          Cute guest house with personality”

          Staff and comfortable beds

The first thing you notice upon arrival is that the guesthouse is not your cookie cutter hotel with a bland look to it. The hotel is a newly constructed building with 9 guest rooms and is two stories. It has spanish style tiling outside and dark wood accents the facade. It is a refreshing sight compared to many of the hotels and guesthouses throughout Thailand. The pricing is an excellent value for what you get, especially in comparison to other hotels in Chiang Rai. You will not be getting super fancy but rather all the basic amenities in a charming ambiance. I have done quite a bit of research into hotels in CR via the internet and also by going around and asking to look at rooms. I have also stayed in one other hotel in CR that was suppose to be much nicer. I ended up checking out of that hotel after one day and returning here! The beds are very comfortable and the air con works great. There is a tv in the room but I have yet to turn it on and check how many channels it gets. There is a small refridgerator which is nice as I go the the 7-11 across the street and buy my drinks which are kept cold in my room. The wifi works very well in my room and I am able to Facetime and watch YouTube videos without interuption. Breakfast is simple but tasty. The owner's daughter is very cute as I have read in other posts and she has been very helpful giving tips for my stay. I recommend getting a motor bike or car as the guesthouse is approximately a 5 minute drive from the night bazaar and entertainment areas. There is a small Thai outdoor market across the street where you will not see any farang. Overall, this has been one of my favorite values and I would choose this over all the hotels I have seen that are even four times the price here in CR.

They are bright and very helpful!

Very enjoy living in Huenchandee. They are very bright to use Google Translate for communication. They helped me a lot for my trip arrangement, especially the one-day tour in Chiang Rai – the tour guide is the best one I have ever met! The location is good and there is a local market just opposite to the alley – mountains of foods there. So why not come out of the house and indulge yourself in those delicious food? Fantastic small hotel”

Nice Rooms, Great Staff, Central Location

Huenchandee Hotel is a small, family run hotel. The rooms are reasonably nice, the beds are comfortable, the air con works and the hot water works. Anything that is lacking in amenities is more than made up for by the helpfulness of the staff. Not all the staff can speak English but all of them will go out of their way to help you and, if they cannot understand you questions, they will call one that speaks English and get some help that way. They are knowledgable of the area and will help you plan your day of sight seeing.

          Small and wonderful hotel”

Friendly staff, a beautiful building, smallness

It is an old house all done with teak wood from floor to ceiling. In the USA it will be considered a "Heritage" house. It has about 8 rooms. We stayed in Room 7. It was spotless, comfortable, had a refrigerator, a nice bathroom with perfect hot shower. No one actually spoke any English but almost no one in Thailand except the very top layer actually speaks any other language. But we all get by. We get by being nice and having a smile. No exception here either. The hotel is out of the Gringo Alley area which to us was a big plus. It takes 20 Baht a person to go to associate with the foreigners, like the Night Market or the inner city bus station. Only drawback is the breakfast. If you do not eat meat or consume food inc produced processed junk, there is nothing to eat or drink. We carry our own little Gold Filter and Coffee ground. I also carry our own muesli mix, pure soy powder, hemp protein, etc. There are two 7-11 around the corner from where one can buy yogurt and the market is filled with fruit. So, we had a lovely breakfast using our food and their bowl and hot water. If I find myself in Chiang Rai, I will definitely stay here.

This is a good one, beautiful well priced hotel”

          Nice rooms, good service

Really good value for money, rooms are extremely comfortable and nice for the price. Tasteful building and decor in the rooms with good working air conditioning. Service with a smile. Don't have much else to say but I can't really fault the place. Slept in so I can't comment on the breakfast. Bit of a walk into town but tuk tuk's and taxi's are cheap in Chiang Rai, should cost you 40 baht.

          Stunningly Lovely Small Guesthouse.Great Amenities”

Excellent service, very friendly, small family run guesthouse, Good central location. Like being in a far away country, maybe Japan or Northern Thailand. Wood throughout, many amenities. Treated like part of their family. Rooms and bed linens were like works of art.

