The reception staff were rude and aggressive, the hotel does not respect the vouchers of Agoda, the rooms are old and in bad condition, the only thing that meet the expectation was the dining room personal

Staff at the fine breakfast were helpful but the front desk, the business manager, the booking manager were curt when not rude, unresponsive. The food one could order in the lobby was very good, the service was terrible-- same issue. And this has been written up about this hotel in published, hard copy reviews-- so this problem is nothing new and they do nothing about it.

We stayed at the Mount Zion five years ago and it was tired then. The architecture, design and location are great but everything else about the hotel needs updating, the fabric and furnishings and facilities. The staff were mostly young and inexperienced or elderly and tired (lazy). They were disinterested and certainly not on their toes, even when a party of six people got stuck in a lift. The plastic keys to our room did not work so we were given a metal key, for which they took a deposit. The shaver plug did not work and the front fell off the safe. No attempt was made to remedy these during our seven night stay. There was a hole in the duvet cover which was changed the following day. Plenty of dust. The gardens and swimming pool area were redeeming features as were the terraces overlooking the old city. Such potential wasted.
