This is a good place to go everywhere. Because it's stay on Hua Lamphong station that is very easy to: China Town, ChiangMai Market, Hua Lamphong Station, ... Nice location. But about the facilities, not much light enough. That made the room it not clear. But anyway, the price it's suitable. Thank you.
5min walk to Bangkok Hua Lamphong Railway Station”
Few minutes walk to Hua Lamphong Railway Station and connected well by LRT Station with underground (with escalators if you have trolley suitcase). Easy and fast check-in, hostel room is spacious for 4 person with share bathroom. Curtains can make the room completely dark and good AC. Shower gel, shampoo and towel provided in your own big locker with keys. Excellent for 1-2 night stay. Relatively new hostel. I saw many private rooms available. Will come back.
Everything was fine for 2 nights. That was not my first stay there. Sometimes I come without reservation, but sometimes also they're full. This time in low season (June) perfect stay. Large room. But last time the same kind of room was not as big. So you may be lucky or not. But even if you get the smallest of all these good rooms, it's still correct. I like this place (Hua Lampong) because the price of the taxis are normal, compared to Khao San road where they are twice or three times more expensive for western people. There are a few restaurants nearby, and you can take the breakfast on the place.
Location, room are alright, but lift very slow”
When we wanted to stay for few more days, the unfriendly counter lady staff told me already fully booked. We should be informed beforehand during checked in that not able to extend if we request to stay more days. We got no choice but to immediate look for another hotel in the morning.
Very Convenient Location for Train Travellers”
This hostel is right in front of the Bangkok Central Railway station. So if you plan to take a train out of Bangkok this is a great location. The hostel is very clean and there is a lift to go up the 4 floors. Rooms have a large locker for each bed that could fit in your backpack.
Must stay place in Bangkok!”
If you loming for palce to stay in Bangkok without worrying noise at night, awesome location and i really mean it so nearby to sorts of public transportation! Only downfall is their elevator is damn slow but overall is superb! Definitely gonna stay again if I visit Bkk
Near to MRT station”
Very near to MRT station. MRT station is just outside of the hostel. Quite hard to get breakfast if you want to try their local foods unless you want to settle your breakfast in hostel's cafe or 7 eleven.
A beautiful hostel within 5min walk (through the underground/mtr train station) to the Hua Lamphong train station. Anything you may need is available at the hostel, washing, food, help from friendly staff. Will stay again when traveling on the thai railways next time.
Fine and basic but no running water! ”
I booked I here for a couple of hours to take a shower and a quick nap after a long flight as I was getting an overnight train from the nearby station. I started to shower, was covered in soap and the water ran out. The shower had only been running around 2 mins. I had to use bottled water.
The room is clean and the hostel has a very nice location. It’s just across the mrt station.the only downside I can think of was the elevator, so slow.
The room was clean, the staff were helpful, the location was very good, opposite Hua Lamphong Station. Luggage storage is very cheap 20 bahts per day. The bathroom was very clean but shower was not very practical , missing a shower curtain or screen. Overall good stay, value for money, would stay again.
Right In Front of Bangkok Main Rail Station”
This is a newly furbished building with an elevator. The 4 bed dorms were clean and comfortable with own locker facility. Shared toilets were also clean. Its fairly quite at night though right in the middle of a busy cross-section. If you are taking the train out of Bangkok this is a great location right in front of the Hua Lampong rail station.
Perfect, Clean Hostel”
Loved our stay. Food in the resturant is very good (Western food was homely comfort). Shower available after check out. This was handy as we were getting a sleeper train to Chiang Mai at 8pm so was nice to freshen up before we went. Rooms clean and have everything you need including a safe. Will stay again.
Great for early morning train”
As the hotel name suggests this is the place to stay for that early morning train from Hua Lamphong station. Just a 3 minute walk from the station, use the MRT underground pathway rather than cross the road. Beds are comfortable and place is clean. The MRT is on the doorstep which allows easy access to the BTS and the rest of the city.
Great location, clean, modern room, rubbish WiFi ”
We wanted to catch a train from Bangkok up to Ayutthaya, so this made a perfect place to stop for the night and explore Bangkok. Not only is it right opposite the train station, it’s even closer to the metro which means you can visit a lot more of this city cheaply and easily. The room was clean, modern and comfortable and well insulated from noises outside, although we could easily hear neighbours in the room next door through the dividing wall. The room was well equipped with decent AC, a fridge, hot shower (not great pressure) and a comfy bed. WiFi was pretty slow so not that useful. Staff at the desk were helpful and efficient and spoke decent English. Happy to recommend - obviously if you’re used to backpacking around Thailand, this is more expensive than your average hostel/cheap hotel room , but the location more than makes up for this.
I have been staying at this place for a number of year. I like it for a number of reason. First is the location. Just outside the door is the entrance to the MRT (subway). Once on, you can connect to many areas of Bangkok directly or do an interchange to the Skytrain. In addition, it is only a short walk (10 minutes or so) from the heart of Chinatown and the Riverside area. If you are taking a train, the hostel is just across the street from Hua Lamphong station. Second are the facilities. With the exception of the slowest elevator in Bangkok, if not all of Thailand LOL, the facilities are clean and modern after the relatively recent update. I have stayed in both the 4-bed dorms and 2-person doubles with ensuite baths and found them both to be better than average. Third, there is a small cafe downstairs that makes very good coffee and food and reasonable prices. Finally, there is the staff. I have found them to be both helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend.
The location is so good is between Exit 1 or 4 of the Hua Lamphong Station. Staff is nice, we arrived early from a red-eye flight, wasn't able to check in early but was able to leave our luggage in the hotel and use their facilities. The only takeaway is that elevator is way too slow. We opted to take the stairs when going down. No free breakfast but there were a lot of cheap restos around the area. Would 100% recommend!
Right next to train station”
We wanted to see abit of Chinatown before getting a train to Ayutthaya. This place was perfect as it was right next to both. Facilities in the room were great, big king size bed. The lift was old and a bit shaken. Overall abit pricey but just what we needed.
Great location for getting around Bangkok”
If you are coming to Bangkok and want to be able to get around easily, this is a great place to stay. Just outside the door is the entrance to the Bangkok MRT subway. From there, you can go a couple of stops and the transfer to the Skytrain which will get you all over Bangkok. If you are coming or leaving Bangkok by train, the main train station is just across the road. You are also an easy walk to Chinatown which is a must see in the evening. The facilities are clean and well maintained. They did a major renovation a few years ago and it is much better than it was during my early stays there. While they do have an elevator in the building, it probably qualifies as the slowest one I have ever been on. LOL I only take it going up and always take the stairs coming down. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. For example, I was taking the train from Bangkok to Malaysia and was taking some coffee beans to them. I managed to leave the coffee in the fridge in the room. I dropped them a note and they were able to hold it until I returned to Bangkok a few days later. I have stayed in the 4-person mixed dorm with shared bathroom, the double room, and in the single room. All have been very clean and well taken care of. I have recommended this friends and recommend it to you as well.
Great option to explore Yaowarat without breaking the bank”
Probably can't beat the location - just in front of the Hua Lamphong MRT station and walking distance into the heart of Chinatown (Yaowarat). Honestly it's quite a bit nicer that what you might think of with the word "hostel" in it. The room is a good size with a big bed, a spacious bathroom and a nice balcony. Didn't use the facility but they had a gaming room. The room service food was good but a tad expensive given that it's Thailand and if I was just a little less lazy I could walk outside and buy something on the corner. Still, highly recommend it as an inexpensive home base during some BKK exploration.
