Great Stay Hotel, Well Located”

A great place to stay in Iloilo City. Situated beside the river, with direct access from the hotel to the boulevard river walkway. The rooms are large and clean, with good AC. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Italian restaurant provided a good variety quality breakfast as well as having a nice ambiance, as a relaxed coffee shop. The swimming pool was clean and perfectly located with views of the river. The pool area was a little bare and sterile. I suggest some plants and more shaded areas would make this area more inviting. Overall I enjoyed my stay at this historic hotel which was opened in 1960s, but is holding its age well.

Classic hotel in Iloilo”

This is one of the classic/old hotels in the city. Staff were very polite. Although no one mentioned there was maintenance works in the pool area so we bathe at a very questionable pool. They are in the process of renovating so definitely well come back once its completed. The buffet breakfast alone was already worth it.

Attentive staff”

We stayed in Injap and Hotel del rio during our stay in Iloilo and the thing that stood out for del rio is the attentiveness of the staff. Although the property is old, and the room could do a bit of renovation, the friendly and helpful staff made up for it.

This hotel existed since I can remember when going to iloilo. It has been my family’s favorite. What I personally like about it is its breakfast buffet! The tasty breakfast wont fail your early morning cravings! It is not that modern though in terms of its carpets and facade but its clean and the rooms are big and comfy!

For some reason we were upgraded to a suite room and we appreciate it very much. We got a very good view of the Iloilo River and the Esplanade. The staff are friendly and courteous.Breakfast Buffet was good and lots of choices.The Hotel though old is well maintained but elevator was out of order at the time we were there.Much better if elevator is working all the time.

Horrible Hotel Experience”

The hotel is old and is hardly maintained. We were greeted by a terrible stench upon arriving. The bad smell was all over the entrance and receiving area. The rooms were untidy and not at all inviting. The wifi was non-existent/non-functional. I was working while travelling and this was easily the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. Don’t bother.

Value for money”

We stayed here for 3 nights, though the hotel was already old but it is clean. The beds are clean & room is big. They clean the room & change the beddings everyday. Some parts need to be upgraded especially on swimming pool. The breakfast buffet is superb, i gave 5 stars for the breakfast. One staff on the resto is rude, but the rest were accommodating. The man receptionist is so judgmental. He let the porter & his fellow staff see our hotel confirmation & laugh. Maybe because I got this hotel at a very low price in agoda. Overall our stay here was excellent. I will recommend this to our friends.

I was not impressed when I waited long enough to be assisted to my room , but that was very minor . The staffs are polite and professional to handle my frustrations. Next, the wifi was not working in my room and they are very kind enough to correct the problem. We were then moved to another room , though I prefer the first one but for obvious reason I have to live with it. Overall , it was a great experience , few minor setbacks but I will still go back to this hotel. Staffs are polite and professionals , the room was big and clean , we did not enjoy the pool due to few constructions but we had a great walk along the river in Esplanade. Food was great , good value for money. Location wise , its very handy .and near to places I want to go. . SM CITY, church , Jollibee, Chowking and Greenwich are just few minutes walk from the hotel not to mention few more restaurants. As a proud Ilonggo , I m happy to recommend Hotel Del Rio as one of the good places to stay when you explore Iloilo

The room I stayed in probably is for person with disabilities. There is no shower curtain on the shower and toilet area is very wet after one takes shower. Staffs are very courteous and helpful. accommodating . They are very helpful even at little things

I stayed in this hotel couple of times and the experience were always within my expectations. Big, nice and clean room. Staffs are hospitable and helpful and the buffet breakfast was sumptuous. It's worth the money.

- breakfast is delicious - staff are super courteous - they make sure you are served well and they greet you everytime they see you - location is great - we arrived early and luckily they allowed us to check in early

Staff were fabulos”

I really enjoyed my stay and outside of one issue I would give this hotel a maximum rating. My issue was the internet was awful the signal was poor and I spent way to much time sitting in the lobby because there was no connection in my room. The staff was unbelievable ad so friendly and the hotel location is perfect!!

Hotel is located near the airport and has easy access on fastfood chains and convenience stores. Housekeeping was great. Although the hotel is under renovation still the facilities are clean. Staffs are very accomodating and can answer all my queries.

Big comfortable pillows”

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The room was huge, no issues about cleanliness. The ac was working very fine, hot and cold shower was working and they provided 4 big and fluffy pillows, which I really liked. We were touring very early so we didnt enjoy the bfat buffet and they instead provided us with canned pineapple juice and sandwiches which taste very good as well. I can positively recommend this hotel. Hope we could stay longer and enjoy the hotel.

great for value and surprisingly good”

its been years since the last time I visited this hotel, nostalgia sinks in and im quite impressed how it changed through the years. the rooms are well maintained, staff is superb and breakfast is good! love their hot chocolate and waffle! definitely will book again.

We stayed for 3d2n, we even bumped to our VP bet Leni Robredo in the hotel and took the chance for a photo op. Our stay is 5star they gave us a connecting rooms, one for me and my partner and the other for my friend. We had a problem though with our bathroom but staff were alert and addressed our problem right away, so if i go back to iloilo i will definitely stay with HDR again.

Nice place, great location”

This is a nice hotel with fairly clean rooms, little dated. The staff is very helpful, always a guard at the entry. The food was great, and the hotel is right on the river, so it is a nice view. Cannot see the ocean, but you get the river. easy to grab a taxi, and not too far from shopping, restaurants or the bay. I would stay here again

Comfortable , Safe , Enjoyable”

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel Del Rio which I use on a fairly regular basis . The room was well proportioned with effective air conditioning and comfortable large double bed I enjoyed the swimming pool which has a pleasant river view and good bar service too. The restaurant serves a good buffet breakfast up until 10am and the staff are most attentive. Location is good at the Del Rio as well with many restaurants close by and international style shopping just over the bridge at the large SM mall .

Comfortable , relaxing and secure”

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel Del Rio which is close to the attractions and events which I visit Iloilo for . The room was a reasonable size with large double bed and effective air conditioning. I had a nice view from the room of the river which runs close by the hotel and had guests visit me to enjoy a swim in the very nice pool . I have stayed at the Del Rio on a number of occasions before and i am famikliar with the arrangement of the hotel and the facilities available . The office has computer access to the internet which can be used if the guest does not have a lap top . The internet works reliably from the hotel's business office . On the occasion of my visit there was a theatre evening held in the convention centre with comedians booked from Manila to entertain . Many local people visit the hotel at weekends for functions and the hotel is a lively place . Security is good at the Del Rio and I always feel safe when I stay , usually accompanied by my fiancee who lives close by in Molo . I look forward to my next visit and stay at the Del Rio which I always book using AGODA .
