Good location, Old furniture, Limited variety for breakfast
The hotel is near to the MRT station. The furniture in the room were very old and no maintenance was done such as wallpaper was dropped, cabinet door was broken. Limited variety for the breakfast. All the staff are speak in Mandarin and do not understand english.

Pleasant, a little far from the Bund
Close to metro, large room, large windows
Overall our stay was nice, the room was large and comfortable. The hotel wasn't as close to the Bund as we thought, although it's easy to get everywhere from Liujiabang Statiion. Two stops west on the light blue line and there's a nice neighborhood (Dapuqiao) with a lot of restaurants and shops. The staff at the hotel don't speak great English, but then, we don't speak any Mandarin.

location, big windows with nice view
It was simple but nice, a really big window, where the sun comes to the room. It seems to be a 3 stars hotel.

Great location, great price
clean, good view, close enough to everything ,but just off the beaten path which made it possible to see the non-touristy side of shanghai
Staff was very nice No one spoke English. If they did, they did not speak enough to tell me that I underbooked my reservation and needed to pay for one night. This fact was not a problem; however, I was lucky enough to know a english speaking Chinese who translated for me. It was completely necessary. That said, had I booked my travel appropriately, I would not have had any issues in spite of the lack of english speaking staff.

Never Again
Carpet was badly stained and filthy. As a former hotel staff, room with carpet in that condition would have been blocks for refurbishing or major cleaning - it would never have been released to hotel customer. The next day, the room was still not cleaned when we came back after a full day outing at around 8pm. The staff offered to replace the towels with fresh ones after a complain. When I requested for a room change, she asked us to wait for someone to come clean the room. Standing firm after having to put up with the revolting state of the carpet for one night, she finally relented and gave us another room. The PC was out of order but we were too tired by then to complain. Just wanted to get a night sleep and get out of the hotel first thing in the morning. Sfaffs were unhelpful throughout. Refused to help get taxis, unable to provide information about places of interest etc. Also, I paid over 340yuan per night for a business king size bed. Was given a Business Twin which was cheaper Did not argue as it was not a big thing. The staff were quoting 180yuan to all telephone enquiries for the same type of room. Breakfast in the hotel is best avoided. Soya milk was thin and tasteless. Breakfast room looked like a store room for extra furnitures in the restaurnat - unused tables and chairs were stacked along the glass wall. Used plates and cutleries were cleared after each gust left but table was never wiped or cleaned.
