Another fantastic stay at the Ibis Amsterdam Centre.”
We are frequent visitors to Amsterdam (over 30 visits) and have stayed in a number of hotels across the city, however the Ibis Amsterdam Centre is now our "go to" hotel. The location next to the railways station is perfect for us. I expected some noise from the station, however even with trains trundling by outside the window, it was barely audible (with double-glazing windows closed). The rooms are well laid out with enough storage space to suit the casual traveller, the decor is bright and clean, and the room well lit. The bed was large and very comfortable and we had no trouble getting a full nights rest. The staff were very friendly and eager to assist, and made our stay all the more welcoming. We would like to say thank you very much to the gentleman who checked us in (unfortunately I cannot recal his name, and Naima, her thoughtfulness and attention to details made our stay that much more enjoyable. Thank you for a great stay.
I had been stay over nights in Amsterdam many times since 1997 for my business trips. This is the first time that I stay in this hotel as my friend suggested.I 'd to say that Ibis Amsterdam Centre hotel is my most preferred hotel. It is value for money for its convenience, comfortable room, professional staff.
Need to Walk/Bike a Lot”
We thanked our stars we chose this hotel for our stay. It was nearly midnight when we arrived at the Amsterdam Centraal, and it was raining (in June!). It's only a very short walk from the edge of the station to the hotel, so we didn't get drenched. It's a typical Ibis. Small but nice room, tiny bathroom. As far as I remember there was no restaurant, but the hotel sold food and drinks at the lobby. The staff was helpful, and being in Amsterdam, they speak English very well. From the hotel, we need to walk some distance to get to the nearest tram stop. But on the plus side, the walk was enjoyable because there were many interesting old buildings to see. It wasn't very far to the pier where you find canal cruise boats. Eateries are plenty, though you have to walk across a big canal to the downtown area. And if you plan to go the Zaanse Schaan, the tour starts at the Amsterdam Tower just across the canal to the other side of the hotel. Pretty convenient!
The hotel is only 3minutes walk beside Amsterdam Centraal Station. The room size is quitr small but comfortable for 2 adults + 1 little kid. Room and toilet are clean. If you are travelling with children and need two connecting rooms, do book in advance as the hotel occupancy rate is extremely high. Price is acceptable for such a prime location. At least it save you some train ticket coat of ataying outside the city centrum.
I will stay at Ibis again for sure if and when i visited Amsterdam again. Why? Because of the location. It is so convenient. It's just beside the central train station. Plus, it is also near the tram station (so going to anywhere in Amsterdam isn't a hassle). Ten minutes walk away and you;re already the their night life district (hahaha). Plus, they got great staff who will do anything to assist you (I left my passport at my hotel room and I was already on the train halfway back to Paris when I realized this but their wonderful staff assisted me to retrieve my passport! yey!)
Good location and comfortable room”
I have a good stay at ibis Amsterdam Centre. The hotel is situated at strategic location right next to Amsterdam Central and it is within walking distance to most of the tourist spots as well as restaurants. It is very convenient. The room is cosy, spacious and very clean despite that it is a little noisy as it is just right next to the train station. Moreover the staff are friendly and willing to help.
consider P+R for traveller by car”
stay for 2 nights. No Parking, hotel staff suggest to go to nearest public parking across the river. and it is very expensive. 50 Euro per night, while i paid hotel through agoda for 59 Euro. on second day, we put our car on P+R Zeeburg outside amsterdam for 1 Euro per day, and paid 5.60 Euro tram ticket for 4 persons vv from Zeeburg to hotel in 15 minutes. P+R need some efforts, cant use my Visa or Master, so must ask help local people to use their card & we pay them cash. thanks to a lady with her mom that help to pay 5.60 Euro for 4 ticket Zeeburg to Amsterdam Central (Hotel) vv. when we took car next day, we ask a gentleman to pay 1 Euro for us, he helped us, thanks, and dont want to be paid... thanks again. the best is for traveller by train, i think. my room has a very nice view of train station, harbour... like it so much.
perfect hotel to visit amsterdam city. almost all attractions are within walking distance. many restaurants around the corner. canal cruise is just opposite. next door of amsterdam central station. you can reach amsterdam central in the mid night and walk to ibis. very convinient. helpful staff. one of the most convinient hotels i have ever stayed in europe.
