Great picturesque Sydney location”
Looking to work and relax in Sydney? Look no further. Hyde Park Inn is great for business travellers, not just for the affordable hotel rates and free fast wifi but it is literally a few streets away from the bustle of George Street and just across the road from the peaceful scenic view of Hyde Park. I love the walk down the street through the park for a morning walk before walking in to the many nearby restaurants for delightful breakfast options. At the heart of CBD, your cab fare is very much minimalized and the subway station is just 5 to 8 minutes walk away. The room is very spacious and comes with all the amenities you need with the staff greeting you with a smile very day. Truly a great place to stay when you are at Sydney!
Awesome weekend city getaway!”
Our stay at the Hyde Park Inn was a very pleasant one and an affordable weekend stay for Sydney.... I could not fault the hotel with anything at all! A little minor downside may be the Wi-Fi, offered free only for the first 24 hrs once logged in & then you will need to pay there after but we were out and about a lot so didn't bother us. Location was fantastic; just a mere walk to Pitt & George St for shops and restaurants/cafes... Musuem station is just a stones throw to get to your places of interest... Hyde Park with the Pool of Reflection is just across the road for some chillaxing! We got a room on the higher levels with a balcony overlooking Hyde Park, so the view was a bonus. Room was clean and beds were comfortable enough. We also had underground parking at the hotel by request, so an added convenience as Sydney parking is notoriously expensive and a downright nightmare! Highly recommend this hotel, I would not hesitate to stay here again!
Loved the view of Hyde Park”
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was modern, clean and had restful decor. Our room on he 8th floor was high enough to have a great view down on the trees and ANZAC Memorial of Hyde Park. Having some diet restrictions, we appreciated the little kitchen and the 2 grocery stores just a few blocks away. The free downtown shuttle goes right past the Hyde Park Inn, and we used it several times, once just to orient ourselves to the area. The one thing we missed was the availability of free wifi. Why do inexpensive hotels often offer this, but not the nicer places? We'd love to return to Sydney someday and would certainly consider staying again at the Hyde Park Inn.
So clean and very helpful staff”
I cannot recommend the Hyde Park Inn highly enough. My daughter and I came into Sydney to buy dresses for my son’s wedding. I contacted them when I booked to ask whether we could park our car early. They were very helpful. We parked our car from 9.30am and to our surprise, our room was also ready and we were given an upgrade to a larger room. We were only staying one night but they also allowed us to park our car there all day the following day as well, no charge. The reception staff were lovely. The room was immaculately clean and the beds were very comfortable. If I ever need to stay in Sydney overnight again I will be staying here. We were a couple of blocks from the main shopping area and Hyde Park was across the road. Just the perfect location.
Clean, spacious apartment”
We booked a two bedroom apartment at the Hyde Park Inn Hotel and were very pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of the apartment, the fittings, and cleanliness. the bedrooms were spacious, there was a lounge and a 4 person dining table, and a good sized kitchen which was well equipped with crockery. A continental breakfast was provided by way of toast, juice, milk, butter etc left in the fridge on a daily basis. There was an ironing board and iron, microwave, hotplates. While there was plenty of crockery and glassware, there were no pots or similar, which didn't worry us. the apartment also had two balconies - lounge and main bedroom. The doors/windows are double glazed so there was minimal traffic noise. The location is directly opposite the War Memorial at the end of Hyde Park. Its about a 15 minute walk from Central Station, and slightly less from Town Hall Museum Station is directly opposite, or if you walk around the corner to Liverpool St, there is an entry on that street. We caught the train from Museum directly to the airport - 15 minute ride. Would definitely stay here again. If you had to work in Sydney for a few weeks it would be a very comfortable.
Great location for family travel with young kids”
-We were very glad to stay in Hyde Park as our very first travel in Sydney. The location was very good with lots of choices of restaurants just within 10 mins walk. Also, Darling Harbour is just 15 mins away and we found a great playground for kids to spend hours there. -We went to Brisbane , Gold Coast and Sydney this trip, throughout our trip in Australia, we noticed that face towels were generally not available in any apartment nor hotel that we stay. Hyde Park is the only except here. So a big plus. - If you are driving to Hyde park, make sure you leave a comment to reserve garage space underneath. Otherwise, you will need to park in the multi-story parking lot which is 3 blocks away. (free parking though)
Perfect location, amenities and staff”
I have stayed in many hotels all over the world and this medium sized hotel ticks all the boxes with large, clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, modern updated kitchenette with all appliances, right in the centre of Sydney, Pitt Street and Westfield Shopping Centre. My son had a 6am flight to Thailand so being located directly across from Museum railway station on the East Hills line to the airport made it so easy. There was myself and my son and the room had a very comfortable queen bed and a single bed. Hyde Park is beautiful and safe at any time of the day or night with security guards patrolling all the time. The room has a balcony overlooking the park and we stayed on the 14th floor (max 15 floors) where we had an uninterrupted view of the harbour as well and plenty of fresh air. The entire experience was wonderful and I will definitely be staying there again, in fact, I am not interested in staying anywhere else when in the heart of Sydney.
