We had the most amazing stay, which was very much needed after traveling around for a while and staying in different hotels. We booked one of the most expensive accommodations in the resort- Vietnamese pool villa- huge and very comfortable house with a private pool. Such a relaxing and tranquil stay to refresh and regain energy for further journey. Resort staff is second to none, especially Miwa, Assistant Operation Manager, who welcomed us and made us feel like we were part of the resort family! We can‘t thank her enough for everything she did for us! We will miss her sooo much! So if you are lucky enough to meet this girl, you will be treated like royalty. Breakfast is one of the best we have had so far in Vietnam, the food is so fresh and delicious plus theres a huge variety to choose from. Good shutle service from the resort to Hue city. Just a word of advise- DO NOT be tempted to eat outside the resort, the place straight accross the road near the shop- food is terribly overpriced and tastes quite bad- some of our dishes were made with old and stinky meat, the plates were suitable for a baby definatley not an adult!! So your better off going with the resort shuttle to Hue and having a wonderful and plentiful meal, for example at Rose 2, cute little restaurant, which is on the same street where shuttle bus drops you off (absolutely delicious dishes there cooked by a lovely family). This has to be one of the best hotels I have stayed in, truly a five star hotel. The building itself is magnificent set in lovely gardens. The rooms are spacious and extremely modern and comfortable. Thge hotel pool is large and beautiful with adjoining gym and sauna. The buffet breakfast was delicious with a huge range of food to suit all tastes. Just on the outer part of the4 city it is only a couple of dollars to the city centre. The staff at this hotel must be the best in Vietnam. Most speak extremely good English and were extremely helpful and friendly. Easily the best hotel in Hue and argubaly for value the best in Vietnam. Highly recommended fo travellers of all types.

The hotel is the only 5-star hotel in HUE city, so u got no comparison hehehe.... Well the price is cheaper than a standard 5 star, coz I guess it's a local one. Generally there's nothing to complain about. The breakfast is good enough, room clean and big enough, and sth unique about the furniture, they got typical old Chinese style ones in every room! So... It's good.:)

We stayed at Cmaillia Hue in March 2012. The room we had was way out of our expecation. It was lovely decorated with simple and matching colour pattern furnture and sheets. The breakfast was fantastic. It consisted of a mix of western and Vietnamese dishes whcih could be seen outside, The front desk staff was cheerful and helpful when entertaining our questions and request. We had a wonderful time at the Camillia Hotel in Hue. We will definately recomment to our friends who will visit Hue in the future.

This hotel was one of the best hotels that we have booked over our journey through the Vietnam. It was very cheap compared to the other hotels of the same category. The breakfast was simply amazing. Local restaurant offers also very good dishes. The staff is very friendly and offers good services for travelers (as many other hotels in Vietnam). We have booked a trip to Hoi An, which was our next destination. Our room was clean and very pleasant. There is a small swimming pool and fitness. Restaurant and bar is located on the top floor and offers great views over the Hue city. Hotel was very quiet during our visit and we did not meet many guests. For dinner and nightlife its much better to go outside.

James at the front desk and the rest of the staff really took care of me. this is legit the best hotel I have ever stayed at in Vietnam, period. When I am talking the best, it's the staff that make this hotel good. I felt safe, and trusted the staff that they would make things right if they went wrong at all. seriously, i wish all hotels in vietnam could be as half as good as this one was. If I ever have to book a hotel in Hue. I am going to this one. no questions.

Good sleeping conditions, no outside noise in this smallish hotel, and the wifi was really good. While by this criteria the Scarlet is excellent hostelry -- like many in Vietnam in this category/price range -- we would by no means make claim that it is The Best hotel in Hue. Located down an alley set back from the street meant minimal views from the window/balcony -- and minimal motobike noise. Breakfast and coffee was a little disappointing, but not inedible for this three-day stay. Really nothing to complain about here, although if you prefer a bit more infrastructuure in your hotel or are planning a longer stay in Hue, a larger hotel might be more suitable. The Scarlet clientele appeared to be more westerners, and couples without children. And no PRC tour groups in evidence.

Our cheapest hotel whilst staying in vietnam and it turned out to be the best. Room was huge, computer in room, a large selection of DVD's to choose from if you wanted, turndown service etc. Lots of free drinking water, great breakfast buffet. Minibar prices very reasonable as was laundry (we did everything for about six pounds). Staff were very helpful and seemed to genuinely want to make your stay as pleasurable as possible and seemed to be very proud of their hotel. If we were to return to vietnam it would be the only hotel we would have no hesitation in booking again. My only very slight grumble is that upon checking in we were given welcome drinks and it felt a bit like a sales pitch by the staff to do their trips, and after a long journey i just wanted to go the room. After that though we were just left to decide if we wanted to do anything - in the end we did the Hue city tour which was great and the Hue - Hoi An bus. Both very reasonably priced.

