This is a nice hotel, but it needs refurbishment. I got electroshock from a light switch. The hotel is located in an area where construction work for Mumbai's new metro takes place. Otherwise the location in Fort is wonderful. However, at present there is a lot of noise and heavy contruction work going on. The staff and breakfast in the hotel are really good though.

Residency Fort Hotel is located in the area where at present Mumbai's new metro line is being build. This means there is a lot of noise caused by the construction work. The rooms are nice, but in need of refurbishment. I almost got electroshock when I switched out the lamp next to my bed. After that all electricity in the room went down and I was scared to death. However, the staff is very kind and the breakfast really good for that price.

3 Star Hotel with a 5 Star Hospitality (except location) !”

It was a great pleasure to stay at this Hotel; The room might be little squeeze but clean enough; Bathroom toiletries was ok; The welcome snacks & drinks was a great please as we were tired having back2back flights from DAC-CCU-BOM! The breakfast area was little bit cozy & basic; The transparent windows may give to ‘close to the nature’ feel! but the WiFi speed needs improvement. but the hospitality was unforgettable; everyone was extreme helpful; We received help on almost everything (UBer, Washing, food, gifts, many more); The location was a bit awkward; it’s a totally commercial area; shops around the hotel is related to office stationary only! try to avoid the laundry attached to the Hotel; try restaurant savory; Lastly, there was a metro rail construction adjacent the Hotel; Hence, noise was there; I believe it is a temporary situation!

Staff and service obliterate any negative that mind come to mind! The staff treat you like family, initially I was sceptical with the attitude of exuberance but later realised that it is actually the way they are! Staff is mostly at duty almost round the clock(sadly fir them!) so familiar faces make you feel even more comfortable. There is clearly a good team at work here! Breakfast was a good spread and well laid out, we were a little disadvantaged with the access being hindered due to metro works and there is significant noise at night.

Pros 1. A nice place to stay in South Mumbai 2. A very courteous staff, especially the Manager Mr Peter 3. The staff will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable, no issue about early check-in or late check-out 4. A very refreshing complementary welcome drink with eatables 5. Complementory breakfast is just superb, Indian as well as continental 6. Complementary massage chair available if you so wish 7. 24 hrs running hot & cold water 8. Nice linen & bathroom accessories Cons 1. Rooms are little small but will do for a couple 2. Check your room intercom is working, well in time 3. Check your room doorbell is working properly 4. Look out for loose electrical wires if staying with younger kids Overall I will give 9/10 go for it

Wonderful Hotel at reasonable price! ”

This was my first time in Mumbai, and was a little overwhelmed with the Mumbai Mayhem but got use to it after a couple of days. We arrived after midnight and were greeted at the hotel with some refreshments upon arrival. I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean modern style hotel at a very reasonable rate. Location is walking distance to all necessary tourist attractions, restaurants etc. The Staff ( I would like to thank them all individually but can’t remember all their names) are unreal ! Soooo friendly, warm and helpful. Everything is done with a smile and nothing is a problem they went above and beyond at all times. Concierge will arrange anything you need from Uber’s, taxis, tours, SIM cards, money exchange, laundry, suggest non tourist attractions and restaurants etc. Breakfast is good. The rooms are very clean, bed was very comfortable housekeeping every day was nice My only advise is upgrade to a Club Room, as the Deluxe Rooms are very small.

Amazing stay ”

Amazing hotel deserves more than 3 stars much nicer than some 4/5 star hotels I’ve stayed in India! Really nice friendly and helpful staff from not just the reception- everyone you see has a smile and a chat. Got a free upgrade to a spacious beautiful room on the top with the most comfortable bed ever. Very luxe. Noise wasn’t a problem for me. Breakfast was great. I went for a stroll and ended up at india gate in about 25 mins. The option to pay a half day for late check out before my midnight flight and free coffee in the lounge was the cherry on top of this perfect stay. Already recommended to my friends :)

Had a pleasant stay with Good service. Complementary Breakfast was good. With few tables for breakfast, the guests were managed very well. Although the room was small, it was Clean and good value for money considering the location of this hotel.

Best place to stay in Mumbai”

This little hotel is great. Just don't tell anyone else! Lovely staff. Great breakfast. Great location. Rooms are a bit small but who cares. They also have a nice group of taxi drivers they work with who don't rip you off or drive like nutters to the airport.