Convenient, comfortanle and fabulous”
It was a very good experience to stay here. The room is very clean and relaxing design. The location is very close to the Museum Station, and I can see the beautiful Hyde Park from the window of my room. The hotel provide Free Wifi as well, and the stuff here are very friendly. I will choose Hyde Park Inn again if I come to Sydney again.
Great location, but a little noisy”
hyde park inn is a good enough hotel, but the best thing is the location. you're right across the street from hyde park inn and from the museum metro stop, which means you can walk to lots of what the city has to offer, or take the subway to what you can't walk to. we had a room facing the street which meant a good view, but the area is pretty noisy at night. seems like every night there was an ambulance screaming past, so you may want to ask for a room not facing the street. the room itself is just fine, we had a double bed and a single bed which would have been great for a family with a kid. also, breakfast isn't much, better to walk down the street to a cafe.
The staff were very helpful and the room was very clean and comfortable (room 301) we had a back room which had no windows, however there was plenty of light through a glass brick wall. The room was very quiet with no street noise which made for a very solid sleeping environment. The supplied breakfast was simple but adequate. The location was situated right on Hyde Park and only a few blocks from Darling Harbour and a 20 min walk to the OperaHouse., shops and restaurant were just outside and the room had provision to cook if required although cooking instruments were limited. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for a stay in Sydney.
We love this hotel”
We have had two great stays at Hyde Park Inn Hotel. The rooms are good size for kids and the deluxe rooms with the kitchenette are perfect. The Hotel is in a great central location, close to public transportation and walking distance to most tourist sights, restaurants and shopping. It's location across from Hyde Park has been great to allow the kids some time to run and have fun. We have recommended this Hotel to all our friends and will be great. The coffee shop right outside the hotel is great and the owner very friendly.
Great place to stay.”
We choose to stay at the Hyde Park Inn whenever we go to Sydney. It has always been very good. Just a couple of things this time - there was no iron in the room, although the staff responded quickly and delivered one to the room. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom. Apart from these minor things it was, as usual, an excellent place to stay. We would recommend it to anyone.
We came to Sydney to visit the art gallery and do some touristy things around the city. We were very happy with the free breakfast and parking. They also let us leave our car there until 2pm which was awesome. The room had a nice view over Hyde Park and it was really quiet. The room was very clean and spacious and the beds very comfortable. This is a terrific location for restaurants, movies, gallery, museum and shopping. We really enjoyed our stay. Great value for money, probably the only criticism would be it would have been great to have Netflix.
Great location and good service”
the hotel's location is perfect - within walking distance to major shopping and dining areas including china town and darling harbor. It sits right beside hyde park..thus the name..across the park is australian museum, st. mary's cathedral and on the other side - the sydney tower eye! from the airport - take the airport link (train) and in 15 mins you get off at museum station -- right across from the hotel!
We were delighted with every aspect of our stay at the Hyde Park Inn including facilities and a nice continental breakfast waiting for us in the frig. Would definitely recommend it as a very conventient and comfortable place to stay in Sydney
Very Good Location ”
Hype Park Inn is conveniently located right in front of Hyde Park. If you stay at the higher floors, you would get an awesome view of the park and see the sunrise. But being at a busy street, you do hear the vehicles drive by. It is very near the Museum Station and a comfortable walk to Town Hall Station. Bus stops are also located very near the hotel. It is also walkable to George Street, Pitt Street, Queen Victoria Building, World Square Shopping Center and Chinatown. If you have the time and energy, you can even walk from Hyde Park to St. Mary’s Cathedral, all the way Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair. The room has a small kitchen with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster. The shower has a hair and body shampoo. So if you prefer using a bar of soap, I suggest you bring your own.
My wife and myself returned from a trip to New Zealand sailing on the Ovation of the Seas and having not been to Sydney before, we decided to stay 2 nights at the Hyde Park Inn. All staff were very accommodating to all our requests. Great location for a short stay with all Transport facilities very near.
Great value ”
I didn't expect too much from this hotel because it wasn't expensive and pretty much the only one with parking included in the heart of Sydney CBD within our budget, but it totally wowed us. The room is big and clean. Staff were friendly, great location. There's train station cross the road and food outlets are walking distance. Car park is a bit tight but I was just happy that parking is included. Also, continental breakfast was included too. Definitely good value for money. Would 100% recommend.
New year in Sydney in a great hotel”
We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights over New Year 2014 , had a fabulous time, good food and drink outlets nearby, Hyde park is just a walk over the street, this hotel is in a great location for Darling harbour, just a quick walk to the transport hub of Circular Quay. A short walk to the rocks district, i would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in central sydney.
2nd Stay, just as good as the first one!”
This was my 2nd stay at Hyde Park Inn with my 2 young grandsons. We like the proximity to the park and the station and it's easy walking distance to so much the city has to offer. If you're not up for walking there are buses and trains running so often that it's easy to get where you want to. The staff are excellent and the rooms big and clean. The price had gone up about $50 per night in the 6 month gap between my stays, which was a little disappointing, but it still is the best around for the price.
