Excellent Location & Hotel Facilities”
As a family of 4 including 2 kids, we stayed in the Hyatt Regency Vancouver for 4 nights. Great hotel facilities and extremely convenient location with easy access to the Royal Center (with Staples (business/stationery store), supermarket, food court, fast food stores, Starbucks etc.) as well as other shops/cafe/restaurants within walking distance. Friendly, polite and helpful staff towards our requests / questions. We stayed on high floor with beautiful city view. Truly lovely to see sunset from the huge window everyday. We parked our rented car at the hotel using day pass - very convenient and more economical than looking for metered parking in downtown. The Burrard skytrain station and bus stops are located across the street so if you are not driving but relying on public transport, this hotel is also well-located.
Refurbished, Spacious Rooms”
We took Snowbus from Whistler to Vancouver, which stopped at the hotel. Very central location, with Burrard Skytrain Station right in front as well. Close to Robson Street, Pacific Centre, Hudson Bay, etc. Stayed in several hotels in Vancouver before, and can confidently say that the Hyatt is in an unbeatable location. We had connecting rooms at 1211 and 1212. One of the rooms was a corner room which was very spacious. The rooms were modern and nicely refurbished. If there're good promotional rates again, we'll certainly return.
Luxury”
Exactly what you'd expect from a hotel carrying the Hyatt name. Well appointed hotel with very comfortable rooms. Great service from all members of staff. Sitting right in the heart of down town Vancouver, close enough to walk to everything Vancouver has to offer. Admittedly this hotel is not within everyones budget, but if you can squeeze it in you won't be disappointed.
The excellent stay with great location”
I have business meeting (IATA Fuel Forum) in Hyatt Vancouver therefor I stay in Hyatt to easier and avoid rainy day during this week in it. I book Club Room, that beyond my expectation. The room was clean, relatively spacious and have a working desk for me. The staff from reception, bell boy and specially Ms. Ivy in Club Lounge (29th floor) has been helpful and friendly. The location itself is in walking distance for several down town sight seeing and very near station and also tour buses.
Nice Downtown Hotel”
Don't know vancouver that well. But this hotel seems convenient to go to major downtown attractions. All was nearby. I walked to many of these areas. Check was smooth and I got a room with a balcony. There many tall buildings nearby, so the view was slightly blocked. Breakfast was good, but the variety was not great.
Excellent location & wonderful staff”
I had a short stay at the Hotel Club room recently in Vancouver. Situated at the urban centre, the location is excellent just 3 several minutes from the Burrard Station of the Sky Train with lift . It it easy to take about 35 minutes from the airport to the hotel with heavy luggages by t the Sky Train. The staff here are friendly and helpful, shaping a happy memory to out journey. The room is big and clean with all you need.
Canada”
We only stayed for the one night but the staff treated us as if we had been staying with them for days. Storage room for all of our bags while we went site seeing and were also very helpful helping us with our transportation out of Vancouver :)
Very spacious and big hotel ”
Staff was very nice. The hotel was very huge. I got the junior suite and it was very spacious. Bed was very comfortable. Will be staying there again if I ever come back to Vancouver.
Close to great restaurants ”
This was a clean, quite room with a view. Location in downtown Vancouver close to wonderful places to eat and shop. We enjoyed the. pool facilities.
Excellent”
All hotels are very spendy in Vancouver. This was nice and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. We walked to waterfront and Gasworks area. The breakfast included was excellent.
Lovely hotel but bad service”
Totally surprise me that Hyatt Vancouver facilities are so dated with bed so soft and curved in, it gave me a bad backache during my stay. Bed sheets that run out when you pull over the comforter is something I hated most so much so that you will be sleeping on raw mattress by the next morning when you wake. I know about the strict non-smoking policy in all buildings in Vancouver the hard way, only when being fined for $125 dollars by Hyatt on checkout day. Even though I didn't specified non-smoking room in Agoda, Hyatt insisted that a small little card is placed in the room and I ought to have seen it. Well, if you have to fined someone for smoking in the room, the very least you want to enforce this is to make guests sign an acknowledgement form of the smoking fine on checkin, and definitely not imposing it on checkout, like all other hotels do. Complaining to the frontdesk manager, Christina Zinner is totally futile with her telling me literally in my face "Take it or leave it". It's not the fine that bothers me as one has to honour the policy of the country they visit. What ticks me is the attitude of the hotel staff with total zero tact in handling guest, even more so coming from a Hyatt frontdesk manager.
nice hotel,awesome customer service ”
when we were searching for a hotel to stay for our 40th anniversary get away,we chose the hyatt, it had great reviews & excellent location. when we arrived the staff made us feel welcome & were helpful.the hotel had all the ameneties beyond what we utilized.the room was clean & comfortable to relax in. we would definately recommend & return to the hotel on our next travels!
