Perfect room for family”

Affordability and price is perfect. Plus the location TST is best for us. They offer free towel,toothbrush and drinking water which is a big factor for people travelling on a budget. The room is very tidy they clean the room regularly. The staff are very friendly. Will definitely refer this hotel to friends and family. And will stay here again on our next visit.

This is 1 star hotel I know what to expect but was surprised how the staff handled me as customer. They are very friendly and accommodating. Room is not perfect but was good overall. Will book again when i need just a room to sleep in Hong kong.

When we arrived we were told to come back in an hour at 6pm for the room to be ready, we had pre-booked so the room should have been ready when we arrived. When we arrived at 6pm we had to then walk to another block in the building with our bags, the worker did not offer to help (we had a few bags to carry). When we got in the room the roof was leaking onto the bed. The fan did not work, we asked someone to come fix it, no one showed. The paint was falling off the walls. There was damp and mould everywhere. The En-suite was extremely small and you had to straddle the toilet to open the door. You have to sit on the toilet to shower, it is that small. The bedding was dirty (even after waiting an hour for the room to be ‘cleaned’). The ‘hotel’ is situated in Chung King mansion, basically a bit of an indoor market but renowned for drug dealing. The block itself is dirty and unkept. I would not stay here again. The hotel was offering free drinks for reviews on various platforms, I think this is how there are quite a few good reviews of this place on here. I would avoid!!

No receptionist to help. There was an instance during check in where there was one on the desk but she doesn't speak english hence no one was able to explain lock code for the door. Had to change sheets due to blood stains. no hot water. the number to call for complaints or help works but they don't answer and keeps on dropping the call. the only good thing about this place is location since its very close to mtr. but elevator going to 12th floor is super small so you will prolly have to wait 30mins on que during busy hours.

Great location, value for money”

The location of hotel is very accessible to transportations and tourist attractions. The staff/manager named Kumar is very nice and easy to talk with. The family room is small, just right for our group. The only problem is the elevator capacity is too narrow so we need to wait long. The hallway and wall must be cleaned. Overall, the hotel is recommended to travelers with low budget looking for a good place to sleep.

Mr Kumar was a great help during my stay. He was always there whenever I needed something. The guesthouse itself was always clean. I definitely recommend a stay there.

This place is easy to travel ”

If you find the place is too cheap and just only to sleep. Everyday you travel all day. I recommend this place. The good service but the elevator is too small and too long line.

This booking caused a lot of stressed from the time I get there my room was occupied which I paid thru agoda. The indian guy was so scary and gave me a lot of problems. They change their name in agoda from time to time to get bookings even if the service is not good.

I checked in 09:30 pm June 6. The receptionist was sleeping on the ground behind the reception desk. It took me between 5 to 10 minutes to wake him up. He was very unhappy .. Finally I got the keys of my room. During the following days I had to ask 4 times before I could get a receipt / proof of payment. Toilets were not flushing properly. My previous stays in low-cost guest houses / hostels of Nathan road were satisfactory. Based on these past experiences I warn travelers to avoid Strawberry Guest House.

Many Hotels in This building are managed by different types of people like Chinese, Filipino and people from India so the hospitality at your guest house may vary depending upon the traditions of your hotel manager. At the Strawberry Guest House there is a manager named Kumar who is always working to keep the place cleaned up. He is very polite and professional which seems to come from many years of experience as Hotel guest house manger. Kumar's professional hospitality adds value to your stay and is what sets the Strawberry Guest house apart from the others. Kumar handles complaints well and customer requests respectfully and courteously so you don't have to be worried about asking him for something, because of that I have decided to stay here for the most of my trip. Although the price here is a little more expensive than other guest houses it is well worth it to me because Kumar makes the place feel like home. There is a small food area with a really nice hot water machine for making food, soups, coffee and noodles, also you get to use a rice cooker and microwave. There are dishes, plates, cups and utensils available for the guest to use. I also really like that the showers are hot with good water pressure because the water in the shower is always nice and hot if you like it that way, you can also easily adjust it to a cooler temperature if you want. The rooms have many different prices and sizes so if you want something smaller or bigger its right here instead of having run around and choose a different guest house somewhere else. Strawberry guest house offers clean towels daily, as well as tissue and bathroom supplies like soap toothbrushes and toothpaste in the bathroom complimentary for you which is nice if you forget to bring yours. My room even had little slippers to wear for when you take your shoes off, adding that extra touch of hospitality. The air-conditioning works good and the rooms are clean enough to enjoy your stay. If all you need is clean sheets, a comfortable bed and a clean place to bathe you can't beat this place.”

Pros: location to attractions and transportation. Helpful staff. Good value for money. Clean. Hot and cold drinking water. Microwave for heating cheap meals from 7-11 store Cons: very small rooms. Bathroom so small everything gets wet in the shower. Location within the main building looks very scruffy.

Great Place to stay if you're on a budget and travelling alone”

There was a technical issue when I booked the hotel. And i was charged double. The staffs were so kind and assisted me in resolving the issue. This isnt my first time to go to HK, but it was my first time to travel alone. Im glad i stayed here because the staffs were friendly, accommodating, and trustworthy. I was really impressed with how they take good care of their clients especially their manager which they call 'Bi' and Ate Rosa. No wonder people who stayed here kept coming. Thank you so much!
