Kitűnő”
Location: 4 mins walking distance from NTU hospital MRT which is one stop away from Taipei main station. Next to a beautiful park. Accessible to eatery, bus stops and convenience shop.Very convenient for travellers without own transport. Check-in/Check-out Experience: Very cool self check in machines. Room Comfort/Cleanliness: Extremely comfortable. Bed, pillows, lighting are comfortable. Contemporary renovation, furnishing and decorations although the building isn't new. Cleanliness tip top. Amenities/Facilities: Love the Japan brand of toilet bowl. Shower area is separated from toilet, with a bathtub outside which is next to basin and make up area. I like this design as it's time saving for 2. Disposable razor, toothbrush, earplug etc are very good in quality. Service/Staff: Staffs are helpful, attentive and polite. Value for Money: Yes. Overall Rating: An underrated hotel Pros: Near to MRT location, convenient, value for money, tranquil. Cons: The common problem faced by most of the 2 to 3 stars hotel: Sound proof problem. Traffic can be heard especially during working hour but after office hour it's quiet unless there were inconsiderate guests. Additional Comments: 是一間有誠意,有規模的酒店。下次還會再來!
A property that is located not far from Ximending and taipei main station”
Overall, I had a pleasant stay here. Although there was some communication issues since not all staff can understand English well, overall staff in this property are attentive and willing to help. Room is fine and clean, although it is quite small. Since the room is on the top floor, there is a small balcony where I could go out. Apart from that, there is another window in my room, but I could not see anything from that window. So I am not sure if it's worth to book a room with view/window. The main issue I had is the internet connection. Wifi is super weak, so I could hardly use any wifi there.
Good”
As a solo traveler, CHECK inn Taipei Main Station was a perfect choice. The hotel's prime location made it incredibly easy to explore the city, with excellent access to public transport. The room was modern, clean, and well-equipped, providing everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with directions and recommendations. Overall, CHECK inn offered great value and a hassle-free experience, making it an ideal base for any solo adventurer visiting Taipei.
Room is great, the rest is poor”
My room was recently renovated, well done, monochromatically soothing (very competent interior designer), everything quite high-end. No complaint with the room. It's the lack of amenities. Normally, if this were a Kindness hotel, they would have devoted 1st & 2nd floors to provide amenities such as laundry, lounge, dining, etc. Instead, the operator maximize the room counts, they have over 100 rooms on 8 floors with a small floorplate, so it's about maximizing profits, not comfort and hospitality to the guests, which just about said it all. My room "rent" came without breakfast (WHAT? and they want NT$300 per person, you got to be kidding me), again that's unusual in TW and it's all about milking the guest for more money. Don't bother, there are plenty of breakfast food available nearby for next to nothing. And you can dine in the wonderful and huge city park across the street, much better than the hotel's crammed dining that doubles as lobby sitting. The 2 elevators don't talk to each other, and they stop at every floor coming and going, even when there is no one waiting for them, so plan on a long wait for them. This is a business, nothing wrong with that, except it's a hospitality establishment, and there is no hospitality that I experienced while here and I traveled the world and we stayed at 6 hotels on this trip. We are not coming back unless I can snatch a room at say, at US$60 or below, in that case, it's just a nice room for a night of comfortable sleep. BTW, the beds are VERY comfy, so is the room and bathroom. So unfortunate! If they had devoted the 2nd level to amenities like dining, restrooms, laundry, the first level, waiting, lobby, lounge with complimentary beverage, they will be able to show some hospitality and I would return again and again. As it is, I am never coming back. That's got to be very costly to a hotelier to have no or few repeat guests.
