Location couldn't be better - a stone's throw away from Dam and there's a tram stop right across. Good walking distance from Centraal station but you can also take the tram to lessen the walk if you don't want to wheel a heavy suitcase on cobblestones. We found the staff to be friendly, helpful and polite. They greeted us every time we go in or out the hotel. Also gave us a free room upgrade without asking so that's another plus. Spacious and well-appointed room and bathroom. Really comfy bed. The Nespresso machine is nice touch. Overall a great stay and would definitely stay again.

Nice hotel, bad staff ”

Central location, comfortable rooms, but the staff created unnecessary problem because I didn’t bring the same card l made the reservation, although it was already full paid, one of the staff stared to speak rudely and trying to threats me, however not all the staff was rude.

Location is super, walking distance to all attraction places.. Very convenient. Staffs are polite and very helpful. Definitely will come back again on my next visit of Amsterdam.

In our case, an exceptionally helpful front desk staff. Best thing about the hotel. We were upgraded, but the room we went into looked like a standard 3 or 4 star small hotel room.....their "classic" room must be small indeed. Position adjacent to Dam Square very good.

Nice hotel at excellent location”

Location can't be better in Amsterdam, right on Dam square, walking distance from most of the tourist attractions as well as from central train station. Lots of restaurants all around hotel, so food never a problem. Breakfast much better as compared to normal european standard. Great front desk and very helpful staff, ready to help with everything. Stayed in Premium Room, room size big as compared to normal european standard. Overall an excellent stay for us. Only issue we encountered : the hotel information book in room mentions room service available during certain hours, but, we called up only to realize that hotel does not have any room service, even during the hrs mentioned in the hotel information book. Otherwise a highly recommended hotel for tourists and business travellers.

Very Nice Hotel, Walking Distance to central Station, They gave us complimentary champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary, The manager even went up to the room to greet us, very nice gesture, much appreciated. Thank you.

Wonderful hotel in a great location”

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this wonderfully located hotel. Hotel was just short walk from central station and shopping/pubs/restaurants. Staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Room was clean n comfortable. Def will stay here again when I next visit Amsterdam!

Perfect location”

The location was perfect, staffs was very friendly, money changer just beside this hotel, free wifi, this is the good things about this hotel. But for the design it's just average, and the most annoyed me is all cars can not stop in front of this hotel including taxi (they can stop for a while if no police at that time, but if abit long the taxi will leave you as they dont allow to stop there)

The location just perfect, the staffs was very friendly, have money changer beside this hotel, that's the good about this hotel. But the design for this hotel is standard, and no car can stop in front of the hotel, so you will feel abit rush when you check out and want to go to the airport (especially with alot of luggages) because taxi has a very limited time to stop in front of the hotel, actually they are not allowed to stop but if for only a while they can do that if there's no police at that time, but if need to wait abit long time (i.e 15mins) then the taxi will leave you, but they (maybe the taxi company) will send you the new taxi.

staff were very friendly and helpful during check in & when approached about city information & recommendations. this hotel to be excellent for our stay, right in the middle of amsterdam, close to all the tourist attractions with most comfortable beds. excellent staff that went out of their way to make sure everything was done they possible could. would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone.

its was a comfortable stay, in the heart of the city ,amsterdam is lovely and the weather was beautiful during my visit,room was very comfrtable and modern,near to madam tussaud and all other attraction in the city near to the central railways station,nice locality full of tourists

Great Hotel”

Great hotel, located nearby shopping centres, restaurants, Dam Square as well as boat piers to go around Amsterdam on canal cruise. The rooms is quite big compared to the other hotels in Amsterdam that has limited space.

Can't get closer to Dam Square than this. Surrounded by everything you need, staff are very helpful. No real facilities as the Hotel is small, although a charge back (and room service) with the cafe / bar next door is quite convenient. Would not book through Agoda again as had several problems, ended up paying a lot more at the Hotel, would book direct.

Perfect location, close to all what u need when in Amsterdam, reception staff were highly professionalized and offer all kind of help that needed,, the only thing that dint like was no free water to drink in rooms unlike other hotels and a bit high price

Perfect Location”

My third visit to Amsterdam and i usually prefer to stay in the center of city. Swiss Hotel was expensive according to it’s opportunities but it’s location helps you so much. On the other hand very kind and polite staff was there. That was my birthday and they had a surprise for me in my room: Waffles Thank you very much for everything.

Pros: Huge and comfortable beds, location is near central station. Cons: The girl at the front desk is not friendly at all and looked like she was angry all the time. Not accommodating . Doesn’t even smile. Not approachable. So much bad vibes. At least the room felt homey.

Central and welcoming”

This was my second visit and the reception staff were professional and excellent Ambassador's for the company and the group. The room had been renovated and was well laid out and very comfortable. The only thing I missed was breakfast as it is not part of the hotel. I will definitely return.

Very friendly hotel”

The front desk ladies were amazing especially Aprilla - couldn't do enough for us and sooo pleasant. The position right on Dam Square is a big plus too - with no noise really as all windows are double glazed. Must also mention the new restaurant. Apparently it has only been open for two weeks but it's very fresh Italian. They've put in a wood fired oven and the pizzas are great. All in all - a win win!
