Huangshan Xihai Hotel”
1 of the better hotels on top of Huangshan mountain. Though the room was a little small, but it was cosy enough. The winter view was totally amazing, especially when it was snow covered, as if one is in a magical land.
Fancy hotel on top of Huangshan”
After climbing six hours in the rain, it was a real treat to reach Xilai. High-quality buffet dinner and breakfast with both Western and Chinese food. They lend you a coat for seeing sunrise, although we didn't need ours in early June.
Everything is good except the staff in front desk. She is careless for checking information.
Luxurious hotel near Canle Car station”
This is a very comfortable hotel close the the cable car station. Quick tip to pack light in bag packs as the routes on the mountain are all by stairs. If you hav every heavy luggages (like ya), you can request for a porter from the hotel (we had three luggages and was charged RMB300 each way). The hotel is one of the best you can find on the mountain and the food at their restaurant was very decent! :)
Mountain top luxury”
Xihai Hotel is luxurious for a mountain top hotel, and the restaurant food is by far the best of all the hotels on the mountain.
Very clean and nice . Restaurant extremely expensive and quality of food only fair. ”
Great location, very clean and nice rooms. Food options very limited and extremely expensive . But Hotel was wonderful place to rest after long day of hiking. Highly recommend but find other options for food
best hotel in Huangshan mountain”
I booked the superior twin room and had the room that was on the main building with the reception so it was convenient and I didnt had to walk through the rain as it was raining and temp was almost 1C. The breakfast was good and the room was so comfortable. The water pressure in the bathroom was strong. The bed was comfortable as after a day of walking around the mountains through the rain, it was so comfortable to rest in the room. There was a heater . But as the costs of bringing up amenities to the hotels in the mountain was high, there was NO water provided in all the rooms. Therefore you need to pay RMB20 for a 1.5litres of water. But this was not an issue at all . Will definitely booked this hotel when I visit Huangshan mountain again.
Clean, high-class hotel on top of Huangshan, near the Taiping cable car - Do note that the shuttle bus at the mountain foot from/to Taiping cable car is much less frequent than the others. Hotel is clean, service is good, definitely would recommend this!
The location is within 2 hour slow walk from Yungu Cable. (room in south wing, newer extension from hotel) Great location, near scenic view Food, above average (breakfast buffet style about RMB 90 per pax, dinner alacarte dish priced at RMB 15 to 200++) Parka and torch provided in rooms for night walk or sudden down in temperature Will book it again if going next time
Comfortable stay in the mountains ”
this is not cheap. But, it's absolutely first-class and having stayed here, you wouldn't feel like staying in any of the other hotels up in the mountains. This is quite important especially after a days of hiking; you want to feel absolutely pampered at night and be ready for the morning wake to see the sun rise.
Over priced, Unfriendly Hotel”
The justification for the hefty asking prices for the rooms was that everything had to be brought up by human mules. Try asking how much these poor fellows are being paid. I think it is very exploitative. The staff were cold, unfriendly, unhelpful in showing the weary travellers how to get to their rooms- confusing because of the new extensions. We were made to feel that it was the satff who were grudgingly doing us a favour to stay in their hotel, not the other way round.
Pricey, but at least it’s a nice room”
I was in the older building and found the room to be perfectly fine. Nice linens, hot water and an enclosed shower were all appreciated after a long day of stairs. The breakfast was ok, just don’t expect the kind of spread you’d find at the Ritz. From the look of it, this is nicest hotel up on the mountain. For anyone wishing to avoid the hordes of tourists (trust me, you do), I’d recommend hiking up the east/back side of the mountain (2-3 hours), drop your stuff off at the hotel, then do the first loop of the West Sea canyon (2-4 hours), coming back up to the hotel.
A little pricey but a great place to rest on the mountain”
After hiking up for 5 hours, this place was a special touch of luxury to rest our tired feet! The weather wasn't great so we didn't even bother seeing the sunrise/sunset but the hotel had some nice views around it and was close to a few scenic points. If you're coming from the south side of the mountain, it's a bit of a hike from the gondola still. Restaurant seemed chaotic and not ideal unless you're traveling with a large group so we ordered room service which was pretty tasty. Breakfast was also quite good. From what I've heard, seems like one of the best places to stay on the mountain.
Good location and the hotel is in a good condition.”
Good location and the hotel is in a good condition.
Great location and good service”
Central location on Mt Huangshan, friendly staff and good restaurant.
Location Location Location”
This hotel is expensive for what it is. However, you pay for the location, not the facilities. Hotel and room were clean, well kept. Dinner and breakfast buffet is mainly Chinese food, with very little Western food. Only 1 elevator (out of 2) was working. Hotel is much closer to the north cable car, a 15-20 min walk, than the south cable car.
Beautiful hotel with its own viewing area.”
I stayed here in June in order to visit the park and see the mist. It was a bit of a walk to get to the hotel from the cable car, but the viewing platform made it worth the trip. The view is not extensive but it does offer sight of the sea of clouds right on your doorstep. My room was on the small side but very comfortable. It was located in the north building, which is not as fancy as the main building. There is a walkway between the buildings providing dry access during the rainy season. The main building is gorgeous but I noticed a damp odor on the floors that are below ground. I'd say the north building is preferable to staying on the lower floors of the main building. There is a nice restaurant and a bar in the main building. Don't get a pina colada, the pineapple juice is not tasty :)
Excellent location beautiful mountain”
Very good facilities in north wing of hotel. staying on top if the mountain is well worth while as you can avoid day crowds and walk up peak to see sunset and sunrise. Bed very comfortable excellent breakfast included and buffet dinner for 150 was very good.
Best hotel at Huangshan mountain”
Good location at the intersection to many routes around the mountain. Friendly staff, hospitality, and clean room. Standard breskfast provided. Would be better if offer bottles of water in the room.
A great place to stay on top of the mountain ”
Very happy with this hotel. It's very clean, comfortable and in a great location. Food is nice but expensive but there are cheaper things on the menu. The restaurant looks expensive but prices are the same as nearby hotels so probably best to eat there. Coffee is extremely over priced.
