This is my second stay. Tried another Medellin hotel in Estadio/Laureles area but returned to Dann Carlton. It is a large hotel recently remodeled; feels new & smells new. Breakfast is excellent w made-to-order eggs including omelettes. Coffee is high quality & continuously refreshed. Parking is included w easy access, safe & clean. Staff is well trained; from bellmen, Ruben at reception to pool assistant & breakfast staff. The restaurant is excellent & reasonably priced should you elect to eat in. Across the street are more excellent eating choices. The El Poblado commercial area is adjacent to the hotel as is a beautiful green space. There is a nearby grocery store & banks.as well. I would recommend booking a junior suite on a high floor (for a great view). Rooms in lower floors look into an adjacent apartment building. Hope this helps making your choice of where to stay.

It is in a pretty good location. I tried all 3 restaurants at the hotel and they all were very good. Great staff and the food was amazing. You must go to the restaurant on the last floor, the view is one of the best in Medellín. Staff in all restaurants were friendly and attentive. The room had an amazing view and I was fortunate that my room was ready earlier than check in. The cleaning staff was really good and friendly. My room was super clean everyday.Just be aware they start cleaning quite early. Front desk staff was alright. Some friendly some others not so much. I got room service but took over an hour to get someone on the phone (it was pretty late though). I got the hamburger and it got me sick. The pool seemed good. I was there one day but left after I got no service for over 40 minutes. The person in charge gave me the menu, left and never came back despite my efforts on getting him to pay attention to me. Overall, I would recommend staying here. It was comfortable and clean. I think it is closer to a 4 star hotel. It was a decent price. I will most likely stay here again when I go back to Medellín.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff”
We loved our stay at the Dann Carlton. While a bit more expensive than most hotels in Medellin, you get nice facilities to use which we really enjoyed. The pool and hot tub outside were very nice with towel attendants and waiters. The rooms were clean and spacious. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. We purchased breakfast with the room and it was a fantastic buffet. The worst part of the hotel was the location near a park that was full of homeless people and smelled bad, which meant walking through that anytime you wanted to leave. But there were plenty of restaurants nearby to enjoy.

Location, breakfast: excellent Room and facilities: clean, very good TV apps (youtube, netflix, etc.) are blocked. Receptionist at the nigt on 2nd of June was not kind.
Excellent location ”
The hotel is located in one of the best areas of Medellín, El Poblado. And it is within walking distance of many restaurants and main attractions. The breakfast menu is basically the same every morning, I think they could improve the breakfast and vary the menu. I ordered an omelette and I really couldn't eat it, they are not good at making omelettes. The gym has very old equipment but the positive thing is that the treadmills are outdoors. The bathroom was not so clean and some furniture in the room was in poor condition or broken. The reception staff are friendly and attentive. In general, it is a hotel that needs to be renovated, however the added value of it is the location.
