This is my second stay at the Ibis Kochi City Centre in Ernakulam, Kerala State, India in May 2022 after my initial stay in August 2021. It was great with wonderful and effortless check-in process, respect, courtesy, amenities and also provided me with a Double late check out along with a complimentary Dinner Buffet which was great and very helpful before I left to the local Airport for a very early morning International flight. I was offered a Welcome Drink by Mr. Saikat who checked me in who was wonderful, very helpful, understanding and respectful. He also made the whole process seem very easy! Ms. Ramona at the Reception who checked me out was also very helpful and understanding. The only confusion was about one of my Credit cards, a global card not getting accepted on their instrument or device. They had to try multiple devices for two different Credit Cards! Hope, these things gets corrected promptly as it's very inconvenient for a foreign tourist. This is a common practice in India with many of the Retail Merchants! I also found that the Rental charges offered through a Travel Agent being somewhat very expensive even after I had explained an ongoing issue of not having liquid cash or enough Indian rupees with me at the time. Added to my difficulties was that the hotel did not even have a Foreign Exchange Service so that I could have easily exchanged my foreign currencies for the local currency. Other than that, everything about Ibis was outstanding! I would like to make a special mention and thanks to all of its present and excellent staff, especially Mr. Shahal from Housekeeping who was always there with one call, very prompt and extremely helpful and understanding. Thank you to Mr. Allen from Engineering, besides another Gentleman who helped me with my Bathroom plumbing issue and who was also from Engineering. Prime Location, good breakfast, courteous staff. ”
I was reaching Kochi early in the morning and most of the hotels do check in at around 2 PM. I called many hotels to request for early check-in and most of them accepted my request at an extra cost (ranging from 1000/- to 1800/-) except IBIS where Mr Qadrat told me not to worry and early check-in will be possible. I asked him about any extra cost and he reassured me that early check-in is subject to room availability and he has no intention of charging anything extra. Anyway fast forward to the time when i reached hotel at around 10.30 AM and the check-in was really hassle free. I wanted to personally thank Mr Qadrat unfortunately he was not available on that day. I ordered cutting tea and got it delivered to my room, the taste was better than my expectations. Staff - Highly courteous. 5/5 Food - Had only breakfast, really tasty. 5/5 Room - Clean but small, good for only two people. There might be bigger rooms but I am not aware of them. 4/5 Facilities - Great. Fast WiFi, in room dining, free water bottles etc. 5/5 Location - Prime location. Lots of eateries, restaurants, cinema halls, shopping malls and local market.5/5 Recommendation - Recommended to stay. 4.5/5 NOTE: Writing review on mobile so there might be some typos.

No fuss or frills hotel. Absolutely utilitarian in a good way. Location is pretty cool, there is a 24hr eatery bang opposite to the hotel. Staff very courteous and accommodating, as we reached at 3am in the morning. Made our check in process easy and quick! Recommend if you are in the city for a couple of days and are planning to spend most of your time city touring.

The hotel is clean and reasonably priced. The location is excellent. The only issue was one of the rooms had an odd smell. I reported it to front desk and they sent someone with a spray but it still lingered(smell). Otherwise a good stay. Nice breakfast as well.
