Comfortable place - Convenient location”
have been staying at this ibis on bencoolen street for 2 nights - and i have nothing to complain; if i need to stay in singapore again, i will choose it again. the rooms are sufficiently equipped, clean, well maintained. bathroom with shower comes in handy for me, since i prefer shower over bath tub. the outside noise from the roads, etc., is quite effectively filtered out, so you can have a good, undisturbed rest, which is not in every singapore hotel the case. breakfast is usually not included, but for additional charge available - and their breakfast is quite amazing, big spread, proper bread - and you can take your own freshly brewed coffee from two coffee machines provided. this hotel has free wifi in the rooms as well as in the lobby / restaurant - and they also provide free parking in their multi-storey car park. this is definitely a big plus if you are driving because parking space in singapore is not easily available. the location is great, if you do not depend on staying at orchard road; from ibis you can easily walk in a few minutes to bugis and bugis junction, even to get to raffles city and marina square as well as suntec city is only about 10 to 15 minutes walk. right behind the hotel is one of singapore very famous temple (not the oldest one, though). taxi at the lobby are also easily available - but if you need to go orchard or other places a bit further from bencoolen street, you can reach mrt station bugis junction within few minuted walking - and from there explore the city by mrt (fast and convenient). in case you have heard about bugis street before - it is not anymore what it has been in the 'golden' past - now it is simply a street full of vendors, selling souvenirs and t-shirts - so, don't be disappointed. however, that has nothing to do with ibis hotel. one more remark, if you are driving, from bencoolen street you can easily reach ecp, aye and from there cross onto pie, sle and tpe.
Excellent! Comfortable!Tidy! It's my first time to choose Ibis Hotel Singapore on Bencoolen and this was a wonderful experience. Ibis hotel offer great service at a very affordable price in Singapore. The view I could see from my room in 16th floor is nice and beautiful. The location is nice even it is little far away from famous tourist attraction. There are a 7-11 convenience store and restaurant in 1st floor. In front of the gate of Ibis is a bus stop. You can go to shopping malls and markets where you will find some souvenirs by walking. Bugis MRT station is also near from Ibis. It is fast to check-in and check-out. The receptionist was friendly. I got one free box of Eco-Pen for memories when I check out. You also can buy stamps for post cards and send from the cute mail box in Ibis. It is an excellent expericece for me in Ibis Hotel Singapore on Bencoolen^^
Great location, clean room, good services.”
We stayed at Ibis for 3 nights and have a great experience. These are some of the things we enjoyed most while we stayed there. 1. Great Location. Ibis at Bencoolen is strategically located near shopping area and easy access to public transportation. It is only 3 minutes walking distance to OG Albert Dept Store and around 7 minutes to the famous Bugis Junction Shopping complex. Right accross the hotel there is a pick up point for you to go to Universal Studios Singapore and Sentosa Island for free. (Only for foreigners and you MUST show your passport to the driver before you can hop in to the bus) The shuttle bus also stopped at Marina Bay Sands Hotel and Casino. The first bus will be arrive at 09.00 am and come again every 30 minutes. Reguler bus stop is right in front of the hotel, you can go directly to Orchard or anywhere else from this point. Nearest MRT station will be at Bugis Junction area. And if you feel hungry you dont need to worry because just behind the hotel there is a medium to large food court complex consist of around 80-100 outlets or stall. 2. Free Wi Fi Access You will get a free access to wifi from your room. Uploading your holiday photos in Singapore will be a fun thing to do after a day full of walking and sightseeing. 3. Clean and neat room. The size of the room is not so big but the cleanliness of the room is a plus point. They managed to maximized the room space to the point where everything that we need in a hotel room is availlabe. For me and my family to comeback to this Hotel again is a big sure.
