Wonderfully relaxed stay ina beautiful location ”

It was like a step back in time. Quiet location set in acres in beautifully kept lawns. Charming owners and staff who were so attentive. And all just an hour or so away from the bustle of Saigon. Definitely going back

Get a-way from the big city”

I go to the Les Ham~ to relax on the weekend from time to time. It has great staff, pool and food. It features home-made style Vietnamese cuisine. Very tasty and healthy. The rooms are surrounded by a beautiful South East Asian garden with ponds. No mosquitoes that I saw, so they take care of that. For me, the pool is one of the best resort pools around HCMC. Very eloquent old style pool. The place is old, as as the owners and many of the guests. For me, I like that. HCMC is turning into a Singapore style mess with every street in the downtown area under permanent construction. The Les Ham~ harks back to a simpler time.

Rest, and great food”

This was my second stay at this resort. A very quiet room in a beautiful garden. The owners/mangers are very personable and friendly. It is easy to talk to other guests, or if you prefer to be on your own, then it is OK as well. They have one of the better resort pools around. It is a bit far from the city, but that is what one would be looking for there.

Classic pool and resort”

Les Hameaux de L'orient Residence is a very peaceful place to stay. It is well off into the country side. The food was very good. It has lovely gardens and a classic large swimming pool for laps or family play. The staff is very helpful. The rooms are older, but clean and well kept. They loan bicycles so you can go into town for snacks and lunch.

A tranquil paradise”

A lovely relaxing weekend. The superb food came regularly, it was plentiful and varied. The owners are a lovely old French Vietnamese couple who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Its an incredibly quiet hotel, with very little in the surrounding area. But perfect if you just want to relax for a bit.

The owners pay a lot of attention to their hosts. The only default is WiFi, it works very well in restaurant, also for room N1, but is very poor in room N5.

Good place for relaxing”

My family with a kid 3 years old spend time at weekend here, there is fresh atmosphere, very large place and big swimming pool also. The breakfast is just so so, no more 2 options. The dinner is okay with worth of 220k VND. My kid love this place and we can go back in the future.

Payment Dispute”

Upon checking out I was told to make payment. I informed them that I had paid via Agoda and showed them the electronic payment voucher. They were hesitant to accept that as payment. Eventually I left leaving my contact phone number as I was rushing the airport to board my flight. This is the second time I came across as an ugly incident. I hope Agoda could iron out this issue with the respective hotel as such incident could cause adverse inconvience other travelers using your services. Thank You

Family-oriented hotel in the fantastic nature”

The owners are welcoming and the foods are great. There is a lot of nature in the spacious garden. My son was so excited to see swans on the pond. Also, my daughter was astonished to see the walking peacocks in the garden. The swimming pool was clean and large. This is a truly perfect place to spend relaxing holidays with your family.

Relaxing trip”

Location is not far from city. Suitable for people who want to relax their mind. Facilities is not new, but very clean. Staffs are nice and friendly. Owner is also very nice and supporting. I love the time I ride around, breath fresh air and listen Bird singing. So relax!!!! ❤❤❤

This property was just what we need on our arrival to Vietnam. It is about one hour drive from the airport but they have transfer readily available on request. It is in the country with a beautiful resort setting and a French feel. Rooms were quiet and clean. Marcel and Mai were awesome. Thank you so much Mai for the very informative tour of your gardens. Will forever remember our stay at the Hameaux de L ‘Orient

Solitude ”

Best place for true solitude, only 45 minutes outside of HCMC near Cu Chi tunnels. Free bicycles to ride around countryside. Peace and Quiet. If you are looking for anything else this isn't your place. Will definitely be coming back.

Quiet spacious oasis near Cu Chi tunnels with french & vietnamese inluences”

Very knowledgeable hosts who are french Vietnamese and have a great love of food and their surroundings.... Great pool in stunning gardens set in 19 acres of rural Vietnam . Great place to stay in the week for a peaceful stay. Food was good although the choice limited and mealtimes fixed....best wine we had in Vietnam.

Lovely safe setting”

We had three children with us all under 7 and the facilities were great. So much land to run around and a great pool. The food was good but obviously Vietnamese but breakfast was eggs bread cereal so the kids enjoyed that for sure.

