HERMES Palace hotel promised a Spa and Massage services, but there was none. apparently, they stopped this service many many years ago. but the advertisement still can be read until now. I checkin because of the spa and massage and I pay real good price. definitely there must be a refund.

I don't know about the room, because i've booked for my friend and her family.. But, i know this hotel is one of the best hotel in Banda Aceh.. And I know this hotel with 5 stars facilities and I've booked the room with cheap price..

Our double room was acceptable for a 4* hotel. We got a good price, so that made it a satisfactory stay overall. Staff were very good. Breakfast was excellent. Location is out of town, so you need transport to go anywhere.

Comfort stay at reasonable price”

Single trip to Aceh. About 40 minutes taxi ride from airport. Becak taxi available at front of hotel. Clean and neat room. Free Wi-Fi network available but not so strong signal. Buffet breakfast are not gorgeous, but reasonably acceptable. The noise of nigth-show disturbs my sleep until 10 pm. If you prefer to go to sleep earlier , recommend to be careful to pick up room location.

I spent one night in Banda Aceh by staying here in Hermes Palace. Definitely one of the top hotels in Banda Aceh. What I love the most is the breakfast menus. The hospitality of the staffs in the strong point here. Will be back again and again to this hotel. Good job!

Overall it was OK, but bathroom was dirty - I made them replace shower head. The furnishings and TV made me think it was the 1980's - CRT TV Whaaaaaaaaaat.... Beds comfy, I slept OK. Not much options in Acehe either this or the Paddy..

Best choice in Banda Aceh”

We stay in grand deluxe for the first night at Hermes and second day we moved to deluxe room. The price different is about $10 more for the grand deluxe. In my opinion although grand deluxe is bigger, but the deluxe room on the fifth floor is in better condition and has better room design. When we decided to stay an extra night, we request directly to the hotel, but they said the hotel is full. So we checked agoda, and there are rooms available. So I guess is better to book through agoda.

Best hotel in Banda Aceh”

Every hotel in town is full on the night we arrived in Banda Aceh, due to some kind of government event. Therefore we check out almost all the accomandation in town. Stayed in another hotel for the first night and move to Hermes next day. In my opinion Hermes is the best choice in Aceh. Clean room, reasonable priced, good location and friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again for my next visit in Aceh.

Overal it is nice to stay at Hermes Palace because the hotel is clean so it is comfortable to stay. The location is also good because it is located in the city centre so it is quite easy to go to food centre. The staff is also good because they are friendly and helpful. So i will recommend this hotel to my friend if they plan to visit Aceh

The only 4-star hotel in Aceh”

Stayed here one night. The free airport pickup service was nice and the driver was very attentive. Arrived almost 2 hours earlier than check-in time but they checked me in anyway (maybe because there aren't many guests and they have plenty of vacancy) Didn't try the food because it was fasting month and there was no one eating at the hotel restaurant. The hotel building is quite old, and so were the room and its tube TV.

the hotel is in a handy location. the rooms are well equiped and the staff very helpful. at the time we stayed the wireless internet was not the best but all efforts were made to locate the problem. the coffee shop at the hotel has lovely pastries at a very low price. i would most definitely stay there again.

Decent hotel with great food”

rooms at hermes palace are not that luxurious, but food is really great (i especially loved the bbq), wi-fi is fast and works everywhere, plus they serve beer/wine which is very rare for banda aceh. among cons are: old fashion bathrooms, expensive rates, weak breakfast (meant only for local guests). on other hand, i don't think there is much choice of good hotels in banda aceh, so hermes palace is surely one of the best options if you are looking for upscale accommodation.

A delightful stay. I was made feel very welcome. The Junior suite was generous in size and the bed very comfortable. One minor concern was the room must not have been used for a while, as the hot water to the bath and shower was very rusty. My recommendation is that the when the room was being prepared, a check list should be ticked off, to ensure that all items and services with the room function properly. I must add that the room was made good in very short time. Thankyou for a wonderful stay. I shall return.
