If you decide to stay here, please use the reviews to set your expectations. Lower your expectations below what the reviews say. Common negative themes are all true: - the front desk staff is inhospitable, and in some cases downright rude - you will likely be checked in late - the other staff is largely clueless (except for the restaurant/pool) - rules seem to apply to some, but not all - the rooms, though they are sleek with a nice view, have strange things wrong with them - the elevators are extremely annoying - you will be charged fees not previously disclosed (check your statement for a “cleaning fee”) Each of these things alone are not awful, but combined they are a recipe for frustration that simmers through your entire stay. That said, if you happen to avoid the rude customer service, don’t use the elevators often and spend your entire stay at the pool or in your room, you will enjoy yourself. Worst experience ”
I travel a great deal for my job to include domestic and international travel. The Hyde is truly a great hotel as far as location and views. But here we're the issue we ran into... 1. Room wasn't ready on day of check in until 8pm....nowhere to go and they didn't offer any accommodations until after I demanded they do something at 8pm. Room still wasn't ready so I got an upgrade which should've been offered from the beginning. 2. The hotel doesn't have enough towels EVER!!! we didn't have wash cloths the entire stay bit one extremely helpful staff member bought some with her own money. Never any beach towels for guest....never got one the entire week long stay. 3. The beaches are restrictive with food beverages and chairs and umbrellas. You can't have your own but they don't have enough to accommodate after charging 20 per chair and umbrella......they also take the chairs at 5pm no matter what. Sunset is roughly 750pm. 4. Security is inconsistent at its best. We had guest come and visit with no problem the first 4 days then all of a sudden guest need wrist bands!! 5. The valet had a text and phone line for your vehicle.....they never got my text and when they did they say oh your room number wasn't on your ticket.....but the entire service runs off of the ticket number which was provided....takes 20 minutes to get your vehicle at average. 6. Once we did get our room at 8pm there was no toilet paper and the toilet had public hair and tissue in the seat. 7. Housekeeping doesn't clean your room unless you stay more than 6days..... 8. At the rate the Hyde charges they have the audacity to make you dump your own trash and change your own sheets. Not to mention thru give you nothing to clean with or wash dishes....no paper towels..etc.... I would never and I mean never stay here again and trust me when I say I understand some of these things at an actual efficiency hotel but this is 4 star plus hotel that is not classified or advertised as an efficiency so my overa

The resort’s pool (a major draw for small children) was closed and had been closed for 2 months. They had to advise us of this before paying up front. The beach staff was made up of a bunch of hooligans with no interest in helping. Never Again!!

Staff and Cleanliness ”
My room was filthy. Clumps of hair in shower. Dirty balcony with nut shells, fingernail file. Balcony glass so dirty you cannot look through grime. Socks between bed and wall. STAINS THROUGHOUT LIVINGROOM. Sofa, floor, table, etc all stained from previous guest. Toilet and sink clogged or slow drain. Some of the electrical sockets did not have power. No staff (front desk, housekeeping) until 9am. NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. I had a business meeting at 7:30am. Requested wash clothe and was told I cannot get any until 9 am. Ms. Thomas at the front desk is very unwelcoming. She actually very NASTY. Nothing but attitude. And there is 1 elevator for 30+ floors. The most disappointing part is when I wanted to relax I could not because I had to leave to allow them to clean my room properly. A whole day wasted. Money down the drain. FIND A REAL RESORT. The staff is not the best and it is not worth what you spend... DIRTY, unprofessional, and not relaxing.

I would not recommend ”
The Hyde Resorts and Residences was an ultimate disappointment. There was one elevator in a huge 40+ floors building. The wait time for an elevator was 15 minutes on average. The room that I was placed in was awful. The partial ocean view was a view of a building and nothing else. My room was not stocked with towels, wash cloths, pots and pans, plates, NOTHING. My oven was broken and I hired a private chef and they were unable to use that listed amenity. Every time I called the front desk for assistance, I was told they were sending someone up, and no one ever came. I spent way too much money on this resort and it was nothing more than despicable. I would not recommend. Marriot Hotels and Resorts are worth the money, not the Hyde!

The hotel is incredibly filthy. First they checked us into the room that wasn’t even clean. It would be unacceptable always, but during a pandemic it’s just crazy. After we at switched rooms to a “clean” room, there are steins all over the couch, our feet are black from walking barefoot on the floor, the decorative pillows look like they went through hell and back. It’s pretty bad all around! Oh! The hotel is packed, elevator wait times run 15-20 minutes each way and there are over 10 people in each elevator - zero social distancing.