Staying again ”
Having stayed in a number of hotels in Singapore including several 5-star ones over the past 15 years, I find IBIS Singapore on Bencoolen quite refreshing. It's your best bet if traveling to this city on a budget -- the hotel is centrally-located, a block away from Bugis market, Bugis Village and with easy access to Orchard. But what I really like about the hotel is the hotel front desk staff. They are very enthusiastic and very, very helpful. Quite a difference from the reception staff of other hotels -- the IBIS staff are there to meet your every need. There is also free wifi and internet access near the reception for guests without a laptop. This is a major plus for those traveling on business. I will stay in this hotel again and again when in Singapore.
The hotel is strategically located, as it was in front of the bus stop. If you aren't rushing for an appointment, bus is a good option. It was on time and there's frequent buses. If you're rushing or returning to hotel at late night, then it's best to take Grab or Uber ride. Also, the hotel is near to Bugis MRT station. So, it is quite convenient to head down to City Centre. The staffs were helpful, as two of them (the Korean lady and Malaysian Indian lady) shared their travel tips with me. I had my breakfast at the hotel. The choices of buffet were reasonable with the price. Otherwise, you can head to Albert Center for breakfast/lunch, but try avoid peak hour. The queue can get ridiculously long. Overall, I would consider to stay at Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Hotel again.
A Hotel With A Great Atmosphere”
Stayed at the Ibis Hotel along Bencoolen Street for a total of 3 days and two nights. It had a very good atmosphere to it and I will definitely come back here the next time. Lets start off with the hotel itself, choices of colours for its interior of the hotel lobby and its room were spot on. Staff were very welcoming for my needs. Rooms were very clean, especially the toilet. A nice touch were the usage of wooden parquet floors for the room which made the whole stay more cozy. I would also suggest to book a room that comes with the extra benifits, things like the "Handy Smartphone" which allows you to make unlimited and FREE calls to your loved ones to most of the countries makes the stay more desirable as you are constantly being connected. Oh and not to mention, you can also bring that phone out with you so you can use it anytime and anywhere...and of course WiFi is also available in your own room. Location wise, the hotel is conveniently located about 5 to 10 minutes walk away from the Bugis MRT station which is beneath a shopping centre. Bugis Street is along the corner as well which makes it a breeze for you to get food especially in the day. There is also an indian mamak restaurant located opposite of the hotel if indian food is in mind for supper that is opened throughtout the night. I also found out that there were two 7-Elevens nearby, one of which is located just next to the hotel itself. All in all, I enjoyed my stay here and I highly reccomend it. Sweet, Smart Simple, Clean, Cozy and Convenient. Those are the words best to describe this hotel. Good job Ibis Hotel!
A comfortable hotel and great location”
We chose to stay at the Ibis this visit to Singapore to avoid exhorbitant hotel rates that seem to be the order of the day. The hotel is in a great location near Bugis Street, very convenient for lots of different areas in central Singapore and transport seemed very good and easy- lots of taxis, buses and the MRT just nearby. Check-in was very easy and we were pleased that our request for an early check-in was met. The room, facing Bencoolen Street on the 7th floor was fine, quite small but it had everything you need. There was a nice writing desk in the window with lots of power sockets for laptop etc. The bed was large and comfortable, there was a small closet for hanging things and several shelves for clothing. There was also an iron and ironing board in the room, which was great and much appreciated. The bathroom was small but well designed with a really effective shower. I'm not a great fan of liquid soap from wall dispensers but it was okay. The air-conditioning was efficient and cooled the room nicely for sleeping. There was a small wall-mounted TV which was fine although the choice of channels was limited and there was also a small fridge (empty) which was convenient for storing drinks. The tap-water was said to be drinkable but we preferred to buy bottled water as the hotel didn't provide any. Check-out was fast and efficient as everything had been prepaid and it was easy to get a taxi from the Ibis to the airport. There always seemed to be taxis waiting at the ground level which made getting around really easy. It was only a few minutes walk to Albert Mall and Bugis Street/Bugis Village, so shopping locally was very easy and convenient. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay at the Ibis. The only negative is that the hotel has neither swimming pool nor gym on the premises. After a day wandering around steamy Singapore, it would have been nice to be able to cool down in a hotel pool!