I had a terrific stay at Park View Hotel! Although the hotel was filled due to a Festival in Hue I was given a very nice quiet suite by the General Manger. The breakfast buffet is huge ! Both Asian and Western foods. The hotel restaurant is great for lunch and dinner. I booked two tours (Citadel and DMZ Tours) by the hotel and was very satisfied.Very nice pool to relax at.The hotel staff is very efficient and is able to communicate in English very well.If traveling to Hue,I highly recommend The Park View Hotel.You will not be disappointed !

Probably one of the best hotels in Hue. Also I enjoyed Hue city so much, that I prolonged my stay for another two nights at the same hotel. One of pleasant surprises was size of the room and bed - both were huge. Continental breakfast surprised even more - luckly I could choose something eatable as I was already too tired eating unknown origin meal on the streets. This hotel helped me to survive in Vietnam. After a long day walk in the city you can get a nice massage (and hear some "tip me, tip me, five dollars" from a massage lady), but that was worth it. However I accidentaly discovered a dark side as well. After outstanding massage I messed up with floor buttons in elevator and entered wrong room with the key of my room! After 10 second shock (where the hell are my suitcase, my clothes and why everything is so tidy in "my" room?) I realized what have I done. But that was really the only disapointment after all. Hotel staff was very helpful - they arranged bicycles for us and that was pretty much a good choice as we visited most of the sightseeing spots in Hue and surrounding areas Also this hotel is closest from all to the Citadel.

We arrived late evening after a flight from Hanoi. Warmly greeted and were provided refreshment. As we were late arriving, the restaurant had closed, so they recommended a very nice restaurant a short walk away. The room was very well appointed and the breakfasts were amazing. Even though they do have a buffet counter, everything was brought to you by the staff. Mary, Laura and all the other staff are just so warm and will bend over backwards for you. The hotel is in a quiet street and still very close to all the activity of Hue. We also found the hotel excellent in arranging tours and airport transfers. They were able to do this competitively priced. They arranged an amazing full day tour of the DMZ, Khe Sanh and Vinh Moc tunnels. Our driver was excellent and the guide provided so much information about the history. This was probably the highlight of our whole trip to Vietnam. Hue is a beautiful city and we regret not spending more time there. The hotel arranged another excellent driver to take us to Hoi An. We still want to see more of Hue and will look forward to returning to the Hue Serene Palace Hotel.

the romance hotel was the perfect location for us to explore hue. we personally found that except of the imperial city is not much to do in hue city. so enjoy the time in this fabulous hotel, having a drink on the roof top or a massage in the spa and visiting the sights in between. the prices were also ok especially during the spa happy hour. it is quite a distance to the imperial city but all the other hotels are in the same area. i found the housekeeping outstanding, they serviced the room without a trace.. ahhh and the breakfast was delicous, a huge variety!

Once again our stay in a Vietnam hotel was summarised by Excellent location,friendly,helpful staff,and strong customer focus.Situated in the centre of the restaurant area of Hue city,this Hotel location was perfect to return to after a long day sightseeing.The hotel staff provided a map of Hue,to see by walking,then organised a day long tour of the Tombs,the next day.Hong Thien 1 provided a great laundry service at a low cost.Our 2 room booking was upgraded to a very good family room for no extra charge.This hotel was perfect for exploring the Citadel by foot.

When we arrive at the Hotel the check-in went smoothly. The room are large, clean with a bathub/shower type. For the price we were very satisfied with the room. Breakfast was included and was ok, a major part of the food is not so warm in the buffet ( bacon, sausage etc.) so nothing fancy, but they do offer a egg station where you can get omelette and eggs made so for a free breakfast included with a room with the promotion by 2 nights get one free it was more than we expected. Night management was ok but we had lost the safe combination and nobody on the evening or night shift could help us and we had to go down to the counter to finally get some appropriate response. The day management is just fabulous and really courteous. Only bad side is any tour or services offered in or around the Hotel. We try to book a trip with the Hotel to go to the caves and their price were doubled than the one we found in town and the lady working at the tour desk really didn't know much about tours that was deceiving. We finally went to town and book the same tour in a travel agency for half price they were asking. The hotel rents moot-bikes but again the price asked for a day or half day was way more expensive than what we got in town and that was also deceiving. The hotel is close to center town, but other hotel are closer so you might want to get bicycles or motto-bikes to go around the city. Overall the hotel is cheap for what you get and its clean so I would recommend it but book your trips and transportation outside the Hotel in one of the agencies in the center town. As for Hue city it is nice but we had bad experience with the local population who won't help you with directions or will simply tell you to get lost if you try to ask. Its sad cause we had good experience in all other cities in Vietnam.