This small hotel was truly phenomenal, and had a feel to it of being in a remote, exotic locale, due to the wood and artwork, and small touches like towels on the exquisitely bedecked bed which were done in the shapes of swans facing each other across a red satin divide. The family which owns and runs this wonderful guesthouse treated me like royalty, albeit part of their family, even inviting me to eat with them, driving me around town, telling me all the best places to go. The children's English was excellent so there was no language barrier, though many Thais also stay here. The daughter was beautiful and nice and made sure I was very comfortable, and the son drove me around on his motorcycle, and a few times we went in the family car. They told me all the best spots to go in Chaing Rai and things to do, and even let me use their trusty (though old-fashioned) bike for free, and I went all over on it, had a blast. Close to some good bars and restaurants and adjacent to a nice night market. Very reasonable prices, lots of value. Best part was the overall comfort and welcomeness of my stay, which they allowed me to extend for several extra days, all at the same Agoda price from my original booking.

Local north style hotel, clean, nice interior and exterior

This lovely mini hotel is very nice and we would highly recommended anyone who want to visit chiangrai city to choose this hotel at a priority. It is value for money comparing to the hotel standard and price. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location is located in the heart of city which is nearby local market and 1 km to Central Department Store, and 2 km to Chiangrai Night Market. We booked for double bed room, it is clean and spacious, the mattress and bed sheet are clean and very comfortable. Not much choice for breakfast. Really happy to stay here.

Pretty hotel in fairly quiet area

Not a fancy hotel but good value for money nonetheless. Very helpful staff that will help you find your way around. Breakfast is a little limited but not too bad for the price. Location is quieter than the centre and only a coupe of minutes' tuk tuk or 15-20 minutes' walk from the night bazaar and the heart of Chiang Rai.

          favorite hotel in Thailand!”

incredible staff, pretty hotel and great room

This was our favorite hotel in Thailand. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they made us feel very welcome and at home. True thai hospitality. The design of the hotel was very beautiful and the room was large, clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The hotel had a couple bicycles that they let us use for free to go to the main street and the night market. Breakfast was simple, but satisfying. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to go back someday!

The location is convenient. The staff is warming hospitality. Room is clean. Worth the money.i

The hotel owner is very friendly, always try her best to approach you even though her English is not very good. The room and toilet is clean and satisfied, very worth money. The location is convenient, just 5 mins to night blazers and 7 mins to clock tower by Tuk Tuk. Also, you can rent bike from hotel and its free! One of the weakness is that the water is not hot enough. My friend and I have a pleasant experience at here, we definitely will come back again!

          Great stay”

Great stay! We stayed here for 2 nights as we wanted to see the White Temple, we decided to rent a scooter and drive down ourselves. It was only about 20 minutes. Staff were really nice although poor English, they still went out of their way to accommodate you. Especially one woman (we never got her name but she wears headphones behind the desk) we told her we were checking out early to catch the local bus at 7am but we didn't leave the room until 6.50am as we slept in from being to tired from traveling. We decided to catch the next bus at 7.30am but she dropped us down to the bus station and caught the 7am bus just in time 😊 There is also a shopping centre close by and a lovely outdoor eatery called ban ban cafe and kitchen just 1 minute away from the hotel.

Clean, bright, comfortable room. Very helpful staff

we only stayed 1 night on our way through chaing rai but really enjoyed this lovely guesthouse. a bit out of town (1.2 km) but a flat walk or cheap tuk tuk ride will get you to the night bazar and bus station. no much in the way of restaurants but we got a great pad thai from a local foodstall, cheap and lots of smiles. breakfast included was basic but ok. great value.

          quite, clean rooms

this hotel is a little far from the center of town but walkable. we stayed here for 3 nights and walked everyday to town. the area it's in also has a lot of restaurants and a seven eleven across the street. it's a very quite hotel and has a great outdoor seating area. it's not the most modern of hotels, cracks at the bottom of the doors, had an older feel to it, but it's clean and the beds are comfortable. you get what you pay fire here, it's not the most fancy hotel but it grew on me.
