    Very Clean, Cheap and Convient!”

    Clean, New, Practical, Fair Price

This is not the first time I stayed at Ibis Sathorn. Ibis has everything you need: very clean, new decoration (I have old places with dirty carpets), practical and all this with a fair price. The food is also good. Breakfast could be cheaper. The only thing I believe they need improve is the internet. Nowdays everybody travels with laptop and wants to use wifi. They could charge a competitive price and also make money with internet. The wifi is too expensive and to use the computer at the lobby is also more expensive than the internet shop right in front of the hotel. You dont have bars around but the taxi in bangkok is so cheap that you can go everywhere without spending a lot of money.

    Clean no frills hotel”

    Clean & cheap

This is a good budget hotel. The room I was in was not very big but there was adequate space. The bathroom was also a bit small but, most importantly, it was clean. The location of this hotel is great if you have an interest in Thai boxing as it is a short walk from Lumpini Stadium. There is also an MRT station nearby which makes commuting easy when there is a traffic jam. As an inexpensive hotel, there is not much wrong with the Ibis Sathorn. However, there was no complimentary wifi service in the rooms. Although free wifi was available in the lobby, this was slightly inconvenient. Since so many hotels in Bangkok, both more expensive and less expensive, do offer complimentary wifi in the rooms it would be sensible for Ibis to rectify this as soon as possible.

    BEST AGODA DEAL”

    CLEAN, LOCATION , NICE ENVIRONMENT.

I HAD A VERY PLEASANT EXPERIENCE AT THE IBIS BANGKOK SATHORN. I LIKE THE LOCATION. IT IS NOT IN A VERY BUSY LOCATION MORE OF INSIDE THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THE LUMPINI MRT IS ABOUT A 3 MIN. WALK EXIT #1 THEN TO THE RIGHT, ABOUT A BLOCK THERE IS A BANK AT CORNER TURN RIGHT. THE HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN, VERY QUIET. BREAKFAST HAS GOOD ENOUGH VARIETY,REASONABLE NOT BORING FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS. THE LOCATION HAS 7-11 OUTSIDE, SOME FOOD PLACES, MASSAGE PLACES AND RIGHT AT RAMA 1V RD A FEW VENDORS. SUKHUMVIT IS 1 STOP FROM THE MRT. STAFF SPEAKS ENGLISH AND CAN HELP YOU LOCATE PLACES. THERE IS A TRAVEL BOOKING AT THE FRONT DESK WILL ADVICE YOU IF YOU ONLY HAD 2/3 DAYS. I LOVE BOOKING THRU AGODA AND WITH PAYPAL TRAVELING IN ASIA IS A LO EASIER.

    Great Deal”

Love this hotel. Super clean rooms. Furnishings are sort of IKEA-inspired, but comfortable enough. This hotel is located out of the main tourist area, but the subway is only a 10-minute walk away. I’m in Bangkok every year for a few months and I always carve out some time to stay in this part of the city . When I do, I always stay at the Ibis Sathorn. There are several other Ibis Hotels in Bangkok. The two I know of are in busy tourist areas. This Ibis is a short walk to wonderful Lumpini Park as well.

    Ibis Sathorn Bangkok”

Price, new, clean and well appointed
    No pool

This is a great hotel for the price. Benefits from the Ibis 'brand' treatment, so staff are well trained and attentive, the building is new and looks good, is clean and well designed. Very good restaurant, serving Thai and western food. Good little bar with outside terrace, showing TV (sports, etc.) on projector screen in the evenings. Rooms are pleasant, with small bathroom, to the standard Ibis formula - nothing fancy - but very clean, modern and comfortable. You can't open the window, though, and no balcony. Parking, which was fine for me, but if you don't have a car, you will need to take a taxi / motorcycle to where you're going. Not a problem, as they're always available outside. Basically, though, it's a good central location to get to the main business, shopping and entertainment districts. I live elsewhere in Thailand, but always use this place to stay on my frequent visits to Bangkok. It's a great deal.

    Inexpensive and convenient”

We had an overnight stop at Laem Chabang Port on our Asian cruise, so we stayed one night at the Ibis Bangkok Sathorn. The hotel is down a narrow street and a bit out of the way in a rundown neighbourhood. The hotel itself is clean and modern and our room although small (about the same size as the oceanview stateroom we had on the Volendam) was spotless and met our needs for the one night. We took about a half hour taxi ride to the Grand Palace and the tuk-tuk driver we used to take us back to the hotel had trouble finding it. Our friend who lives in Bangkok told us that that wasn't unusual as taxi and tuk-tuk drivers often don't where hotels are situated. We had a delicious meal at an excellent restaurant a short walk away and there were a few restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

Holiday in Bangkok 8 days augus 2009”

Room was clean and new. Area quiet at night, yet no problems to get a taxi.
No nice view out of window (but I didn't come there for a view and didn't expect one), toilet-paper a bit difficult to reach because under the washing basin

I stayed in the Ibis Sathorn for eight days August/September 2009. In walking distance to Babylon Sauna, Lumpini park, subway station Lumpini, 7-eleven around the corner. Internet in hotel, many Internet-cafes can be found on the street. Staff was always friendly. I can only recommend this hotel (in fact, I stayed there because it was recommended by a friend) and I think I will stay there again when I come back to Bangkok (I surely will).

    A great friendly place”

After staying in the the same hotel not far away for several years we decided on a change. The Ibis was on the way two to the homes of two friends not all that far away and closer to several restaurants. While it was further away from the Lumphini MRT station, the Ibis offers a free hourly shuttle bus service to either Lumpini MRT or to Sala Daeng Skytrain stational. Although the rooms are smaller then we were used to at our previous hotel, they were very well designed with everything you need. The reception, lounge and dining areas we're bright and colourful. The breakfast which is included in the price was really good. We have decided that in future on our twice or three times a year visit to Bangkok we will stay there. Well recommended. Our only suggestion is that while there is adequate hanging space, that the hotel installs drawers or even open shelves under the long benxh, as cases can be stored under the very comfortable bed. A big plus is that the fridge is not stacked with the usually overpriced drinks and snacks whi h most people take out to put their own in. You buy your own from a shop and put them into the fridge.

