Worst value for the money ever.”
Probably the most overpaid hostel I've ever been to. Dirty, damp room in the basement with a worm in the bathroom. Don't go there!

My booking mentioned free entry to yellow mountains for overseas visitors from 1 Nov 2017, but I checked with hotel and ticket counter, they said no such arrangement, asked me to check with Agoda.

Same as all the other options”
This place was okay- all of the fancy hotels at the top of the mountain have dorm rooms in their basements, and they are all the same. Overpriced dorm rooms, but if you want to stay at the top of the mountain, they are your only choice. The food at the restaurant was good, and affordable, if you go to the downstairs restaurant, not the upstairs one.

Pricey but excellent location set up for the sunrise view”
The hotel is close to few sceneries such as monkey view over the sea and lion peak. These are great for the sunrise view (around 05:30 AM), as the cable cars aren't open yet and other hotels seem (30 min to 120 min walk in dark before getting here). Room was good, nothing short. The prices are bit expensive though, but I guess that's what you are paying for (location).

Location requires more uphill hiking if you want to hike the westside canyon or departing at the south side the next day.

Inaccurate information”
We booked a dorm bed in male and female dorm each via Agoda and the booking says its a 6 person dorm. However when we arrive, we were told the booking was for 10 persons dorm and there is no such thing as 6 persons dorm. We even show the hotel staff the booking confirmation stating it was for a bed in a 6 persons dorm. We were very dissappointed as this is the first time we used Agoda. Luckily the condition of dorm was OK.

Dark Hotel”
My opinion, the hotel is too dark since the furniture is mostly dark red too. Suggest brighter furniture so the room won't look gloomy.

Facilities super poor”
I booked & paid for a 6-bed female dorm, but they gave a 8-bed dorm. They told me it is full. (But in fact it was not!). This is totally an act of cheating & unacceptable for me. No toilet paper provided, no kettle in the room. I stayed in Beihai hotel the night before and felt it was overall (especially facilities) much more better

Few choices”
There are only a few hotels near the top of the mountain. Potters have to literally sell their bodies to bring up goods to the hotels. With these considerations, one really can't complain but just hope these hoteliers are less greedy (high hopes, indeed). I am sorry but it's take it of leave it.

Exceptional”
The location offers an opportunity for a sunrise or sunset walk to an excellent viewpoint (weather permitting). All hotel accomodations in area are relatively 'pricey'. Bunk rooms are clean but can be crowded in this popular area.

good location but really and service ”
The hotel is on the mountain but except that everything is really expensive for the price. The welcoming is really unfriendly, the dorms are dirty and people are allowed to smoke in it! I had to sleep the entire night with this awful cigarette smell and the next morning all my clothes were smelling so bad...

Too expensive”
We wanted to stay only one night. To hike up the mountain and hike back the next day. However, the rooms were way too expensive so we decided to take the dormitory room. This room was also quite expensive for a dorm room and it was not worth it at all. The room was freezing (we were there in winter), the bathroom is very basic and the reception wouldn't give us any toilet paper because ''that is only for room guests''. Breakfast and dinner are also very expensive and not particularly good. I would recommend everybody to find a nice hotel or hostel at the foot of the mountain.

i stayed one night at the dorm with a friend. Even though I speak mandarin, I asked the receptionist to speak slowly for me to understand better what she was saying and she was very rude and did not make any effort to communicate with the guests that are non mandarin native speakers.

small room but clean and comfortable”
we spent one night here during the National holiday. definitely overpriced for the size of the room but then again, we were staying on top of a mountain...during the holiday. room was small for two people but it was clean and comfortable. the sheets were a little wet/damp. bathroom was clean. bed was comfortable. the food here was also ok, typical chinese food at the breakfast and dinner buffet. breakfast coupon is included, for dinner it was 120 rmb/person. location of the hotel is ideal. it's located between two peaks - Beginning to Believe Peak and Monkey Sea Cloud Gazing peak. Both are good spots for watching sunrise and sunset. Staff was nice and some spoke English.