Front desk employees are unfriendly ( morning shift) and super arrogant Front desk employees (pm shift) May 12th-14th very pleasant and friendly , very helpful Rooms are super dirty, very dirty. Spots on carpet Hotel is rated as a 4 star but not true! I would not give it 4 stars! It is a shame! Pool deck has not enough umbrellas And pools are small compared to the size of the building. Elevator is a big issue you have to wait a long time! Beach team very pleasant and helpful! Overall ... I would never ever put one foot into the Hyde Resort and Residences!

Honest feedback of stay Dec 25 to Jan 2”
This is an honest review of Hyde Resort & Residences at Hollywood Florida. Positives: 1) Good location 2) Rooms have good view Negatives: 1) Front staff NEVER answers the phone 2) This is a time share condo that is booked via Agoda. As such, there is no customer service. I am asked to contact owner of condo for issues. I have no idea who this is. 3) No soap, towels, toilet tissue. For a hotel costing $500/night. This is UNACCEPTABLE 4) Parking is additional $35/day on top of $500/day room charge. Getting car takes over 20 minutes. 5) Only four elevator service 41 floors, with 12 rooms per floor. This is approximately 444 rooms, since not all floors have rooms. One is service elevator, leaving three for customers. Expect 10 minutes or more wait. Just going to swimming pool on 9th floor from 33 floor takes over 10 minues 6) One of elevators was broken, so only two in service for 4 of our 8 days of stay 7) A/C in room does not work. Took two days to fix.

Modern Hotel”
I can see why they get 7’s. The place is very nice but they have kinks. 1. They r under fire watch. The System does not work., big orange sticker. This made me nervous when I saw it after checking in. 2. Limited towels, rugs wash cloths in bathroom. 3. In hour 2 bedroom unit freezing in one room hot in another, they responded. One room hotter by 10 degrees there 3 days didn’t resolve problem. 4. I have to say their food was very good BIG surprise. 5. Staff were doing good job to be attentive. They would bring whatever u needed but who wants to call for forks, wine corks, hot water, k com ups, paper cups. When they get their act together it’s going to be great place to stay. Will try again.

Overall okay, understaffed, long waits”
Overall a good value based on $230 per night during Christmas break on Ocean Drive. HOWEVER, we almost left the hotel after our initial check-in because the room was filthy - crumbs and dirt on the carpet, and the bathroom wall had red/brown splash marks. The hotel would not move rooms but they sent a cleanup crew. Hotel was severely understaffed. Key cards constantly stopped working and front desk took 2-5 mins to reissue a new keycard. Should’ve been much quicker.

Nice but not worth the money”
Hotel was clean and the rooms had nice amenities, but the elevators were a nightmare. Only four elevators to serve the entire 30+ story building with over 400 rooms. You had to line up to get an elevator in the lobby, and oftentimes we waited over 10 minutes for an elevator upstairs and just ended up walking down 17 floors rather than trying to catch one. There aren't enough staff, especially at the check in desk and concierge, so there is always a line and wait there too. Overall nice building, but for that kind of money would have expected better service and functioning elevators.

Poor service, nice property that is poorly maintained ”
Check in at 4pm, arrived at 5pm, only two agents, waited 20 minutes and my unit was not ready. Every day at 5pm I saw long lines. Breakfast is $18, but it is awful, pastries were soggy, quality and selection comparable to a Motel 6 (which is way cheaper, and thus justified) Properly was probably nice, but it is a bit run down, too much traffic and not well run obviously. Beach chairs are super dirty and old, I asked for more towels to ensure I didn't touch the fabric. In summary, they pretend to be a luxury resort, they are really a 3 star resort that is overpriced.

Not the best hotel for your money ”
First we had to see 4 other rooms because almost all the rugs and couches had many stains and dirty. The hallway rugs to the rooms are dirty. The elevators took more then 35 minutes to be able to go down, mind you they only have 4 for a big hotel. Also parking is $25 a night if you stay 4 days or more. My 5yr old son got cut on his toe because the pool area has broken tile and the security guard said he couldn't leave to get a bandaid or antibiotic since he had to stay supervising the pool. Mind you blood was dripping everywhere and no one cleaned it. Went to the front desk with a trail if blood and to see if someone could help and literally had to sit my son on the desk with blood still coming out of his tied toe to get thier attention. They still kept talking and waited a good 10min before getting me a big bandaid and that was it. Also you pay 25 in resort fee but they dont come clean but 1 time. I complained about the whole situation to the hotel and they still haven't done anything nor reached out to me regarding my son! Also the beds were not as rented they were smaller. Mind you that when you go to the pool area they have cabanas that are free but they have this guy that wont let you use them unless you give him your phone to do a review which he doesn't put what you tell him he puts a perfect review and even write as you are extremely happy with the stay. Not the best experience! We ended yo getting a better room that had tile and rug areas room 3705 if you plan on staying there to see for your self.
