This place is a gem in the city of udaipur. I came with a 15 months old baby and my wife to celebrate our anniversary. And this place turned out to be better then my expectations. It's a location is perfect , a little away from city but not too far I.e 4 km . It has its own little lake which attracts birds and animals and excellent views of the aravali ranges. It's had its very own deer park and deer come there for their evening feed at around 4 and my baby loved it. The food and quality of service has been excellent. Food was one of my concerns as I was traveling with my little boy and it didn't disappoint me. Staff is courteous and helpful. My baby is one naughty kid ,he broke couple of stuff in the room but I wasn't questioned or charged by hotel. The breakfast spread is nice and menu has lots of options . I would not hesitate to recommend this to any one for a stay in udaipur.

location is great, ideal place for those looking for a quiet time and not far from the city centre. room amenities are okay. F&B staff is very good , and the food is also a highlight. front desk and security staff not up to date.

Peaceful & a good weekend getaway”

It was pretty nice as the place is peaceful with good view. Also, the weather was really nice & it was raining which added to the fun. A good place to getaway for the weekend. Though the roads to the hotel need improvement as the roads are uneven & is a turnoff while coming to the hotel. Rest the hotel is good. :)

We spent two nights in this hotel,enjoyed the nice morning with deers and monkeys in the small jungle steps away from our room.However, the room furnishings and amenities are quite old. The Hotel is more like a suburb resort for the people to escape from city rather than a hotel for sightseeing visiters.By the lake there're much more better choices at the same (even less)rate.

We were upgraded to Deluxe Suite which is a huge house in itself , three Rooms, Dining and Kitchen. It was huge for two of us however Staff ensured we were cosy despite heavy rains by serving hot food and drinks in our room while we spent our evening curling with books and TV. Later we were transferred to Deluxe rooms which is new block. I found them really good, bcos of the rustic Decor. Especially good for Couples. The view from Rooms are good and one can spot Egrets, Peacocks and Deer. Swimming Pool is also decent.

shikharbaadi is a great place and well connected to the city. if you are looking at a place for a quiet holiday and to be with nature and still have all modern amenties, this is the place. a touch of history coupled with nature adds to the charm of the place. chill out with a beer in the afternoon with chitals and peacocks and an occasional egret and kingfisher...

Old world charm but not a great location!”

The hotel property is very nice and expansive. It has an old world charm from the days where it was used as a hunting lodge. All around us we got to see deers, peacocks and monkeys with which my child was delighted. Service was good all around. The pool was small. I thought the rooms could do with some renovations especially the bathrooms as both look worn out. We had a wonderful time staying at this hotel but it can be disappointing for some one who expects an ultra modern and chic looking place. The reception manager was exceptionally helpful in guiding us around the city The main drawback i thought was the location of the hotel which is remote, but an ideal hangout if one wants to stay in the hotel and relax or read.

the staff were very accomodating and would bend over backwards on every whim that we requested. they were very helpful. especiallt the front of house staff at reception.
