Compared to other IBIS hotels in Morocco, I found breakfast in IBIS Fes disappointing. I wanted Breakfast to start at 7:00 or earlier, instead of 7:30 for an early train departures. Also at 7:30, some hot dishes were not available.

The Facilities are great!”
While the rooms maintain the same ibis set up, the facilities for this Ibis hotel is definitely more impressive than the other ibis. it comes with a fairly large outdoor pool and the pool is lit up with mood lighting after dark. its location right beside the train station also makes it extremely convenient for commute between towns.

Good location for transport in and out of Fes”
We chose this hotel as we planned to take a day trip to Meknes followed by the night bus to Merzouga so it was perfectly located for both the train station and the Supratours bus stop. Booking on Agoda was also much cheaper than booking directly at the hotel. Also, being Summer, the heat in Fes can be unbearable and the swimming pool at the Ibis was a great way to cool down. Finally, we had already spent a couple of days staying inside the medina and needed to take a break from the chaos of the medina.

Poor organisation ”
I was rather disapointed by the ibis, I wanted to stay for convenience as we were catching a train to Marrakech. We'd just arrived from a long journey from London and it was about 3.30pm, long after checkin but we had to change rooms 4 times. The first room was quite dirty and the air-con didnt work, the second room hadn't been cleaned and there was tissue and dirty ear buds on the floor, the 3rd room had no electricity at all so the bathroom was pitchblack at all times and finally we got given the 2nd room but had to wait until 4pm for it to be ready even though check in was 2pm. I would only recommend it for a breif stop when catching a late train, otherwise avoid it and stay in the Medina as we did when we got back to Fes.

Pleasant stay ”
On the 6th of September we stayed at Ibis-Fez. The female receptionist was very helpful. We checked in by 7 pm . Though we spent only few hours until we took our scheduled train to Marrakech, we had a pleasant stay,. Rooms are well maintained . Literally next to the train station . Wifi worked very well. Price was reasonable.

Good value for the price you pay”
Like in Casablanca Ibis the shower hose was broken and leaking. Can not have a proper shower which is frustrating after a busy day. Complained the first day but had not attended till we left the next day. Staff is excellent and make up for the shortcomings, but all the Ibis hotels we stayed in Morocco was away inferior to Ibis standards in other parts of the world. The problem lies in the maintenance area.

Nice stay, practical and easy.. staff is very helpful and nice other than this the company is not offering any facilities other than the room, no cuttle and tea in the room, no compliments at all.. very cheap attitude being taken by a big company.. I wouldn't go to IBIS in any other country and maybe even wouldn't try the same hotels if i visit Morocco again

I arrived late at Fez, so this hotel is very practical as it's situated besides the main train station (in new town area). However if you're looking for authentic Morocco experience, you have to try riad. although, from this hotel, u can take a taxi (20dh) to old town, in 15min. Still, most convenient place to stay if you're looking for short stay and using the train station.

Disappointing for the price”
Pros- location is great as it is right beside the train station(which has a fantastic cafe inside for breakfast). The neighbourhood is good for a night. The bathroom was very clean and the water was nice and hot. Cons-the hotel is dated, it needs some real upgrades-not much space in the room because of the bed taking up most of the room. The power went out on our floor and there were no emergency light kicking in-we had to use the flashlight feature on our camera. And make sure to request a non smoking room, we assumed we had one but didn’t and the room had the odor of stale smoke(but we were able to open the window up wide so that helped. For the price the hotel could be better but the location suited us perfectly for one night.

I found many ants and cockroach in my foom. In the balcony, there is beehive. So dangerous to go balcony. But staffs are very friendly and kind. And food of restaurant and bar are very tasty.
