofessionally operated ”

The hotel is located at a quite village, you'll need a car to travel a long distance to reach famous attractions. Overall the property is brand new with a nice swimming pool & garden but it is not professionally operated. We spend almost 2 hours to check in for 5 family rooms due to improper cleaning in each room and malfunction of the room facilities. There was ants and insects anywhere, floor in bathroom slippery, air-condition & lighting malfunction, smeared mark on towel & bedlinen, bedroom door cannot close properly…Luckily the hotel staff still able to fix the problems base on our request (guest become an inspector of the hotel). We stay there for 2 nights and they did not clean our room at all, we have to call reception to clear the rubbish in room. Breakfast was limited choice and not enough for all guests.

Need car to reach this hotel, generally new and clean. Floor in bathroom slippery and swimming pool need more Frequent cleaning. Otherwise good price. Definitely more than one star value. Good for family with car, undisturbed. Very close to the matsuri can even walk. Also got kampung food stall nearby if hungry

Best Villa ”

Dewani Villa Langkawi is very strategic place : easy to go Pantai Chenang, Pekan Kuah, Airport and many more. Rooms is very comfortable and clean. Staff is very helpful. I will stay here again when i come to Langkawi.

We family of elders and young child enjoyed our stay at dewani. The staffs over there were very friendly and supportive. I highly recommend this hotel for families who look for peaceful location to stay. Of course there are some things for improvement like water tap in the bathroom was occasionally leaking, the washbasin in the bathroom was difficult to use..

Best stay at Langkawi”

The stay was brilliant. All the staffs were very warm and welcoming and helpful. The cottages are clean and cozy. It is away from the city but worth the distance. I would recommend Dewani Villa to all.

Value for money”

Its good value for money but housekeeping could improve further. Trash were not removed. Wonderful stay but the owners need to hire more people to maintain the place properly