I found the food overpriced for what you could get but as there wasn't anything else in the local area unless you had a translator it would be difficult to eat elsewhere. A delightful 'resort' in the middle of nowhere near the Cu Chi tunnels or out of Saigon. Staff were very friendly and the swimming pool was clean.

I would rate the facility 2.5 stars as it has been built for sometime no upgrading recently. However what made different here was the staff who are friendly and very helpful. It might be suitable for elderly people who would enjoy a laid back life style

Simply the best resort i have gone so far”

We stayed there for 1 night and planning for next time. The view is beautiful , quite, you can have a great weekend here, hiding from the crowded city. The owners is very kind, they're really care about the food ( organic, delicious). The salt-water pool is very clean ( the cleanest i have ever tried). The food is served at fixed-time ( Breakfast: 7-9am, Dinner: 6:30 pm). If you like nature and quiteness, you will never regret!

My new second home - Love this place!!”

I chose this hotel after many hours of research, and in my opinion, it is the ONLY place to stay if you are either; visiting the Cu Chi tunnels; wanting a great starting point for your Vietnamese adventure; looking for some R&R in a paradise location outside of the city; hoping for a quiet, romantic, laid-back resort in HCM. Transfers from the airport were arranged by the hotel, a very friendly taxi driver Hai was waiting for me and for 30 USD each way, he got me safely through the crazy roads of Saigon without incident. He speaks almost no English, but that's what Google Translate is for right? I recommend you download the Vietnamese language pack before you arrive in Vietnam. I agree with the review by Kai that when you first arrive off the plane from the UK late at night, the remote location of the hotel, and the handing over of your passport at the gates is a bit daunting, however after this initial concern, we felt entirely safe and secure for the remainder of our stay, (you get your passport back when you check out). After being shown to our room, a large spacious and clean room, with 2 queen size beds, we wandered over to the restaurant building, sports was being shown on the projector and there we found some other guests and the incredibly friendly and accommodating resort Manager, Thierry. After a few beers, we called it a night and slept soundly. The next day we awoke to what can only be described as paradise! This resort is beautiful, picture postcode views at every turn! We enjoyed a lovely breakfast every day, followed by a meander around the beautiful and mature gardens, taking photos, swimming in the lovely L shaped pool and soaking up the relaxing atmosphere. Lunch and evening meals can be ordered every day at reasonable prices, the food is plentiful and all delicious, a generous serving of fruit with every meal (Watermelons, Papaya, Bananas and Lychee mostly). Whilst the menu is decided for you, it changes every day, so we tried various Vietnam

Regrettably only stayed for one night!”

We arrived late (8pm) by taxi and admittedly I wondered where on earth as I was taking my newly wed. It was pitch dark and the road was sometimes narrower than the taxi, we had caught a taxi from HCMC District 1 which took approx 1.5hrs (if you use a reputable company this will be max 1,000,000vnd, ours was 750,000vnd with Mailinh, vinasun should be similar). On arrival the security guard with zero English asked for my passport in exchange for the room key, i didn't like this arrangement as I watched him place it in a safe and realised I didn't have a choice. He gestured to follow him as he hopped on a bicycle and rode into the darkness, our taxi driver 'Tham' who was looking out for us called us back and swiftly followed the guard to the room. The room in N block was large and spotless, it wasn't luxury but had good A/C, a fan, good sized shower room, cupboard, desk and makeshift safe. We walked around to the restaurant area not expecting to find anything on offer, this is where we met the owners the most beautiful elderly Vietnamese couple who couldn't have been more accommodating. After a brief chat and a beer they proceeded to provide us both with a traditional 3 course meal at the most reasonable price. After dinner they explained they had a scooter/moped they could lend us the next day to go to the tunnels. After dinner we had nice soak in the large swimming pool before retiring to our nice cool room. We headed for breakfast around 8am, when again the owner offered us the room until whatever time our taxi came and also the scooter to visit the tunnels, we accepted their offer of the scooter which they had waiting for us at reception along with a road map with directions. When we returned from the tunnels they gave us extra towels and told us to enjoy the pool until our lift arrived which we had pre arranged with the night befores driver. Note. Don't be afraid to take scooter to tunnels as the roads in this area are very quiet! All in all a fan

Perfect R & R Getaway”

This was a wonderful place to stay on all levels! The hotel staff go over and above to make certain you have an enjoyable stay. The food was outstanding, the room was large, clean, and quiet. The property is very beautiful and tranquil. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels or just looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