The Ibis on Bencoolen is an excellent value. Accommodations and furnishings are modern and clean, with nice light wood for the desk and bed and a lovely (and spotlessly clean) glass-walled shower stall. It is only two blocks from the Bugis MRT station, which provides a direct connection to Changi Airport as well as a great jumping off point for exploring the city. A 7-Eleven is conveniently located right next door to the hotel, making it easy to get late night snacks and drinks at decent (read: not hotel-inflated) prices. The free, in-room wireless internet access is also a nice treat when so many other hotels in the city charge a rather absurd daily rate and provide only an inconveniently-located LAN port to get connected. My only complaint is the paper-thin doors: every sound from the hallway makes its way into your room. The walls between the rooms themselves, however, seemed fairly well soundproofed (either that, or the rooms on either side of mine were unoccupied - I couldn't tell). One caution is that the beds, as throughout much of Asia, are very firm. I personally like this, but it might be a downside for some. Altogether, the Hotel Ibis on Bencoolen provides an excellent value and a great location for someone looking to stay in comfortable, clean, and modern accommodations for somewhat less than the pervasive five-star prices charged by many other hotels in the city. I will certainly be back the next time I am in the area.
Good hotel in central area and close to transport”
My stay at the Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Hotel was a pleasant experience. The hotel is centrally located near the shopping areas of Bugis, Raffles City, Marina Square, Suntec City and Orchard Rd. The hotel is close to several MRT stations which provide easy access to all areas of Singapore, whether you are visiting for work or pleasure. Great dining experiences can be found in Bugis, and in the Marina area near theatres and Casinos.
High standard Hotel with good location”
very easy to find this hotel. Only 5-7 mins walking from MRT Bugis Station. After coming up from EXIT C of MRT Bugis Station, You will see the Bugis Junction department store. It will be a lot easier if you do not enter the store but walk along the outside passway on your right. When you reach Victoria street at traffic lights, look across you will see a local indoor shopping street calked Bugis Street :the largest shopping street in singapore. Then you go across the street before you and the walk through this shopping archade (there are goids like souvenirs, clothes, fruit juice and watches) untill you reach the end. then you will find another small street called Queen street. In front of you is Albert Centre, a local food court in yellow building. You go across Queen street and walk to your left until you see the sign "Bencoolen street" turn right and walk along this very small street (be careful of passing cars). Walk pass a yard in front of Kwan Im temple on your left. walk on another block. When you see a small junction with sign " Bencoolen link" just turn left, you will reach the back of Ibis Hotel Bencoolen.
Great location and clean and affordable rooms”
Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Hotel is in a great location for shoppers. Bugis Junction and other shopping destinations are just a couple of blocks away. The Bugis MRT Terminal is easily accessible to guests. The room rates are very affordable and the hotel itself has very modern interiors. Guests could take a scenic walk to Orchard Road from the hotel. Each room has free Wi-fi.
Great service and sweet bed”
Initially I didn't expect much for this trip. After check-in, then enter the room, my mind change. The staff who assisted me to check in my room, is extremely helpful and friendly. My room was clean, simple and comfortable. One thing I would like to mention is their bed. They called it "sweet bed". It looks ordinary, but when you lay on it, you will feel the difference. No joke, this is the first time I miss a hotel's bed so badly. They really serious with their bedding. This hotel located at a very good location, in the center of Bugis, a very convenient place. You can easily get a bus or taxi by just walking out from lobby. MRT station, hawker center, OG shopping complex, temples, Bugis Junction, Bugis +, are all just walking distance away. For those who are visiting Singapore and would like to stay in a nice and clean hotel with reasonable price, friendly staff and good night's sleep, I highly recommend Ibis Singapore to you.

IT'S ALWAYS GOOD TO BE BACK.”