Nice hotel good location”
It is a nice hotel with a very good location in down town Vancouver. Good for family and business. The room is quite large and comfortable.
A modern twist”
We had a quick stay at the Hyatt, and were quite impressed. We did arrive in a hire car on a Friday night, and were told by the bell hop it was only going to cost $12 to self park, but cost us $30 when we paid, so check. The hotel was in a good spot and easy to find, and had a very cool elevator management system that stopped that little dance you do downstairs when trying to work out which one will make it to your floor to grab you. The rooms were comfortable, and being an Aussie abroad my only complaints (which are the same in most US hotels) is that you dont get pasteurised long life milk in the rooms for coffee (just the powdered rubbish). We were also a little disappointed by a lack of decent maps by the tourist board that tell you were to go. We did the convention centre and harbour front areas, plus Gastown then walked towards Chinatown which didnt feel as safe. Later we found out that there are good shopping areas closer to the hotel.
Good location hotel”
I had pleasure time to stay at Hyatt hotel for short business trip. It is good location that I can do both business and shopping. Due to its advantaged location, I can buy gifts for my wife, children with limited time. Also, there are many restaurants near by either in shopping center or on the streets. I also impressed with the staffs at the hotel. They provided professional and helpful services.
Good service hotel”
overall the hotel is good. the hotel staff are very polite and good explanation of the charges when i asked them if i can park at the hotel parking. the hotel rooms seem to be newly renovated. however, only the bed matress are old. i like the hotel location which is in the central downtown. have restaurants near the hotel (within the walking distance) if not eating in the hotel.
Great location and comfort room”
The hotel is located at the downtown and just next to the Sky Train Burrad Station which you could reach everywhere. Walking distance to Canada Place and Waterfront. Hotel staff offered us free wifi in our room. Cool what's a nice treat. The room is spacious and the bed dings was extremely comfy. Highly recommend if anyone is looking for a value-added hotel.
Great Location”
The location is just the heart of the downtown. 10 mins. walks to (1)Canada Place where cruise pier and western coastal train station are located; (2)the famous Robson Street, art galleries, oldest chruch etc. The sky train station "Burrard" just next to the hotel so very convenient to travel to many famous visiting points. A starbruck is at the ground floor lobby with free wi-fi; as well as two malls with food courts, different taste of resturants are adjacent to the hotel. The room is spacious and tidy with good view.
Nice time”
In a Great location, bus from Whistler dropped us off out front. Pretty, standard Hyatt feel. You can take one of the exits into a mall (if the weather is bad, you don't have to even go outside to get to the train station, as well.) Rooms were large, bed was great, very nice views from expansive wall windows. Worth the money and would stay again without hesitation.
Overpriced and Disappointing ”
The Good: great location, close to shopping and transportation. A plus was that we were given a room on the 30th Flr. , plus the hotel provided fresh/fruity tasting water in the lobby. That was really nice. The Bad: Service overall was poor: room key was not activated; wake-up call missed; worn-out towels; bed sheet was torn; cleaning lady missed cleaning the room one day; unqualified staff serving both as concierge and bellman (really??!!). We purchased a tour through the hotel; the pickup was 30 minutes late with no communication from the tour company or Hyatt. We had to relay to the concierge the tour bus was a no-show 3 times before they took any action. Imagine, two seniors at age 67 and age 65 standing on the sidewalk waiting for the pickup not knowing whether they were going to show. No seats to sit on while waiting, no apologies from the tour company or Hyatt. Fabulous experience, NOT. For another tour, the 'concierge' handed us a number to call. 2-star hotel!
