Dated but vert comfortable ”

Tucked away down small lane that leads to a good beach,this quiet hotel is basic but great value , I had a large corner room with a single and queen size beds, bath and shower,and enough cupboard space for a football team ,a nice three seater couch with a large flat screen tv ,the internet was good enough to stream Netflix . Yes this hotel is a bit dated ,but we had a very enjoyable stay as it has a good pool and very good air-con .

Takiab Beach Resort - A-OK except for internet!”

Stayed there in the middle of May. Since I made the 3 night booking on my laptop in BKK (no printer) I did not have a voucher to present while checking in. I checked in around 8PM and the permanent middle-aged night clerk did not speak much English and worse, he had severe tooth pain and his mouth was numb from anesthesia making his limited English impossible to understand. Him trusting that I had a pre-paid reservation avoided a nightmare situation. He did understand my request for the WiFi password and wrote it down for me and realizing that I needed an internet connection,he immediately changed my room from a 3rd floor one to one on the 2nd floor. That 1st night was the only time that I was able to access the internet from my room which really sucked.Worse...the pay-by-minute lobby computer was useless since it was riddled with virus and adware infections. Hopefully the lobby computer has had all of it's virus' cleaned and the hotel has renewed the expired Anti-Virus program which caused the multiple infections rendering that terminal useless. Unless you have a rental car, Hua-Hin is quite far but they do have a private car and private van service in the area (Hua-Hin has no taxi companies!) and the 2 times I went into Hua-Hin I waited only 5 minutes for the private car to collect me.

Great Budget Hotel”

Quite close to the beach and also to Seapine Golf Course, easy to find, last decorated in the 1980s but for the price, great value, Breakfast is OK nothing special but very happy with my visit and will return

A Decent Value”

The room was very clean and comfortable, like something you might expect from a more expensive hotel. However there was no internet, even though the signage around the hotel giving passwords and such said there was. The first time we asked the staff they said the password was in the room, the second time we asked them we were told the internet was only in the lobby. The beach near the hotel is dirty from too many restaurants, however walking five minutes down the beach had a nice part to swim in near the golf course. The draw back at that location however is that there is no shade.

Pleasant Hotel near the beach”

We enjoyed our stay at the Takiab Beach Resort for the second year running. Nothing is too much trouble for the friendly staff. The room was superb and clean. We certainly would love to return again. Breakfast was also very good and reasonable in price. All in all value for money.

Quiet comfortable little hotel near the beach.”

3rd or 4th stay here. I like this hotel; Small but comfortable, well maintained, and clean. Good breakfast buffet not cleared away until they are sure you've had enough. Good relaxed service from friendly helpful staff. I like the natural decor and plants around the pool and the outdoor dining area. Just a few minutes walk from the beach.

A good hotel with nice staff”

The hotel is in good location, not far from the sea, but away from the crowds. The beach is OK, but is definitely crowded (shared between several hotels), and does not have nice sand. Water being shallow for several meters is perfect for young children. The hotel itself feels a little dated, but not to the extent of being unpleasant. Cleanliness was OK, no mosquitoes due to the screens. A little expensive for what you get. There are small shops and eating places in the walking distance, the town of Hua Hin is a 10-minute ride away in the green pick-up taxi/truck.

Great place for the price”

Our third time staying here. It's perfect for the price - very cheap!. A comfy bed, a shower, an old tv that keeps you from spending too much time in your room. The beach is very close and Hua Him is a short mini-bus or taxi ride away. There are restaurants along the beach, around the hotel and tons in Hua Hin, so you'll never get bored. There are a couple bars nearby, and also a FamilyMart convenience store has recently opened. Wifi is kinda iffy, but free. Staff, as always, are friendly and helpful.

Silence - Hua Hin”

Defenetly a great place for spontanious sanctuary for a day or two, in case you are looking for a cheap, quiet place to hide away from BKK's rush. There are food, beer, beach restaurants, and clear sand to get some tan near by the resort. Friendly stuff, comfy balcony in every room, Worth the money!

Takaib Beach Resort”

All in all a very nice stay, the rooms were very large and there is a nice balcony to have morning coffee or a evening drink on and watch the sunset.One hundred meters from a nice beach. A long walk to the market but there are a few little stores around for small essentials. If you are looking for nightlife there is none around this area but if restful isolation is your desire this is the place. A couple of decent but somewhat expensive restaurants within a few steps of the hotel.

Good location close to the beach”

I have stayed at other hotel in Khao Takiab, but this is best value for money. Big, nice clean room, nice balcony. The staff was paying very much attention to any request. Very nice swimming pool, and beach in walking distance. (about 400 m.) And free WiFi. I am sure we wil come back with our children.

Excellent Location Near the Beach”

The beaches are about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. No sea view rooms, but the view from our room was trees and birds. The lunch was good, but don't expect to get your moneys worth at breakfast. The little restaurants on the beach and near the hotel are much better and cheaper. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not much in terms of bars or nightlife, but Hua hin is only a short taxi ride away. Nothing extra in the room - no coffee, no kettle, not even tissue to blow your nose. BUT, a great place to stay.

Takieb Beach Resort”

I had reserved a room at takieb beach 1 day before I went there. First i worried about the late booking but i got an email confirmed with the hotel voucher. I also asked the live support and she said my booking had confirmed. But when i arrived there no room available for me. Like Pros and Cons that i said above.

I lost something in there, they said they can not find it. When you stay in the room remember that nothing else free..all service in there pay pay pay, be careful with the bill because they try to charge more than what you used as like internet, food..definitely I will not return to that hotel again.

Beach Bargain!”

This hotel is great value considering its close proximity to the beach -just 2 minutes. It has a nice pool with jacuzzi and good compact lay out of facilities on the ground floor all tastefully and naturally decorated using plants. Staff were very helpful but not too friendly. The room was very clean, quiet, and in A1 condition.

Best Beach in Hua Hin but dont tell everybody!!!”

If booked through Agoda, this hotel is the best deal at Takiab Beach, from which it is only 3 minutes walk in a quiet side road -very clean everywhere and the room was well carpeted. Well staffed and everyone was helpful. Nice pool with some jacuzzi jets which were turned on without my asking when swimming alone.

The room is quite small and not worth the money. The view out of the window (land side) is not very amusing: rubbish around the building. The staff at the desk is friendly, but not very professional and rather communicative. Eg until departure they could not inform us if the booking through agoda was already paid or if we had to pay directly. So there eas some confusion about this.

What are people complaining about when it comes to the distance to the beach it's clearly signposted its 5 Mins away!!! That's the most positive thing I have to say.... The wifi works only in reception which was annoying found myself complaining about that daily to staff. Breakfast was filling not varied but filling, orange/pineapple juice is far to sweet had to water it down, pool area was kept clean and tidy. Room was clean carpet very old and worn with stains and the balcony had a decent tame of dead flies but was cleaned up the next day. To be honest of the wifi worked every where and was strong this hotel in my opinion would be on route to being fantastic. Actually they had hot water so that also assists them onto being a good hotel. So please sort out the wifi :)

The hotel staffs is not friendly and helpful. The room and facilities are old, run down but clean. The services is not good , breakfast is not included. Hotel provided bad quality shampoo , soap no toothbrushes and toothpaste. Not worth the price we paid for at all. We're sure not be back for another visit.