Service, service, service ...”

After 60 days travelling in India, The Residency Hotel Fort was our last stop. We have been in many excellent hotels and home stays, I am glad to say that The Residency Hotel Fort was the best! The big difference was service. the stuff at Residency is just looking how to be of help. For example, they have a very nice lounge where many travelers who already checked out just hang around and wait for the flight out, and in the meantime enjoy fantastic hospitality including free latte, massage, cold drinks, big library, and support of the team. Also, rooms are very clean and the additions offered large rooms, huge TVs, all marble bathroom etc. Book early as they tend to fill up!

Residency Hotel Fort is an oasis in central Mumbai”

03/2019 - Had a fabulous time at the Residency Hotel Fort, an a/c oasis in the heart of Mumbai. Just step out of the hotel into the real Mumbai. Chose this hotel as it is only a couple of minutes by taxi from the Green Gate access to the cruise terminal and stayed here before and after our cruise. Accommodation, facilities and staff were all we could have expected. If you need any local information just ask Gopal. We stayed in one of the modern Club rooms which are located in an annex a couple of doors away, but this was not a problem.

Lovely hotel. The staff were brilliant, very knowledgeable and helpful. Recommended a driver who took us around for 3 hours, which was a great way to see Mumbai. The breakfast is great. Excellent place to stay.

The people make the difference”

I spent two weeks at Residency Hotel Fort, separated by a two-week trip to Sri Lanka. It gets my high rating primarily because of how fabulous the staff was. Stayed in two different rooms - both good for the price. Breakfast was great, both food and staff. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. Construction on the underground is going on right next to the hotel, so one has to be prepared for some noise from that. Lots of little market vendors around, several good restaurants within a couple blocks. Cabs always handy, and main train terminals easy walks, so no problems getting around. But back to the hotel - really was pleased with my stay there, and would certainly stay there again if I return to Mumbai.

3 star that is better than 5 star ”

This hotel was clean and provided us with more than what was expected. We arrived at about 1.30am and were warmly welcomed and offered welcome drinks. The hotel is clean. Offers good wifi. Great location. Breakfast is good and the restaurant is pleasant to sit in. Staff at this hotel are outstanding!

Fantastic hotel with fantastic customer service”

Out of all my stays around the world, this hotel definitely has the best customer service. The care was excellent. The staff not only allowed me early check-in (and I arrived 5 am!), but also gave me an upgrade. They will provide you advice from A-Z - it was very encouraging in my first time in India. The upgraded hotel room I got was beautiful, wooden walls and good AC, and wonderful marble bathroom. This was excellent choice which made my stay in Mumbai great. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who stays in Mumbai.

Great hotel in Fort”

Amazing hotel, service is outstanding. Perfect location. Great value for money and budget. The only area of improvement would be the small breakfast area but the service at this hotel was so fantastic, the breakfast wait was not minded.

Great hotel in South MUMBAI”

We booked the two Club rooms at the ground floor...one for us and one for my daughter. The rooms were very nicely decorated, clean and spotless. Right from the check in at the reception to the check out was great. Thanks to the reception staff for upgrading our daughter's room to club room. The best service ever in a hotel. The breakfast was resonably good......had what we wanted to start the day. I must commend the staff for the service...namely the Cook Ballu who always went out of his way to satisfy all the guests. I was surprised to see that tea, coffee and little snacks were free throughout the day. I travel around the world every time; but the service here is unbelievable. Hotel is well located in South Mumbai close to Gateway of India and Taj Mahal Palace Hotel. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and looking forward to going back there in the very near future. THANKS RESIDENCY FORT MANAGEMENT AND STAFF for the pleasant stay.

Nice clean small hotel”

Another great hotel, first you meet the helpful, friendly staff with welcome water (much needed) and bag of chips. Next we are shown to our room. Very clean and modern. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. The buffet breakfast serving plenty of Western and Indian choices was probably the best we had in all of India. We really liked the area of town we were in. Right in the center of the things we wanted to see. We didn’t have to travel too far to the Gate of India, or the beautiful UNESCO train station. Everything was exactly like shown in the pictures. They are putting in a metro so it was quite noisy at night but I understand once that is in (and they build things very quickly) you will be able to go directly from the airport to the hotel. What a great convenience that will be. We would definitely recommend this hotel and if we are ever again in Mumbai (which I hope we are) we won’t look for another hotel.
