Highly recommended had the best time”
Thanks for making my 30th birthday a one to remember Miniloc Island family! Location is unreal. If you are coming to El Nido, that's the place to stay. Their complimentary tours take you to all the highlights before the crowds. Knoweledgble guides and nice skippers. Just for that the hotel is worth it. But then you also have the amazing reef out the front, available kayaks to go explore, great pool and lovely stuff who will do everything with a smile and from the heart. The hotel is a part of a chain that also gives you priority in the airport and lounge access which was a nice surprise. I'd just mention a few negatives but in the overall I'd not hesitate to stay here again (can't wait): 1. The room is pretty basic, nothing luxury. The bed was really hard. There was a bit of mould on the blinds from consedention. 2. For the ladies amongst us, FYI there is no conditioner in the room (there is the 'shampoo-conditioner' combined which is useless for us long haired ladies/ men). They made me buy it in the shop - luckily they sold it. I got a little mad but they were just following orders. The hotels definitely should change that. There was also no mosquito repellent available at dinner- I was eaten alive. We bought in the shop as well. 3. The food. Do not expect it would meet your international standards. It was OK. It was a bit hard for us to start with. We figured this is general in the Phillipines and not specifically in the hotel though. It is a buffet three times a day FYI. Lots of variety and the fruit were amazing. Breakfast was good too. It was more the dinner and lunch for us. 4. It appears many extended families tend to attend the resort. Lots of kids. At first we were bothered but luckily the noisy kids left after a couple of days. 5. Vibe in the restuanrant at night is not the most romantic- a bit food court like. We had one private dinner which was worth the money even though the food was pretty much the same. Made us feel very special. 6. It feels a bit crowded at times and if you stay in ground floor there is no privacy. The reception stuff were helpful and moved us a room after we asked. with everything I said it is still a 9/10 for us and we will definitely love to be back.
The perfect vacation to escape winter”
I’ve been looking forward to this trip since I planned and booked it to get away from the UK winter. El Nido is gorgeous - that’s a fact. The Miniloc resort is advantageously situated near activity sites like the Big & Small Lagoons where we kayaked and took gorgeous pictures. Navigating the Small Lagoon was an adventure for a chill vacationer type like myself. The snorkelling with the resort itself was so fun, with school of fish & big jack fish just around the area, particularly during feeding time. I can’t praise the staff enough. We really felt like we were cared for, from the welcome at the airport to the assistance when we left. All the guides for the activities were courteous, kind, and knowledgeable. Shout out to Kuya Andy, Ben, & Marlon for being the best guides. The food was fantastic! There was enough variety the 5 days we were there, although I wouldn’t mind having the pancit guisado station every night. Huge thank you to Bern & Lara, and to Chef Jeff for the scrumptious grilled unicorn fish. Would also like to thank nurse Zayn & Doc for taking care of our little cuts & bruises. The room itself was spacious, bed was so comfortable, and water pressure in the bathroom was good. My only comment is on the plastic toothbrush - I’d recommend using a bamboo one since it is an eco resort. I can’t wait to go back - actually planning our return to Miniloc even now.
Miniloc Island Resort - World Class, A Piece of Paradise”
Over 4 decades, we've been avid travelers around the world and have been lucky to experience some excellent vacation resorts. Had no expectations of El Nido Miniloc Island resort until we received the warm welcome coming staff off the boat. The location and surroundings of the resort is one of the very best we have seen in the world. The service staff - guide, front desk, waiters, cooks, cleaners were very helpful and polite that easily ranks 5 stars, comparable to the best resorts across the Americas, Europe and Asia. The rooms are impeccably clean and well organized. Buffet offers fresh seafood, fruits and a large variety of choices. Our guide, Ben B. was excellent during the tours he conducted. He made sure everyone was safe and shared extensive knowledge of the activities that we participated in. Above all, the beauty of this location, amenities is 2nd to none. We have recommended this resort to many of our friends and work colleagues. A piece of paradise worth many visits!
A paradise-like hotel ”
It's 20 extra miles from El Nido Airport or town, and upon arrival at the airport, there's a great lounge and the performance choir was great. It's a fantastic resort built on a very small piece of land on an island with only sharp rock mountains. It's quiet, beautiful, and clean, and offers three meals a day. Big Lagoon is nearby every day. They gave us a free tour of Small andbig lagoon. The full moon party was the peak of our stay. All the staff were very friendly and polite, and the food was the best.

This place is great. Staff are wonderful. They clean the room twice a day. Tours are superb especially our Tour Guide Joven. He is knowledgeable about the history of the place. He is always there for you and make sure that you are safe.
