Good location for getting around the Old Quarter”

If you like the hustle & bustle of Hanoi at night, the Ibiz is in a great location. There are bars & eateries next door, across the road & up every street & spare space you can care to find, the whole of the Old Quarter is like this. Our room was on the very top floor, 5 double floors, 108 steps to be precise! Lucky for us our 11 & 9 year old loved the novelty of trying to make it up the stairs without stopping...for anyone unfit, it wouldn't be much fun but we found it absolutely fine for 3-4 days. The Staff are great, very friendly & very helpful...they even walked us to the bus stop the day we were leaving to make sure we found it ok. The buffet breakfast has a mixture of Asian & Western food as well as fresh fruit & tea/coffee. Considering the location, the breakfast being included, large spacious rooms (our family room was big) & the nice staff, this place is great value for money.

Excellent service!”

I travelled to Hanoi last Nov with my family (2 of us are 65 years old). We started on the wrong foot because we had to wait for an hour and a half for the hotel's airport transfer. But once we got to the hotel, all the staff were friendly and accommodating. They even handed out a map of the area, and recommended places that we can visit, shop and eat at. The location of the hostel was really good because it was surrounded by the shopping stalls, restaurants and other hotels. The room we got was very spacious. It had 1 king size bed and 2 single beds. It was clean and comfortable with a old-school french interior. The only thing that was a struggle was going up and down the flight of stairs since our room was on the third floor. At night, the streets become noisy because the hostel was at the heart of the beer street. But it is not that disturbing to the point that you cannot really sleep, and the noises die down at 2am. Food is good as well! Definitely will come back!

The best Hostel in Hanói Center ”

The best place to stay in center of Hanói, located exactly in the center of Old Quarter, but away from the noise, everything was super clean, the doms are bunker, with privacity, light, etc.. They provide towels, gel, toothbrush ☺️.. The free breakfast it's the best in town, clean, eggs, sausage, fruits, etc 😋Had some issues with the noise of other guest, but it wasn't the hostel fault.. At least, Quan, the barman apologize for that and that was really nice, he's a good Worker..Zoe the girl in the reception was professional and kind, giang was really nice too.. I will come back

Awesome location!”

The hostel is right in the center of the old quarter, with lots of restaurants, bars, shops etc around. It also serves as a bar which is why it can be a little loud at night. Breakfast was okay, everything was clean, they booked a bus ride to Ha Giang for us which was nice (there were some language barriers but it worked out fine). All in all a good hostel, though I’m sure you can find cheaper ones in the area.

Short and Simple”

The hostel is big, A bar on the ground level and never ending flight of stairs to my dorm room at the attic. During the day, the room gets cooked hot and the heat continues to radiate from the walls in the night. I woke up to sweating hot shirts. However, i was transferred to another dorm room at the 4th level which is much cooler, but means 1 floor lower to the noisy street bars that continues until 1am. I enjoyed the free breakfast the most with mains like bacon and rice, eggs, fruits and vegetables to start the day. 1 complimentary draught beer during 7-8pm. Paul who happens to run the ground bar was extremely accommodating, and the front desks staffs were friendly and helpful and hardworking. I had to park my motorcycle at a nearby parking centre as the hostel does not allow. Because of the unbeatable price and buffet breakfast and beer, it attracted many long term stayers. I would definitely return in the near future if time permits.

Good value for money”

My first room was quite nice for the price I paid. I had a nice shower and everything was clean. The furniture was very old, but for that money, I think, it really didn't matter to me. The second room was much smaller (I booked this room later). The bathroom was not as nice as in the first room, but still okay. The disadvantage of the second room was that I could hear everything what was going on downstairs. Unfortunately, there were some drunk people knocking on my door in the middle of the night. Was a little frightened and couldn't really sleep, unfortunately.

VALUE FOR MONEY”

Stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights tho I was only able to use 2 days and 2 nights because of a boat trip I booked with the same hotel. Staff were really nice, they were very responsive to queries, I actually had to reschedule our arrival time and the boat trip to Halong bay the last minute but they did it totally with ease. Location is great as it is located near the center of everything. The restaurant downstairs however was a little loud, but good thing we stayed on the 3rd floor so it wasnt really much of a nuisance. And if you are alone and looking for night life and fun, this is the best place to stay to. Overall, had a great experience and will surely book here again next time we travel back again to Hanoi.

Great as long as you're not looking for peace and quiet”

We had no idea that we were actually booking a hotel just 100m from the craziest intersection in the Old Quarter. At night, the area gets packed with tourists and revelers having beers and food at one of the many sidewalk restaurants. On the weekend, the streets are closed off and it becomes like Mardi Gras. If you happen to get a street-facing room (like we did) prepare to not get any rest. Even if you're in an interior room but close to the lobby, the hotel lobby itself is a bar with loud music. Other than that, we were happy with our rooms and the staff.

Everyone here's very friendly! They were great hosts and made us believe at home. They helped organize the tour of ours to Halong Bay for a cheap cost when compared with the online booking. Additionally they created some great suggestions for food and we had been pleased. The breakfast was extraordinary with fresh juices and created to order omelets. General, would certainly recommend to anybody who wishes to experience Hanoi.

The mixed room is on the 5th floor, no elevator so it's a bit tiring to go upstairs but its ok if you're full. It's an instant cardio..lol.. Buffet breakfast which is awesome. More on american bfast. Ground floor is a bar at night and the rest outside so it's the hustle and bustle of Old Quarter. The staffs are not that friendly I mean they're not approachable but overall I had a good stay.
