Cheap but a Tad Dirty”
When we arrived at I-Talay we had to wait around 15 min. for someone to come check us in. The room was a little bit dirty but not too bad. Its not really a resort or even a hotel. Its just a converted house. Maybe only 5 rooms here. Definitely do not book if you are looking to have a romantic getaway. Definitely book if your on a budget and you don't mind renting a scooter since the location is a bit far from the main beaches.

Hotel right at the pier”
Was ok for 3 nights but didnt get cleaned. Reception is opposite health center, not in the same building. Room size was okay, hot shower, TV (only thai channels). However, rather pricy when you stay on a weekend (approx. 30 Dollars). You can go to nicer places for less money.

I moved hotels as soon as I booked in. Thankfully there was a sister hotel that weren't much better but in a different location. Having said that you dont get much for your money on Samed

A room in a quaint little house”
Place was clean with homey decoration, but room hardly has standing space so not ideal if you have lots of luggage, or even any luggage. The pier to Ban Phe and 7-11 are both 2 steps away, and it's about a 15 minute walk to Sai Kaew beach.

Nothing much that just right at the pier. Maybe something like "Blue House" of same owner might be more interesting, with decoration and location nearer to Sai Kaew Beach. Bedsheets too old.

noisy, basic room”
the rooms were really basic without windows, broken beds, you could hear every hair falling from any other room. there was only cleaning every other day, and only if you brought them your key. our second room didn't have hot water, and had a window out to the hallway without curtain, so you had the light shining into the room everytime somebody would come home or go out, and with a small chair, everybody could watch my sister in the room.

we are dissapointed with the room, and the service, which we have to call to get the keys, and there is nobody at reception, never, you have to call them over the phone, the room we have had humidity on roof,cracks on wall, bathroom no comfortable and not weel design, water stays on floor,

Sehr sauber schönes Zimmer hatten Spaß mit Balkon! Kühlschrank Bad Dusche Bett alles super für den Preis in Samet wo eh alles ziemlich teuer ist! Hatten aber roller und weg von der Stadt Strand is total voll! Zuviel touris! Gibt bessere Strände auf der Insel die nicht voll sind und schöner! Hotel jeder Zeit wieder auch freundliches und hilfsbereites personal

Das erste, was mir nach der Ankunft eingefallen ist, war die Tatsache, dass es an der Rezeption niemanden gab, der mich einchecken könnte. Leer. Das Hotel stand sperrangelweit offen. Ich habe wohl 45 Minuten gewartet, bis die Inhaberin gekommen ist. Für mich ist das ein unzulässiges Verhalten. Das Zimmer ganz OK. Klein, aber rein.