The place was relatively cheap compared to other properties in Amsterdam, however still much more expensive than hotels in neighboring cities. We got a cozy room which was super small and compact and a bit challenging to stay in if you have 2 luggage’s to open up and use from. However the facilities, cleanliness and location was great. Right in front of the Central Station so far off distances were easier to get to and the Dam Square and Red Light District was also between 10-15 mins walk which is super convenient. Overall I’d stay in Ibis again but I’d try to find a place with a little more room size before that.
Best stay during my trip in Europe”
No other hotels will be as close as the Amsterdam Centraal Station like this, very surprising! Easy to go anywhere you want! The central station is just next to you! The room is tidy and clean, baggage keeping service is also good after checkout. The main street is just opposite of the hotel, this will be my only choice if I go to Amsterdam again.
Fantastic location in Amsterdam ”
This is a great hotel in a fantastic location for a short stay in Amsterdam. It's right next to the station and a short walk to the centre of Amsterdam. The rooms are relatively small. The bathroom was in good condition. The only drawback is that the ventilation is poor, the rooms are very very warm. There's an in room safe and a kettle can be obtained from reception. I would stay here again
It's right next tot the central station which is the perfect location because you always have to travel into Amsterdam and out of Amsterdam from there. The rooms were a little small but for a short stay it's perfect. Very comfy beds. Decent shower too. God value for money. We paid a little more because we went over the gay pride festival. But ibis is a good brand to stay at.
Superb location, good price, next to railway”
Ibis is just next to Amsterdam central station. Trains and trams are readily available. 20mins by train from Schipol airport and also walking distance to the main areas in the dam, take the trams to the nearby shopping areas. Superb location!
CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, CONVENIENT”
The Hotel ibis was excellent. Like all hotels in Amsterdam, not cheap...but loved the location near the city center. Easy walking distance to everything in the heart of the city. Very clean, comfortable hotel. Rooms are abit on the small size, but typical of European hotels. Cold Heiniken was available in the vending machine in the hallway, bonus!
I really love how close it is to the amsterdam centraal station! Other than that, it’s a typical ibis room, it’s nothing luxurious but fit all your basic needs.
Why ibis in amsterdam do not have coin washing machine like ibis in japan, singapore, i thought all ibis have that kind of facility. It is better ibis amsterdam has also the coin washing machine.
Nice and Convnient”
The location is nice, it just beside for the Amsterdam Central train station. I like this hotel so much, it not only the place located, but also the staff is nice. The room is ok, just if the store luggage place can be more space, it will perfect. it too limited. I like it very much, i will come again for this for sure.
Relax and comfort”
No major issue except that we have problem when changing the currency. We have problem buying things as shops reject our big notes (Euro$200 and Euro$500). When ask the customer service that can we change the big notes to smaller ones (Euro$50) they mention they are unable to. Which result in us having problem shopping and dinning at Amsterdam.
Convenient & pleasant stay”
Pleasant stays, strategic location just next to amsterdam central station, &many famous tourism places, good security system, comfortable beds. Even though kettle was not available in the room, staffs were helpful enough to lend us during the stay without any deposits required. There was also luggage storage rooms available in ground floor for customers conveniences. Generally, we were satisfied with what we have paid.
The hotel located at only 2 minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal station, the hotel building is connected and above the train platform, therefore it was very convenience to traveler who has plan to tour to visit several city in Nederlands, you can easily reach to station. Nice breakfast style, also have the restaurant at lobby that you can order it and bring the food in to your room.
