While the Silveroaks is a bit old and a bit worse for wear, the view from our room must be the best in Rotorua, overlooking a geyser and mud pools. the staff were very helpful and obliging, and our room was a good size. It was great value for money

Not very satisfied ”

I paid $160 for 4 people and the only thing I liked was the fact that there were five beds. The motel is very budget and the cold water in the kitchen didn't work. When someone downstairs used the shower after midnight , it was soooo loud that it sounded like the shower was on in our motel, I even went to get up and check. The wifi wasn't even working and was one of the main reasons I chose this motel. Staff were friendly enough, but in general I would not want to go back here again. Please upgrade your rooms , it gives off a very olden day vibe in the worst way

No attention to detail”

This hotel paid no attention to detail. The free wifi was down when we checked in, but we did manage to use it later in the day. The staff made it seem as if serving us was a stress and there was nothing in the room - No info, only three towels and two teaspoons for a room that slept 4.

They do not offer the facilities stated in their website. After asking for upgrade, unfortunately there were no places. I have asked refund and the manager lied saying that the unit had the facilities lacking because he was not ready to give refund. I have proved the lie sending another person to that unit to take photos. Very unfortunate.

This by far has to be the WORST accomodation I can honestly say I have ever stayed in . mold on every single wall , furniture roughly 80years old . completely unsafe for any child to stay. Pool was nearly boiling temperature and had no sign at all telling you how hot it actually was . Far too hot foebaju adult to even put legs in let alone having a child swim . beds were very uncomfortable and firm . cheap TV that hardly worked . Must stress to anyone who is even thinking of staying here to not pay online and wait to see for yourself because we found out the hard way that a refund would not be possible . wouldn't even pay $20 to stay here and honestly think health and safety standards are deffinatley not being reached and should be looked into !!!

Dishes, cutlery and some areas of the apartment were not clean. Great location near to all major tourist attractions.

Clean rooms.”

Rooms were clean. No remote for the tv and manual controls were broken the volume kept going up even though I tried lowering it down. Phone broken do had to walk down to reception to ask for a remote but they didnt have any. Staff was friendly and helpful and showed me the trick on how to use the manual control for the tv. Location is good. Short drive to anywhere.

Toilet did not flush well. TV in bedroom had broken, disconnected aerial. Office was informed but nothing was done. Hair on bathroom floor from previous guests. Could not get Wi Fi which we paid $10 for 24hours as there were too many users and was too slow to connect.

Good value for money but not very clean”

We were looking for a pet friendly accommodation and were happy to find the Silver Oaks Heritage. The man at the reception was lovely and very friendly. However, the cleanliness in the rooms is rather disappointing. Lots of stains on the floors, dust on the shelves etc. If it was more clean it would be great value for money.

We stayed for 5 days. Location is great, it is located in a nice and quiet place. I found 4 spiders on the wall. I found a piece of fried chicken next to the bed. They could clean a little bit better, the bathroom ceiling was full of bugs and cobwebs. That can be easily fixed. Staff was nice. About the free wifi, you have to go every night to the counter and ask for a voucher. Overall, it was a good experience. Bedrooms are comfortable, all furniture is well organized. It was just the cleanliness that turned me down a little bit. I will come back, and maybe next time just point that out at the counter.

We were disappointed at the facilities as two power points did not work. The toilet leaked and you got wet feet. There was no where to wash up dishes. The exterior stairs were mouldy and slippery when wet. Also no exterior lighting on the stairs.

Many facilities simply not available”

TV did not work - they gave us another one - it was not connected properly and was unwatchable - all channels pixelated - some channels inaccessible Lightbulbs missing - no light over mirror, no main light, light above bed unusable (unsafe) by their own admission No compendium so no information - how to ring office, where to eat, and importantly how to tune TV Dirty and extremely undermaintained - even dangerous - heated towel rail falling off the wall. Pillows not more than 50ml thick - we asked for more and were questioned why A wall heater had been left on full in our room - the day was 30+ degrees so it was like an oven in our room when we arrived about 5,30 pm - it took them more than 3 hours to come up with solutions (or not). By that time we had lost the opportunity for a pleasant evening doing what we wanted in our own time - it was almost time for bed. At lease the bed was comfortable (with six pillows and a fan on all night to cool us.

WORST STAY TILL DATE”

worsy stay till date I had .They don't have spa n gym facilities .And BBQ area was all broken. when we entered our room at night .There was no electricity in toilet.I don't of which era microwave was.u have to hear for 5 mins to get any food get lil bit warm.In morning ,kettle was not working.And to top it all ,on complaining,I did not like attitude of Manager there.Not at all good hospitality. NEVER NEVER make a mistake to stay there.
