Modern, comfortable and easy access to MTR
Good location, close to MTR, clean, comfortable, modern and acceptable value for Hong Kong
Overall the hotel was good with no issues of note however as with all IBIS hotels the rooms are small especially for families.

Good value hotel with great views
Harbour view, great value for Hong Kong, clean room
The Harbour View room has superb views and was excellent value for the price, considering Hong Kong's high hotel rates. The room is not large but is everything you need if you are out during the day, and has a big enough desk to work from looking out over the view. I was worried it would be too far away but the MTR was a short walk away, the airport express shuttle bus does a free drop off and pick up directly outside, and I ended up walking everywhere anyway which was quite easy to do (15-20 minutes to Midlevel escalators, 15mins to IFC mall, 25 mins to the Peak tram). The area is a a really great mix of old and new and close to some great restaurants/bars/cafes on Hollywood Rd.

Functional
Cleanliness, staff quality, location
The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. The room itself is nicely laid out and the bed comfortable. It is basically a simple but pleasant place to stay when in HK without having to spend the usual fortune.

Spacious for Hong Kong standards
location, spaciousness, upgrade
In the middle of the dried mushrooms and fish area of HK, Ibis is a good place to stay. We arrived early (7.30 am) and we were upgraded to a harbour view room since that was the only available room at the moment. Although a smokers room, that was a good bargain to get some rest overcoming our jetlag from Europe and a wonderful sight over the Kowloon harbour.. The room was spacious for HK standards with the amenities to be expected from an Ibis hotel. We did not try the breakfast, since we are low on that. The Starbucks on the groundfloor is busy, however, we have had better croissants, danish cinnamon etc. with Starbucks. Hollywood Road just starts 2 blocks away, the charming tram starts 1 block away from Western Market and SoHo is just 10 minutes walking.
