Beauty in the basics ”
This is a spot you want to be if you want a bit of the river life. You won’t get total comfort and aircon but you will get a perfect River life feel and fishing village vibe. The staff itself is worth supporting. The menu is also well worth the convenience. You pay only a bit more for the river bungalow but if you want a quiet bit of river living it’s well worth it. I would liked to have a big bigger of a bug net for the bed, but I made do. It is hot this time of year so It starts to cool off about 1am so just expect to deal with that heat. You’re in Cambodia you’d think people would get it but ma y apparently don’t. I did notice Some of Europe’s finest treating the staff a bit nasty, so, do try and remember where you are and how to be polite at the very least.
Everything's fine ”
The lady who welcomed me was kind and professional. I was surprised because the food was really nice. A bit expensive, but tasty! One little problem - the mosquito net was a bit too small, but I could fix it with a bracket. For me as a solo traveler, no problem, but for me (2m tall) and my girlfriend, it would have been a problem. :D I had room 3. Maybe it's different in other rooms. I paid around €14, which I think is a bit expensive, but it could be that it's just my impression. And yeah, it's sensitive to noises, because I read this in the reviews often. But hey, it's one bamboo hut next to each other, directly at the river. So yes, there's nothing to complain about in my opinion.
My stay at Eden Echo”
Very nice retreat; this is my second time and if you want to get away from it all and get into nature this is the place. As it’s basic, bamboo style accommodation there is no A/C but they have a fan and breeze coming in from the river outside. Recommended for anyone who wants to really experience rustic living
Novelty wore off quick”
Eden eco Lodge is in a stunning location and the huts are pretty cool but wouldn't stay longer than 2 nights. As they are huts, there's obviously minimum sound proofing which isn't an issue with the boats going past ect as this was to be expected. The issue came with the staff having a very loud gathering until at least 2am in the hut next door. Which made it Impossible to sleep when we had a bus at 8am the next day. Also somewhere near by plays a call to prayer at 4 30am which isn't edens fault but just be mindful you'll get woken up if your a light sleeper. The food was nice and served the best fish amok we've had here so far.