    Excellent Place to Stay”

I stay at the Ibis Sathorn in Bangkok twice or three times a year when it is more convenient for me to be in that part of the city. It is a great value for the money. It is very clean, quiet, and the staff is wonderful. Checking in and out is terrific. The buffet breakfast for about $6 US is well worth the price, although they could be a little faster replenishing food. But overall, I'd give this place a 9 out of 10. If it were located in the Sukhumvit area, I'd stay there all the time. There is one in the Sukhumvit area, but I do not like it as much as it is located on noisy Soi 4 with all the bars. If that's your thing, then that's your place!

    clean room

I have been staying with Ibis sathorn for many times and I have always find it really clean , comfortable and the location is great. The staff have always been really helpful n friendly. But for my stay this particular trip, I was very disappointed with the front desk staff from the moment I check in till I departed. They were not as friendly and as helpful as the previous visits that I had. When I asked for help, they made me wait for a long time and gave you this feeling that you were disturbing them. But the room service staff were great as they cleaned up the room well and response quickly to any call for help. Anyway I will still go back to ibis sathorn as I really like the hotel and the location. The mrt is about 5 mins walk away and it's a short distance to town by the mrt though you hav to change to a sky train one stop away. You can also take the mrt direct to chatuchak market , but stop at the stop after chatuchak park, which is kamphaeng phet as the station is rite inside the market. There's a 7-11 which is right in front of the hotel, which is very well stocked. To the right of the 7-11 if you walk down , you will find many local street stalls selling food. Although ibis sathorn is not right in the middle of the main shopping area, it is close enough while away from all the noise and bustle.

    Ibis Sathorn Hotel Bangkok ”

New hotel, nice location and friendly staff.
Breakfast is not included and 7 minutes walk to Lumpini MRT station.

Ibis Sathorn Hotel Bangkok is a new hotel. It is just start operating 1~2 months ago. The hotel is nice, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The hotel location is fine but the Lumpini MRT station is a bit far which is about 7 minutes walk. It is a walking distance to Suan Lung Night Bazaar. For those who is the Fitness First members, you may use the fitness facility at Q. House building which is about 7 minutes walk from the hotel. On the other hand, there's a 7 Eleven which is just around the corner on the right hand side of the hotel. Besides, there are few Internet cafes which located just beside the hotel. If you are hungry, you may go to Mali Restaurant which offers a good food for breakfast, lunch or dinner! The restaurant is nice decorated and you feel like home when dining at Mali Restaurant! The owner is an American and he is very friendly and helpful. Besides, the staff is very nice and friendly too! You know, the Sweden Royal family had visited this restaurant in 2002. You may find their pictures on the wall and even in the menu!! You may ask the hotel staff for direction... If I have a chance to visit Bangkok again, Ibis Sathorn Hotel Bangkok will be one of my choice!

    Insufficient Staff”

I've stayed here several times and enjoyed it. My only complaint is that there never seems to be sufficient staff in the dining room specifically after the buffet lunch hour is over (2pm.). I always had to wait to be attended to before a staff would apear. Worse yet, after I finished my meal there was no one in sight. They all disappeared into the kitchen to do the cleaning up or whatever. I would either have to go to the front desk or the kitchen to ask for a bill. It was rather frustrating especially if I had another appointment coming up. I felt like leaving without paying and they could run after me with a bill! The hotel might consider adding a cashier to be stationed in the dining room in order to rectify this situation. But not to worry, IBIS Sathorn is still my favourite hotel.

    Facility and Sevice”

*Compact size not far away from main street & dowtown .Reasonable rate.
At budget rate ,facilities are not prepared with high quality hardware i.e. aircondition is not "cool" enough even after swtching on for an hour.Toilet accessories are limited too.

The hotel building is attractive when looking from the road side .I can imagine how neat & clean it is ( as the budget rated hotel can allow me to imagine ).I didn't expect the excellent service and I was ready/willing to carry laggages & stuff by myself, direct to the room without the porter's help. I used to stay in a downtown small hotel which room rate was a bit higher ( in high season )compare to Ibis Sathorn .The said hotel is able to provide more or greater facitlity i.e. biger screen TV ( with sattlelite TV programs ).By the whole picture,Ibis Sathorn is okay for biz guy who travel alone or a couple who just needs a nice & clean place to sleep.I don't thik the hotel & service fit for the family group due to the provided facilities.Compare to a 4 stars hotel in Mongkok/HKK ,room size is similar. Only room facilities there, are larger !!

Friendly Hotel with a Great Location”

New, Clean and close to the Subway !

The Ibis Sathorn is a small boutique type hotel in a great area. Lots of restaurants and only a 5 minute walk to the subway station where it is easy to get around Bangkok. Although the rooms are small, they are very clean, comfortable and functional. Loved it and will stay there again. Price is so affordable.

Reasonable Price, Clean and Small Rooms”

    Clean and nice room arrangement
very small room, cannot open the luggage at the same time with friend.

My first impression about Ibis Sathorn is lovely hotel with good arrangement on room space and good decoration. Small hotel but nice. The hotel surroundings also good with small supermarket and pharmacy in front of the hotel. Good noodle also available at the night near to the hotel. It's easy to find public transportation from the hotel and also friendly and lovely service from the hotel crew. I just ask the hotel crew about direction to the place where I want to visit.
