Very recommendable hotel near the Vatican”

I was travelling with my parents for an anniversary and we had an excellent experience at the Visconti Palace. They were staying in the 7th Heaven Suite which features separate living and bedroom, a very large bathroom, and a rooftop balcony running over the full length of the suite. The decor is quite up-to-date but the most positive experience was a very nice fruit platter and a bottle of very decent prosecco in a freshly filled ice bucket upon arrival, and a second bottle on the following day which was my father's birthday. I had booked a lower category double room but was upgraded to a nice double room on their (7th) floor with wooden flooring and a decent balcony as well. On the same floor is a quite large rooftop terrace with nightly BBQ and live music but it stops at 11pm and does not by any means disturb the stay. The breakfast buffet is good quality and sufficient choice. The location is excellent for sightseeing

reasonable hotel at convenient location”

This hotel is on a good location near vatican city, both the vatican and Castello dell angelo are in walking distance. to reach the historic city centre it's a nice one hour walk, taxi about euro and the metro is almost around the corner. The patio is a big plus, you can sit outside for a drink or a bite, although the prices are mutch higher as compared to the small restaurants just around the corner. The staff is friendly and helpfull, checking in and out was very fast and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

Great hotel - and extra welcome for an early arrival”

We arrived early (about 10:30 am) after an overnight flight from the States to Rome - worried that we would have to leave our bags and wonder about for a few hours before our hotel room was ready. How terrific it was that they not only had a room ready and were ready to allow us to go into it, but did not charge us extra. What lovely service - and a terrific way to take a nap and then hit Rome running! Thanks to the amazing staff - including the recommendation of the fantastic gelato place just across the street (way better than the more well known and reviewed tourist places across the river). It's just a bit out of the way for the Vatican or main tourist attractions, but we liked that because it was a quieter neighborhood. This also was the hotel where we transferred directly to our cruise. Could not have been easier or more pleasant.

Lovely hotel, great location”

Modern hotel in an ideal location for visiting Rome. Rooms are spacious, clean with modern decor. Good selection at breakfast with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Also the hotel is not far from a Metro station, which helps getting round Rome if you tire of walking!

Good Condition but far away from MRT”

To be honest, it's not a good idea to walk about 800 meters from MRT to hotel, especially we still carry our luggage. But, Visconti is pretty close to Vatican city and it make us visit Vatican 3 times. We booked premium room, it's newly renovated and very conmortable.

Great hotel in a perfect location”

I stayed at Visconti Palace for 3 nights and four days. The staff are very friendly (English speaking) and always happy to help. The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean. We stayed on the 7th floor which meant we were literally metres aways from the rooftop bar - perfect! Location wise Visconti is a good choice as it is walking distance from most sites such as the Vatican and the main shopping stores. If I had to pick something I disliked it would be the breakfast. However this could just be down to me being picky! I felt that there could have been a bigger better selection for breakfast. Again this may be because I'm vegetarian, thus less choice. Overall I would rate Visconti 8/10.

Roman Noliday”

Enjoyed our stay in that area,still close to Rome City attractions and others on that side of the Tiber. The Airport bus just around the corner was a huge bonus and the breakfast was also great. My only small complaint was the bed was very firm, but not a big problem.

Best hotel I ever found in Rome”

I had just returned from a not so great cruise. I exited the metro at Lepanto and it started raining. I got soaked in the five minutes it took to walk to the hotel. I was not in the greatest mood, but the staff was so welcoming that I immediately was relaxed. The room was beautiful and comfortable, I highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, nice staff, rooms are "eh"”

the hotel location was great and the breakfast spread was more than i've come to expect from "continental breakfast." the staff was reasonably helpful as well. the room, however, left quite a bit to be desired. most disappointing was the queen-size bed formed by squeezing two twin beds together leaving an uncomfortable crack between the two. the bed was otherwise very uncomfortable even when sleeping on our respective sides of the bed. pillows were wafer thin as well. woke up very sore every morning. i'd probably stay elsewhere on account of this, notwithstanding the otherwise satisfactory service and amenities.

I would heartily endorse the notion anyone has of going to this Hotel for a short break. It is well located, modern, clean, has very friendly staff and a really good breakfast as well. Five Star really.

We returned to this hotel on our last night because we really happy with the location and clean room. Good to have a big buffet breakfast too. Enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to family and friends.

Great location, very clean and comfortable”

We stayed at the Visconti Palace hotel for 5 nights during July. We found our room nice and clean just as you would expect. It was a close to the Vatican (10mins) and the Spanish steps (25mins). I would recommend this hotel to all and would stay there on my next visit to roma.

Excellent hotel, greta location”

First visit to Rome and although I thought the charges for a single room were on the heafty side, I had a very memorable stay thanks in no small way to the comfort of this hotel and the friendly staff. Since I walked everywhere, at one point I needed scissors and some band aids. Both were provided by the front desk. One downside though, coffee at 5 euros on the roof garden was a bit steep and stopped me from visiting there more frequently than once

the place is semi new. part of the room is new. part is not so new. but the room was ok. a bit small. it was a clean place. staff was ok. about 7 minutes from the spanish stairs. just cross the bridge and you are in the right area. breakfast was great. a lot of options.

Great hotel, modern and clean, friendly”

We were very pleased with this hotel, it was a good location for getting around to both ends of town, easy walking to the river. The staff were helpful, especially as we didn't speak Italian. The breakfast was high quality with plenty of variety, the coffee was superb even though it was simply filtered.

Lovely hotel, great location, value for money”

Very well located hotel, helpful staff, reasonable sized room. Bathroom has drying line which is handy if you are staying for a few days. The hotel offers a tourist information station and will organise any tour requested. We did the Pompeii trip, which although was a very long day, was well worth it.

New and modern younger business clientele”

Very bright, clean well run hotel. Spacious lobby with pleasant seating areas to meet, talk or check email. Guests seemed mainly young business types; location not in tourist area, but only a 15 minute walk across the bridge to get to Piazza de Navona. Rooms small, nice bathrooms. Staff helpful.

Fne hotel”

one question which i could not get a clear idea before i went there was to how to get to the hotel from the airport. i took the train from the airport to the centre termini station. it costed e14 each for two persons. then i took the metro and then walked. it is best to take a cab which actually works out cheapest if you take the cab.

Overall Pleasant Stay”

We really enjoyed our three nights at the Visconti Palace. Our 5th floor room was ultra clean and comfortable,and more spacious than we anticipated. The bathroom was also clean, spacious and had nice amenities. One slight complaint about breakfast, which is served in elegant fashion in a large dining room, is that they might include an egg option as added protein, to counter all the sweets and starches.