It's always good to be back at Ibis singapore on bencoolen hotel. It's not expensive and the staff is great and also the breakfast also good. The location also really nice, near bugis street if you want to buy not expensive stuff and also near electronic store at sim lim and burlington square. Overall if i go to singapore i always stay at ibis for better price.
Good hotel and good location ”
We stayed for 2 days at Ibis Hotel Bencoolen. We like the room and hotel service -clean and nice. If you plan to go to Sentosa or Universal Studio there are free shuttle bus accros the hotel every hour. The hotel near to Bugis Junction and Bugis Street where you can shopping and eating with a good prize. It was a great experience stay at Ibis Hotel Bencoolen. We want to stay at Ibis hotel Bencoolen again when we go back to Singapore.
Great hotel with lovely food service”
We had stayed at the HK Ibis (northpoint) prior to visiting Singapore and found the experience at Bencoolen just as pleasant and satisfying as our HK stay. Mind you we're a retired couple not looking for thrills and fancy stuffs, but simple, clean, comfortable surroundings to spend the night (and whatever day time we spend at the hotel). Both Ibis met our expectations even though the two differ in size and layout. The staff was warm, friendly, pleasant and eager to please. Even during the mad rush at noon when every one wanted to check out, their performance was superb. I eye-witnessed a "difficult" guest complaining incessantly and heatedly about possible overcharges or billing mistakes, but the staff handled it calmly, patiently and professionally. We were surprised by the quality of food offered by the dining room; we tried the 5-item tasty and found it to surpass the famed street foods of Singapore while very reasonably priced. The service was superb.
Great value for money”
The Ibis Hotel at Bencoolen street is the best value for money deal you can find in Singapore. I find the city to be overpriced in terms of hotels rates, however this one is the only one that offers good services+comfort+in-room space+cleanliness at a reasonable rate. Although breakfast is not included, there are a number of eateries at your doorstep which will cost you way less than the average rate for a breakfast. The MRT is a short 4 minutes walk away (close to Starbucks). Sim Lim square is just opposite and it is the perfect place to buy electronics at good prices. If you are in Singapore for sightseeing, do not miss Little India which is only a few steps away. Definitely a great location.
Centrally located hotel”
As always, Ibis on Bencoolen Hotel never failed to meet my expectation/s. We had a great stay in this hotel as it has a very comfortable room and bed to sleep after a very tiring day. It's central location makes it very convenient to visit different places in Singapore. MRT station is walking distance and the bus stop is just outside the hotel. The bugis street is an attraction especially if one wants to buy souvenirs by bulk and cheap clothings. Also, not to mention the ABC store (the cheapest store in Singapore) where you can buy groceries and food to eat if you want. Overall, this will always be my favorite place to stay in Singapore.
lucky me..last day in singapore stay at ibis bencoolen. its a perfect hotel location, many shop and food we can find suround this hotel. room realy clean. the atmosphere also nice. just walking a few minute we can reach bugis mrt station. its same station without change to go to changi airport its very convinient. many interesting place suround include hindus temple and chinnese vihara, also just a few steph we can find arab street which we can try india good food. my last days is perfect staying at ibis bencoolen.
I was impressed on checkin by the excellent value Ibis provides. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. I also appreciated that they did not try to add on extra costs for Internet and parking. But what really set them apart was the excellent service. My daughter was on a school trip and stayed in a different hotel with her classmates for our first 4 nights. On the last night, she came to ibis bencooler to stay with us in an separate room (could have squeezed in but opted for comfort). She got sick suddenly , just before her checkin to ibis bencoolen and was running a high fever. I asked if we could have a room for her close to the one my son and I were staying in so that I could keep a good eye on her overnight. That was not possible in the regular roo. We had stayed in. So the manager changed us to a different floor where we could be next to each other. Turned out it was an upgraded floor! He was so nice and considerate, even sent a little get well gift up to my daughter. I have stayed in many 5'str hotels, like,Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. I would say, especially in our time of need, we felt extremely well taken care of, better than almost any other hotel and comparing favorably with RC and FS. Thanks Ibis, we will definitely stay again!