Very good location. 5 minutes walk to the Hue Imperial City and Trang Tien Bridge. You can easily find good restaurants, bars, marts and SPA shop around it. Local markets and night markets lie alongside Song Huong River which is just 500m away. Rosaleen Boutique Hotel has very kind and helpful staffs. They gave me much useful information for my trips in Hue. Picking-up in Airport is also provided and you can ask for it by E-mail. The breakfast in the hotel is delicious - kinds of food can be chosen which includes Vietnamese and Chinese food. They also have big rooms and beautiful swimming pool. And the room with balcony has very good view.

We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival with a complimentary drink and plate of fruit. We were able to arrange for a Hue city tour and car transfer from Hue to Hoi An tough hotel reception. Hotel provided excellent restaurant recommendations. You were able to order as many items as you wished from the breakfast menu and every item we tried was delicious. Staff were extremely helpful with all tasks. It was initially hard to locate because like so many hotels it was down a lane off the main road. We would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

We had a two night stay at the Hue riverside villa. rooms are very comfortable and nicely done with suoer confy beds and view obto the river. breakfast was plentiful and great to eat outsidelooking onto the river. Best if all where the staff who could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Their good humour and smiles were infectious. It is a little bit of a walk to the old city but the hotel is ideally situated tontue walking (and drinking) streets whilst still.being quiet and peaceful.

The Thanh Lich Hotel is a 3 star plus, with authentic staff and a positive room ambience to rest in! I had a massage in my room by a male masseur who did the deed with more than adequate skill -unfortunately the massage rooms were off putting with no apparent heating or cover sheets, with the 'table' being a raised single bed with one side against a wall -? Next door was a clean, curved-shaped swimming pool. Within walking distance to the Perfume River and the night market, weather permitting!; otherwise a concerted walk across the long bridges -the more western one takes you almost directly to the 'citadel' while the other to the "market". The prices for 'artefacts', nic nacs, Cds etc. from the 'citadel' souvenaire shop are not inflated. For art lovers, a visit to the Art Gallery Museum at 15 Le Roi, parallel to the river, is a must-see -mmmmmmmm! It's home to Le Ba Dang's work and provides a link to France, the 'American War' and the Viet Nam Liberation Front; furthermore, it gives perspective to the 'touristy' art shops. Within a one minute stroll to the Parkview Hotel restaurant/cafe for Viet Namese and Western fare, and; possibly a Starbucks almost across the road called the "Light Cafe"? After being spoilt by Hoi An, Hue was cool, cloudy and/or misty rain for two days which was somewhat 'grey and foreboding', contrary to other tourist reports. Michael Ocean Hoi An/New Zealand

We had the best stay in this lovely hotel in Hue, hidden in a small street. We felt welcome from the first second we came in the lobby. We had fresh fruits and a refreshing towel, before we got shown to our room. Big, spacious and a lot of daylight! Before heading of to explore the city we received a map of Hue and some tips where to go. Everybody’s English is really good!!! The breakfast is made by order so everything is fresh, you can choose from a menu what you would like. The bar for the upcoming hotels during our trip is now really high. Thanks so much to every single staff member!

Good value. Clean hotel! Because I stayed in very disgusting hotel in Hoi An, I was so worried that If I could another disaster staying in Hue. But, fortunately it was great! The staffs were very kind and helpful. There was a guy in front desk, and he actually asked me to come down to provide more information about good local restaurants, night market, sightseeing places. Hue city was very great city and this hotel made it better!

this hotel is fantastic. cheaper than most of the hotels we have stayed in over our month in vietnam it was by far the most pleasant stay. breakfast was also one of the best we have had (fresh passion fruit was great and they will cook eggs exactly how you like them in the open kitchen so you can watch). the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. the rooms were super clean and still look very new. most of the hotels in hue are in this area which is a bit of a walk from the citadel/market etc but there are always plenty of cyclos waiting to be haggled down for a cheap trip over the bridge. great street food and cheap restaurant surround the area too. if we visit hue again we will definately return.
