We stayed New Years and last minute booking so the price was high due to New Years. The normal price of the accommodation is good value. We had seen all the reviews and were worried however we loved our stay. Room accommodated for 3 children, bathroom small but clean. Breakfast was excellent. Location walking distance to sound of music tour. Overall a good stay.

Clean hotel with good access to public transport”
I got it a bit pricey at 78 euro. The hotel is located near to local tram station and is easily accessible. Rooms were clean and good. The staff was helpful and polite. You can book it without a worry

Nice location”
It was close to the station and most of the tourist spots. I reached there by walk easily. Bathroom was nice but it’s kind of old floor so I could hear the noise with every step in my room. If you are not sensitive with that, it’s not a big deal.

room was clean and tidy , quite at night. transportation not so good reception was not so clear about my booking . I had already paid all the thing i need at agoda, but he insist that i should pay cash for the room and breakfast. after my clarification , finally i actually found out i had paid online and nothing need to pay for cash. breakfast was so simple and the food provided was cheap in price that can be easily bought from supermarket at low price, however the breakfast costs at 8.9 euro . a little bit expansive.

Cancelled booking and left us stranded”
Hotel cancelled our booking less than 12 hours before arrival and did not make this clear to us at all. They really let us down.

BED BUCKS!!!!”
ONE FAIL ON THIS PLACE. THEY HAVE BED BUCKS IN THE ROOMS. WE STAYED IN ROOM 306 AND HAD TO LEAVE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. WE FOUND OUT THAT IT CRAWLS WITH BUCKS READY TO SUCK YOUR BLOOD. NO RESPONCE FORM STAFF AFTER MAILING TO THEM ABOUT THE COMPLAIN. WE HOPE NOT THE BUCKS GOT THEM SELF A RIDE TO YOUR OWN HOME.

very bad an fraudulent we must pay at the arrival, it is very curious we payed more than the booking confirmation was there are no person with Germain speaking the room was very dirty and animals bugs were there it was really the worst hotel of my life

Not worth it ”
The hotel is being refurbished as renovated. No restaurant facility. Room are just average. No in room basox facilities like kettle, hair dryer , tea coffee. No lift. So had to carry our bags ourselves till third floor. Room wasn't cleaned properly. Bottles were found under the bed.

Too far from Salzburg hbf (10 mins walk) use bus only. No kettle for hot water. But other are ok.

The only thing good about the hotel is the location and very basic cleanliness. There is no desk service no person avaliable for contact except between 3 to 8 pm, no room service, no baggage counter, no facilities in room like glasses or cutlery. House keeping is hopeless. All they do is change sheets and towels. Pillows are old and flat. Basically if you are goin off season do not expect any service

No one in reception from 6 pm till 3 pm the next day. Housekeeper entered the room without permission!! It is mentioned there is air conditioning, but there isn’t! No elevator in the hotel!

This hotel location only 3 station from main train bus station, breakfast was very simple, and the reception very rule to check in the room, the hotel don’t have the lift , and the room completely different look for the website picture, the mattress covers and towels very dirty,in the night time very noisy can’t sleep, furniture very old and very noisy bed , the mound in the shower room

We only stayed a night and it “worked.” I would call this a “budget hotel” in Salzburg: no frills, basic necessities, fine for an overnight. They have tried to renovate it which makes the rooms more comfortable and while newer, the bathrooms weren’t as clean as I would hope but again, it worked. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it but as I said, it worked for a short stay. It was a easy and walkable distance (2km) to the sights and there was a bus in front if you prefer that which were both upsides.

More like a backpackers special”
Not convienent location to restaurants or shops. No coffee or water in room. Had WiFi but really limited. Parking tight and was difficult to get out in the am. Had AC but didn’t work. Too pricey for the room. The shower had good pressure and hot water.

Very dirty with lots of dust under beds,very dirty carpeted floors and carpets. Hidden charges that we had to pay despite everything should be paid according to Agoda. Some guests even had to pay those ”city taxes” in cash. Worst place so far in Europe.

What a joke!”
Do not even bother! The man at reception ignored us for 5+ mins while he was on the phone chatting away. He then tried to double charge us! There’s 5 spots for parking that are always full. There is no lift so good luck if you have luggage! We literally walked in to our room and booked another hotel within 10 mins of getting there. I wouldn’t sleep at that hotel if you paid me a million dollars! Trust me, don’t be cheap! Pay a little extra and steer clear of this hideous excuse for a hotel

Good for 1 night”
Very simple hotel, 20min from center, small room, simple bathroom. It was clean but hallways were Old. Reception was alright, breakfest was good. Its an older hotel. couldnt figure how to work the AC, they had no ice avialable. It was ok for 1 night.

Stayed four times, never going back”
I was so disappointed with our recent stay at the Itzlinger Hof. I have worked and stayed in many hotels and have never been treated with such contempt and outright rudeness as we encountered on this stay. The double room was booked for 2 adults under my name with breakfast. When we arrived at 9pm, as indicated, the reception was closed but there was a room key with my name on the door, this was great but when we reached the room we booked, there was 1x duvet, 1x towel and 1x pillow, not wanting to be a bother we made do with what we had. In the morning my partner went to breakfast and was interrogated by the one female (and only) staff member we saw the whole time. I came down to sort this out and was told first breakfast was not included. I was then told it only was included for one person because I had booked the room for one person. I was told that it is booked for 2 adults but I didn't put the other name in. No apology was given and giving €6 change for €10 was another big hassle.

I booked this hotel for my business collagues, and They were complaining 1. Wifi coverage very limited 2. Bed quality bad 3. Heather not working well 4. Restaurant for breakfast only
